PENINGKATAN KUALITAS DAN KUANTITAS KOPI ARABIKA KINTAMANI DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KOMODITAS EKSPOR SEKTOR PERKEBUNAN

Abstract

Ringkasan Eksekutif Di Kabupaten Bangli khususnya di Kintamani ada beberapa subak abian/ koperasi tani yang anggotanya sebagai petani kopi arabika sekaligus melakukan penanganan pengolahan pasca panen olah basah (wet process). Hasil wawancara dengan kelihan (ketua) subak abian Bakti Yasa, Ketua Koperasi Tani Perkebunan Mulih Sari, dan eksportir kopi yang ada, mereka menyatakan sangat antusias dengan adanya pembinaan UKM yang dilakukan oleh DIKTI dan mengharapkan agar dapat terlaksana karena ke dua UKM ini sangat berminat memperbaiki mutu hasil olahan dan menambah jumlah produksi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar serta sekaligus mampu sebagai eksportir. Berkaitan dengan kuantitas yaitu produktivitas kebun kopi masih relatif rendah, kendala yang dijumpai adalah teknik budidaya meliputi bibit, pemupukan dan pemeliharaan kesemuanya belum optimal sehingga akan berpengaruh baik terhadap kuantitas maupun kualitas mutu citarasa dan aroma produk. Tujuan dari program ini adalah pembinaan terhadap UKM mitra dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi baik kualitas maupun kuantitas kopi arabika dalam upaya peningkatan volume ekspor. Metode yang diterapkan adalah memberikan pelatihan kepada UKM mitra. Penentuan UKM menggunakan metode porpusive sampling, yaitu Subak Abian Bakti Yasa dan Subak Abiah Muluh Sari dengan dasar pertimbangan keduanya orentasi produksi untuk ekspor. Setiap UKM dipilih 20 petani untuk diberi pelatihan. Sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan diberikan pre- test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan pada tahun pertama, telah mampu meningkatkan omzet 10% per tahun, penambahan investasi 10% dan perluasan pemasaran di tingkat regional dan di tingkat internasional yaitu ke negara Korea Kata-kata kunci: kopi arabika, ekspor, subak, proses kering Executive Summary In Bangli Regency, especially at Kintamani, there are some subak abian/traditional farmer organization whose members are as arabica coffee farmers and also handle the post harvest wet process. The interview with kelihan (chairman) of subak abian of Bakti Yasa, The Farmer Cooperation of Mulih Sari Plantation, and the existing exporter, they stated enthusiastically with the UKM (small and medium enterprises than hereafter SME) that conducted by DIKTI and expected it can be conducted because both SMEs really want to improve the process results quality and enhance the production amount to fulfill the market demand and also able to be exporters. Related with the quantity, the plantation production still low, the faced obstacles are the cultivation technique including seeds, fertilizing and rearing, all of them not optimal yet so will influence the quality or quantity of the product taste and aroma. The program is aimed at constructing the partner SMEs in facing the obstacles either in quality or quantity in effort to improve the export volume. SMEs partner determination and activities method, SMEs were determined by purposive sampling, that is Subak Abian Bakti Yasa, Subak Abian Mulih Sari, with consideration both of them have conducted export. Then each SME’s member was determined of 20 farmers to be given training. The given training divided into two stages, i.e. theory and practices. Before training, pre test was conducted to measure the training effectiveness and at the end of activities were given post test. The output of the activities could improve aspect 10%/year, the investment addition of 10% and marketing extension at regional level and international level that is to Korea, SMEs still need companionship to absorb all given trainings so the turnover increase target, and investment of 10% per year can be realized well.
