The potential ofÂ ExoticÂ Earth wormÂ EndogeikÂ (Pontoscolex corethrurus)Â for Production VermikomposÂ Â Â granules (Vermigran) Local Organil-Based Materials. In 2011, total demand forÂ organic fertilizer in Indonesia was 12.394 million tons and 2.601 million tonsÂ of new available. This requirement will continue to increase until 2015, so theÂ opportunityÂ Â toÂ Â developÂ Â great organic fertilizer. OneÂ disadvantageÂ of theÂ use of organic fertilizers is very much inÂ Â Â volume (bulky), it is necessaryÂ Â Â vermikompos manufacturingÂ innovation inÂ Â theÂ Â formÂ Â of granules toÂ Â beÂ Â more efficientÂ Â inÂ Â the applicationand transport. Research objectives are: (1) study the potential Â Â Â of earthworms in producing vermikompos PontoscolexÂ Â Â corethrurus of l local organic ingredients, and (2)produce quality vermikompos in the form ofÂ granules.Â The studyÂ Â Â wasÂ Â conducted inÂ Â aÂ Â greenhouse Fak. Agriculture and inÂ Â theÂ Â yardÂ Â of a house in Ngesrep,Â Â Boyolali, in July-November 2011. TheÂ Â Â study design using a CompletelyÂ Randomized Design, factorial,two factor. Factor 1 isÂ composed of three typesÂ ofÂ wormsÂ Â cedar, andÂ theÂ secondÂ factorisÂ the variationÂ of theÂ type of organic material, consisting of 7 cedar. The variablesmeasured were vermikompos nutrient quality and speedÂ of theÂ waterÂ solubilityÂ vermikomposÂ Â granules. TheÂ results showedÂ thatÂ Pontoscolex corethrurus high potentialto produce vermikomposÂ that meet ISOÂ Â qualityÂ Â compost.Â Â CowÂ Â pile, pile quail, waterÂ hyacinthÂ Â canÂ beÂ used asÂ aÂ raw materialÂ Â vermikompos.Â Â Clay,Â Â starch, starch and claymixture (1:1) can beÂ used asÂ an adhesive vermikompos granules (vermigran) soluble inÂ Â water at <48 hours. Production vermigran great potential forÂ Â developmentas a high-quality organic fertilizer.
