Abstract

PT. GE Lighting Indonesia is a manufacturing company that producing lamp. In generally, PT. GE Lighting Indonesia’s producing line consists of 5 machines with buffer allocation storage between machine that have early capacity of buffer1= 1225 units, buffer2= 915 units, buffer3=820 units, and buffer4=545 units. The allocation of these buffer is definetely done with purpose to place output from machine before processed to the next machine. Time difference process in every machine make the stream of production process become less fluent and affecting less maximal throughput. Other cause that making the throughput of production line process less maximal is machine damage factor. Although the preventive maintenance policy is applied in PT. GE Lighting Indonesia remain to be the machine damage cannot be obviated at production process take place. This research will try to redetermine the buffer allocation in PT. GE Lighting Indonesia in order to make the production process more fluent, so that can increase the throughput in production line. The method that is use to redetermine the buffer allocation is simulation approach. The reason why the author use this method is because there wasn’t found a representative and valid analytical model that match with the system.The simulation is done with Promodel 4.0 software. Based on the experiment design and running of simulation, it’s achieved a conclusion that the best alternative buffer capacity is at 900 units (buffer1, buffer2, buffer3, buffer4 has a same capacity at 900 units) with average throughput at 9.651 units/shift. While in the early buffer capacity only produce as many as 9.207 units/shift. Finally, if it’s compared with the early condition, redetermining the buffer allocation can increase the throughput of production line process equal to 444 units/shift.

Abstract

Multi Media Training Centre Yogyakarta (MMTC) is one of the education institution which have some resource which must be managed, among others are peralatan studio and sarana penunjang. Peralatan studio and sarana penunjang are loaned for the praktik of student and rented for the eksternal of MMTC. Therefore, system which is integrated are needed to yield the presentation of information and good data management. This Journal was analized the system to know requirement of system, then designed the system to design the inventories information system which required by a system. Information system design were using object oriented approach and use UML covering to identify the actor, making business process model using activity diagram, making use case diagram, making sequence diagram and identify the class. At phase of application design, were designed of database and interface. After design the database and interface, hence were made a program code by paying attention of use case diagram and interaction diagram which have been specified previously in the object oriented model from designed system. From result of design of inventories information system has got the inputs which is form for login, inventories data, rent expenses data, location data, merk data, lender data, condition data, unit data, maintenance schedule, maintenance action, searching lender data, searching inventories data, loaning transaction, rent transaction, return transaction, and input of loaning report. And the outputs are maintenance early warning, surat order, list of inventories report, list of lender report and list of loaning report. From the result of validation to function in application obtained that the function are valid and work well.

Abstract

Orthotic and Prosthetic Instalation of Ortopedic Hospital of production unit in the making of prosthesis orthosis in Indonesia. So far there is no technician status which contains finishing time for all orders which are being processed . This condition causes the delay in order finishing time. Therefore, it needs information system which can make task allocation model (new order) better. After system analysis was done to find out the needs of the system, the information system of the process of prosthesis orthosis product order is designed. The existing system analysis is carried out by using IDEF0 language while the setting up plan for the information system proposed is carried out by using object oriented approach and using UML language.At the database setting up level by using Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) approach needs adjustment from object oriented approach to relational approach, then user interface model are designed later. The next step, program codes were made by giving attention to use case diagram and interaction diagram . From the setting up for information system were found out some inputs in the forms of forms for login, the data of patients, products, raw materials needed, raw materials, order, and technician data. The output were in the forms of early warning for order, order reports, the order slips, the letter of order and the acknowledge receipt of the order. From the validation result to the functions in the application was found out that the functions tested were valid or worked well.

Abstract

Production planning is a process to determine number of production in a particular period to fulfill consumers orders according to the available production capacity. Production planning by combining Integer Linear Programming (ILP) and simulation is done in iterative way. ILP has an objective function to minimize cost, which has a number of methods, such as reguler production capacity, overtime production capacity and inventory constrain, for each type of tyres for monthly during constraints in three month (January – March 2004). Simulation model representes stochastic events on the production floor, so that actual production capacity is obtained. On each iteration, number of production was compared with the available capacity from the result of simulation model. If the simulated number of production is more than or equal to the available capacity, the iteration need an adjustment capacity. And then, if the simulated number of production is less than the available capacity, the iteration is stopped, so that the number of production proper with the actual capacity is obtained.
