Abstract

This research was to obtain information of rice planting system technology based on altitude and type of varieties that correlated with high productivity. The experiment was conducted at dry season 2016 in three districts, Bandung, Subang, and Indramayu representing the high, mid and low altitudes. Experiment was arranged in split plot with 6 replications. The main plot was variety representing 2 type of variety, i.e (1) Inbred Inpari 32 and (2) Hybrid Hipa 18. The sub plot was planting system : (1) tegel (25x25 cm), (2) legowo 2:1 (25x12,5x50 cm), and (3) legowo 4:1 type 2 (25x12,5x50 cm). The result showed that growth and yield were very specific to pattern of planting system and type of variety. The interaction between location and planting system significantly to tiller number, leaf area, biomass, growth rate, and nett assimilation. In general, application of legowo planting system provided a higher yield than square planting system (tegel). In addition, increased production with application of legowo planting system suitable in upland for both Inpari 32 and Hipa 18. Otherwise, its application in midle and lowland not significant increased yield.

Abstract

Hikmah et al, 2017. Characterization of Agronomic Traits on Two Rainfed Rice Varieties on Several Levels of Nitrogen Fertilizers and Water Treatments. JLSO 6(2):176-184.Rainfed rice varieties are expected to increase yield on rainfed fields. This research aim was to identify various agronomic characters including yield of rainfed rice varieties. It was conducted at the Sukamandi Field Station at rainy season 2016/2017, using a split split plot design with 4 replications. Water management as the main plot with two levels (I1: irrigated and I2: rainfed). Nitrogen (N) fertilizer dosage as subplot with three levels (P1: 0 kg N/ha, P2: 60 kg N/ha, and P3: 120 kg N/ha) and varieties as subplots with two levels (V1: Inpari 39 Tadah Hujan Agritan and V2: Inpari 41 Tadah Hujan Agritan). The results showed that water treatment and N dosage on each variety gave different response on their agronomic characters, including yield. Tiller numbers per hill was strongly influenced by water management and dosage of N fertilizer. In irrigated treatment, tiller number increased linearly increasing N dosage. In rainfed,Inpari 41 Tadah Hujan Agritan reach maximum tiller number with 80 N kg/ha which more efficient than Inpari 39 Tadah Hujan Agritan with 91,97 N kg/ha. Rice yield was significant effected by N fertilizer and the genetic trait of each variety. The yield of Inpari 41 Tadah Hujan Agritan was higher than the Inpari 39 Tadah Hujan Agritan. Inpari 41 Tadah Hujan Agritan reached 5.70 t/ha GKG and Inpari 39 Tadah Hujan Agritan 4.62 t/ha.

Abstract

Berbagai varietas padi ketan telah dilepas oleh Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padi (BBPADI),salah satunya adalah B10299B-MFM16-2-4-1 -2 (Ciasem). Ketan Ciasem dilepas sebagai varietas dengan keunggulan potensi hasil cukup tinggi, tahan terhadap Wereng Batang Coklat (WBC) biotipe 2,agak tahan terhadap WBC biotipe 3, dan tahan penyakit Hawar Daun Bakteri (HDB) strain III dan IV,serta dengan umur yang lebih genjah (115-120 hari) dan mutu gabah yang lebih baik. Namun demikian, sampai saat ini di tingkat petani varietas ketan Ciasem masih kurang populer dibanding Ketan Lusi. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan karakter agronomis antara ketan Lusi dan Ciasem telah dilakukan penelitian dengan perlakuan berbagai level pupuk Nitrogen (N). Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan BBPADI Sukamandi pada musim tanam (MT) 12011 dengan menggunakan rancangan petak terpisah 3 ulangan. Dosis pemupukan Nsebagai petak utama dan varietas sebagai anak petak. Dosis perlakuan Nterdiri atas 4taraf yaitu N0 (Tanpa pemupukan), N1 (100 kg Urea/ha), N2 (250 kg Urea/ha), dan N3 (350 kg Urea/ha), sedangkan varietas sebagai anak petak terdiri atas2taraf yaitu Ketan Lusi (A) dan Ketan Ciasem (B). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Padi Ketan Ciasem selain berumur lebih genjah dan berpostur lebih pendek serta jumlah anakan produktif yang lebih banyak, persentase distribusi asimilat ke bagian malai lebih tinggi namun jumlah gabah isinya lebih rendah dibandingkan Lusi. Oleh karena itu tingkat hasil Lusi dan Ciasem setara. Dosis pupuk Nyang optimal untuk kedua varietas padi ketan ini adalah 250 kg Urea/ha.Some of sticky rice varieties have been released by the Indonesian Center for Rice Research (ICRR) at Sukamandi, West Java, one of them is B10299B-MR-116-2-4-1-2 (Ciasem). Ciasem was released asa variety with high yield potential, resistant to Brown Plant Hopper (BPH) biotype 2, moderately resistant to BPH biotype 3, and also resistant to Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB)strain III and IV. Moreover, Ciasem has shorter age (115-120 days) and better quality grain than that of Lusi. Nevertheless, up to now, Ciasem is less popular than Lusi. This paperpropose to show agronomic characters between Ciasem and Lusi with 4 levels of Nitrogen fertilizer dosages. This research was conducted at the ICRR field experiment in 2011. Using split plot design with 3 replications. Nitrogen fertilizer as the main plot with 4 levels (0, 100, 250, and 350kg urea/ha) and variety as subplot with 2 levels (Lusi and Ciasem). The result showed that Ciasem hasshorter posture, greater number ofproductive tillers, and also hashigger percentage distribution asimilate to thepaniclesbut less number of filled grain than Lusi. Because of that, the producticity of Lusi and Ciasem was equal. The optimal dosage of Nitrogen fertilizer for both of the varieties were 250kg urea/ha.
