Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to understand the concept of grade V elementary students through the TGT learning model. Quasi experimental research method and Nonequivalent Control Design Group design. Participants in this study were the fourth grade students of SD who were 40 students. Sampling in this study uses Nonprobality and saturated sampling techniques. Data analysis in the study used the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, and documentation. From the results of the understanding of mathematical concepts ability of elementary school students in Purwakarta experienced a significant increase after obtaining learning with the TGT model. This is evidenced by the results of the calculation of the N-gain test data obtained P-Value (Sig-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. The acquisition of the results of the average value of the experimental class Posttest is 60.25 and the results of the control class average Posttest score are 23.75. This means that an increased understanding of the experimental class mathematical concepts is higher than the control class. Thus it can be concluded that the TGT learning model is recommended as an alternative learning model in improving understanding of the mathematical concepts of elementary students in Purwakarta

Abstract

Scaffolding is a learning strategy that is used in learning by providing assistance to taste to students based on the difficulties experienced by students. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of scaffolding strategies against the ability of mathematical understanding of grade III SD in Purwakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental research methods and research designs The Nonequivalent Control Group Design with techniques of sampling Non Probability Sampling the sampling type is saturated. The object of this research is the whole grade 3 SD 2017/2018 school year with a total of 48 students (Male = 23, female = 25). Data collection techniques in the study using this type of test in the form of sheets of matter and types of the non test in the form of observation and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses the construction and validity testing of the validity of the content. The results showed there is the influence of the use of scaffolding strategies against the mathematical understanding of the capabilities of the students. This calculation results obtained from test-t with P-Value calculation results (Sig 2-tailed) for 0.000 which means less than 0.05 significant level. The earnings results of the pretest average score at 29.92 while IE experiment class results average value of experimental class posttest was 73.92. Then for obtaining the value of an average pretest classes control i.e. 30.96 while the average value of posttestnya was 55.17. The use of scaffolding strategies can be used by subsequent researchers to conduct research in the subject matter, having regard to the appropriations used and skills of teachers in the conditioning classes, to obtain maximum results.

Abstract

Integration of global education in schools is considered insignificant by teachers, whereas in the face of the era of globalization, education is very important given to elementary school students, so with this consideration this research is carried out. The method used in this study is a descriptive method of the International Green School Primary School in Sumedang which implements child-friendly school education. This study aims to find out how schools apply global education to subjects in the classroom. The technique of data collection is done through semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. This study was analyzed using a grounding approach. The findings of this study highlight the implementation of global education in child-friendly schools at the Green School Elementary School. Based on these findings, Elementary School teachers found learning patterns in the implementation of global education in Primary Schools. The results obtained are: 1) increasing student understanding of international and intercultural issues and, 2) increasing student understanding of strategies to participate locally, nationally, and internationally.

Abstract

The developments of school infrastructure that provides and involves computers in learning encourage teachers to adapt the use of these advanced technologies. The intended form of adaptation is through e-learning. Questionnaires were given to 43 elementary school teachers, who were able to operate computers, randomly selected to describe e-learning concept that they understood and applied. Although the majority of them mention e-learning specifically as learning involving computers in their implementation, and assuming they have implemented e-learning, they basically apply blended learning. Computers were used as a complementary medium, not the main. Through the results of the survey conducted, we discussed a gap between the perceptions of elementary school teachers believed with the actual concept of e-learning. Through the discussion, we also obtained a picture of how the actual application of e-learning by teachers is blended learning. Suggestions on the urgency of implementing e-learning in elementary school are also included.

Abstract

One of the basic abilities in learning mathematics is the ability of students to understand mathematics. Mathematical comprehension ability will develop other mathematical abilities, including communication, connection and problem-solving abilities. To be able to hone students 'mathematical abilities, a learning model is needed that is appropriate to the students' character and the material being taught. One learning model that can improve student learning outcomes is the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects in this study were fifth grade in Elementary School. The instruments used in this study were tests and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. Based on the analysis of research data, it is concluded that CTL can improve the ability of mathematical understanding of fraction concept for elementary students. Thus, the use of CTL learning models can be used as an alternative learning to be applied to learning mathematics in elementary school especially on learning concept of fractions.

Abstract

Umumnya, nasi merupakan jenis makanan yang dikonsumsi oleh sebagian masyarakat Indonesia. Nasi dimasak oleh masyarakat menggunakan alat pemasak nasi otomati atau disebut dengan rice cooker. Nasi dimasak tanpa dan dengan asam sitrat kemudian dihangatkan selama 48 jam dan dianalisis pada jam penghangatan ke-0, 24 dan 48 jam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh lama penyimpanan dan penambahan asam sitrat pada nasi di rice cooker terhadap kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak, kadar nitrogen total, karbohidrat total, serat kasar dan menentukan Bahan Ekstrak Tanpa Nitrogen (BETN) pada nasi tanpa dan dengan asam sitrat. Lama penyimpanan nasi (0, 24, dan 48 jam) di rice cooker  mempengaruhi kadar air, kadar lemak total, kadar nitrogen total, karbohidrat total, serat kasar dan kadar BETN tetapi tidak mempengaruhi kadar abu. Penambahan asam sitrat pada nasi di rice cooker  mempengaruhi kadar lemak total dengan penyimpanan selama 0 ke 24 mengalami penurunan, sedangkan pada penyimpanan 24 ke 48 jam mengalami kenaikan kadar lemak total.
