Abstract

A behavioral study of Great Argus Pheasants (Argusianus argus Linnaeus, 1766) at their mating ring has been done from October 2015 to January 2016 in The Kalaweit Supayang Conservasion Forest, Solok, West Sumatra. The purpose of this research is to know about activities of Great Argus Pheasant and how their activities done. Field observation in the mating ring was conducted using ten video camera traps for three months at their mating ring. Those cameras were activated for 60 seconds per session by 10 seconds intersession intervals. Behavioral data were tabulated from video records using continuous recording method. There were eight activities of Great Argus Pheasant at their mating ring which divided into individual and pairmate activities. The individual activities of male included clearing, walking, vigilance, feeding, grooming, resting, and calling. While  female activities included resting, grooming, and walking. Activity with pairmate was dancing where male performed dancing only in the present of  female. Male spent 26 times longer than females appeared at the mating ring. The peak activities at mating ring was in the morning between 7:00  and 8:00 am.

Abstract

Estimation of the plantain squirrel (Callosciurus notatus Boddaert, 1785) population was conducted from Februari to May 2016. This study aimed to estimate population density in the traditional coconut plantation, Nagari Koto Dalam, Padang Pariaman. The population density was estimated using line transect survey method. Population density of the squirrels in Nagari Koto Dalam was 5.5 ind/ha. This study shows that population density of the squirrel comparable to previous studies in West Sumatra.

Abstract

AbstrakPT. Pertamina Teluk Kabung berjalan pada kegiatan pendistribusian bensin dan solar daridistributor untuk SPBU-SPBU yang ada di daerah dan Kota Padang. Penyaluran BBM memiliki proseduryang ditetapkan oleh PT. Pertamina yaitu dengan cara mengorder terlebih dahulu, kemudian melakukanpengisian BBM dengan jumlah order yang telah ditetapkan, Orderan tersebut diserahkan pada bagiandispacth untuk di proses menjadi print out yang berfungsi sebagai syarat untuk pengisian BBM. Bagiandispacth mengeluarkan surat jalan setelah pengisian BBM selesai dilakukan. Permasalahan yang terjadipada sistem yang sedang berjalan saat ini terjadi kesulitan ketika mencari data yang dibutuhkan, stafdispacth membolak-balikkan sheet untuk menemukan data yang dicari. Sering terjadi kesalahan danredudansi data pada saat menulis, sehingga laporan tidak sesuai dengan data yang sebenarnya. Penulisan,pengkoreksian, dan pencarian data merupakan pekerjaan yang dilakukan oleh staf dispacth setiap hari.Masalah yang terjadi saat ini, mengakibatkan ketidakefektifan dalam mengerjakan laporan dan waktu yangdiperlukan tidak efesien. Maka pada sistem informasi penyaluran BBM pada PT. Pertamina Teluk Kabungmenyediakan aplikasi sistem informasi khusus pengolahan data penyaluran BBM untuk membantupengolahan data penyaluran BBM sehingga pekerjaan menjadi lebih efektif dan efesien. Dengan tidakmengurangi hal-hal yang penting pada sistem yang digunakan sebelumnya, sistem informasi penyaluranBBM pada PT. Pertamina Teluk Kabung memiliki entri data pemilik SPBU, pengemudi, truk, jenis produk,staf, pengolahan data order, pengolahan data transaksi pengisian BBM, pengolahan data surat jalan.Kemudian pada laporan terdapat daftar pelanggan SPBU isian BBM premium, daftar pelanggan SPBU isianBBM sola, daftar order pengisian BBM, laporan transaksi pengisian BBM per hari, laporan transaksipengisian BBM per bulan, dan surat jalan.Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi, Penyaluran BBM, PT. The distribution of fuel oil has procedures establishedby PT. Pertamina is by way of ordering first, then do the refueling of oil with the number of orders that havebeen set, Order is submitted to the dispacth to the process of being a print out that serves as a condition forrefueling oil. The dispacth section issued a road letter after refueling was completed. Problems that occur inthe current system is difficult to find when needed data, staff dispacth flick through the sheet to find the datasought. Often errors and redundancy of data at the time of writing, so the report does not match the actualdata. Writing, correction, and data retrieval are the work performed by dispatch staff on a daily basis.Problems that occur at this time, resulting in ineffectiveness in working on the report and the time required isnot efficient. So on the information system of the distribution of fuel oil at PT. Pertamina Teluk Kabungprovides special information system application of data processing of fuel oil distribution to assist dataprocessing of fuel distribution so that the work becomes more effective and efficient. By not reducing thethings that are important in the system used previously, the information system of the distribution of fuel oilat PT. Pertamina Teluk Kabung has data entry of owner of general fuel distribution system, driver, truck,product type, staff, order data processing, data processing of refueling transaction, data processing of roadlane. Then in the report there is a list of customers of fuel distribution system of general fuel premium fuelfield, customer list system of fuel dispensing common fuel diesel fuel, list of refueling orders, reports ofrefueling transactions per day, fuel oil per month, and travel mail.Keywords: Information System, Distribution of fuel oil, PT. Abstract

Abstract: PT. Barettamuda Pratama Padang runs on the distribution of road construction materials at PU Bina Marga. Applications used for data processing of construction materials is limited to Microsoft Office. Problems that occur on the system that is running, difficulty when looking for the required data, often occur repetition of data when writing data on lapora, error writing data so that the reported data does not match the actual data. With the ongoing system, resulting in ineffectiveness in working on reports and time to process data on the construction of road construction is inefficient. In the proposed system is a computerized system to help process the data construction of road construction so that the problems encountered so far can be resolved. The construction of the old system on the new system will apply the Waterfall method. Excess waterfall method, practical in their systems, Development of a structured and controlled make the quality of the software is maintained. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada sistem yang sedang berjalan, kesulitan ketika mencari data yang dibutuhkan, sering terjadi pengulangan data saat menuliskan data tersebut pada lapora, kesalahan penulisan data sehingga data yang dilaporkan tidak sesuai dengan data yang sebenarnya. Dengan sistem yang sedang berjalan,mengakibatkan ketidakefektifan dalam mengerjakan laporan dan waktu untuk mengolah data pelaksanaan konstruksi pembanguan jalan tidak efesien. Pada sistem yang diusulkan merupakan sistem yang sudah terkomputerisasi untuk membantu memproses data pelaksanaan konstruksi pembangunan jalan sehingga permasalahan yang dihdapi selama ini dapat teratasi. Pembangunan sistem lama pada sistem baru akan menerapkan metode Waterfall. Abstract

Human-elephant conflict is one of main issues in wildlife conservation. The trigger of human-elephant conflict is forest convertion in Tesso Nilo National Park. A study about characteristic of human elephant conflict has been conducted from March until April 2016 in some area of the park including Lubuk Kembang Bunga and Air Hitam villages, Riau Province, Indonesia. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of dispute area have been and land use in the park. A survey and interview have been conducted to 30 local inhibitans. Lubuk Kembang Bunga and Air hitam villageswere located near by the elephant forest habitat (0-10 km) with elevation 0f 200-100 m above the sea level. The area mostly flat and close to rivers. The elephant attack palm oil and rubber plantation. Historical change of land use at Tesso Nilo National Park from 2004 to 2016 has proved to damaged the elephant habitat, while the elephants come to the plantation where they had ranged in the past time.

Abstract

This study about Malayan tapir was conducted in Supayang Kalaweit Forest from December 2015 to May 2016 using camera-trapping technique. This study aimed to know activity pattern of Malayan tapirs in Supayang Kalaweit Forest. From 129 days active-camera, 18 images consist of  two photos and 16 videos were obtained. All of images also recorded capture time of captured Malayan tapirs. Malayan tapirs was recorded at 06.00-08.00 (morning), 18.00-20.00 (evening), and 20.00-06.00 (night). No images was recorded at 08.00-18.00 (day). Based time record, activity of Malayan tapirs were nocturnal and crepuscular.

Abstract

A study about the nest characteristics of baya weaver (Ploceus philippinus) around agricultural area in Gurun Aur, Subdistrict Banuhampu, Regency of Agam, West Sumatra, had been conducted from March to Mei 2016 using survey methods. This study aimed to describe the characteristics and materials used in building the nests. The results showed that baya weaver built their pendant-like nest mainly on coconut trees with average height 7.81 meters above ground. The nests hung on leaf stems with nest entrances faced down. Incomplete nests were also found, possibly resulting from mating failure. The form of the incomplete nests resembled dome, while the completed nests varied from oval to kidney-like. Nest sizes were also varied in term of nest length, weight and length of hooks. The baya weavers mostly used fibers from coarse grass (Graminae; Imperata cylindrica) to build their nest and used the fine stalks of the grass to line up the chamber.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai jenis-jenis mamalia yang mengunjungi kubangan babi hutan di hutan konservasi PT Tidar Kerinci Agung dan PT Kencana Sawit Indonesia, Solok Selatan, Sumatera Barat telah dilaksanakan dari 15 Juni sampai dengan 8 Desember 2015. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pemasangan tujuh buah perangkap kamera di sekitar kubangan babi hutan. Selama penelitian didapatkan 18 jenis hewan mamalia dari 12 famili dan 5 ordo. Hewan mamalia yang sering mengunjungi kubangan babi hutan yaitu Sus scrofa (481 foto), Macaca nemestrina (476 foto), Sus barbatus (269 foto), Macaca fascicularis (38 foto) dan Muntiacus muntjak (33 foto). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kubangan babi hutan menarik bermacam-macam jenis mamalia dengan frekuensi kunjungan yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

The animal has an ability to respond to environmental changes with an adaptive mechanism to optimize reproductive fitness. Using house mice Mus musculus (laboratory mice) as the subject, we examined the responsiveness to different photoperiod which hints at seasonal change. The animal can accurately predict the seasonal change by physiological anticipation then expressed in their behavior. Cannibalism is one of crucial maternal behavior that helps the population to control its size particularly to survive in significant environmental change. To confirm the significance of photoperiod-induced change in mice maternal cannibalism, which further changed sex ratio and mass regulation,  we placed the mice in different photoperiod: 12h:12h (light:dark; control), 14h:10h (long day), and 10h:14h (short day) as first factor and duration of treatment prior to mating (0 day, 20 days and 40 days) as second factor (n = 5 / group). The results showed that photoperiod has a significant effect (p < 0,05) to the sex ratio of each litter on PND1 (postnatal day 1)  and PND20, while litter size was affected only on PND20. Litter size and sex ratio changes were mainly caused by maternal-specific cannibalism as we observed during 20 days postpartum. PND20 gave significant effect to the pups mass  (p < 0,05). Maternal and pups mass might associate with maternal investment during lactation, and also related to litter size and sex ratio adjustment via specific maternal cannibalism.Key Words: photoperiodism, maternal cannibalism, sex ratio, Mus musculus

Abstract

AbstrakPeranan Teknologi telekomunikasi menjadi sangat penting, terutama dalam mengubah kehidupan masyarakat. Perkembangan teknologi dibidang komunikasi dan informasi kini dapat dinikmati oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat, Mulai dari lapisan atas, lapisan menengah ataupun lapisan bawah meskipun hasilnya belum memuaskan. Penelitian dengan judul “Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Penentuan Operator kartu seluler terbaik menggunakan metode ahp” bertujuan memberikan kemudahan bagi konsumen yang ingin membeli kartu seluler dari berbagai operator telekomunikasi sesuai sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta hemat dikantong(ekonomis). Banyaknya operator kartu seluler yang disediakan oleh pihak telekomunikasi mempersulit konsumen dalam menentukan pilihan yang tepat, sesuai dengan kriteria yang diinginkan. Penentuan kartu seluler dengan metode ahp merupakan metode yang tepat untuk mengatasi masalah penentuan kartu seluler terbaik dengan banyak kriteria yang ditawarkan dari masing-masing operator. Kriteria tersebut meliputi harga pembelian kartu seluler, tarif, promo dan masa aktif.Kata kunci: Operator kartu seluler, Sistem pendukung Keputusan, Analitycal Hierarchy Process.
