Abstract

Masih rendahnya kemampuan menemukan pokok-pokok berita sehingga dibutuhkan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik, salah satunya yaitu strategi student created studies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi student created studies terhadap kemampuan mene­mu­kan pokok-pokok berita siswa Kelas VIII SMPIT Boarding School Darussalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen murni. Dengan desain yang digunakan control group pretes dan postes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Kelas VIII SMPIT Boarding School yang berjumlah 61 orang siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, maka didapat kelas VIII. B terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.A terpilih sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pengaruh teknik peer editing sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan teknik diskusi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes berbentuk uraian. Pada kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata pretes adalah 56,29 dan postes 77,58 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata pretes adalah 59,67 dan postes 65,17. Berdasarkan uji t tes untuk postes pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 didapat thitung = 4,83 dan ttabel = 2,00. Karena thitung lebih besar ttabel, maka diperoleh simpulan bahwa teknik student created studies berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan mene­mu­kan pokok-pokok berita siswa Kelas VIII SMPIT Boarding School Darussalam. Kata kunci: pengaruh, strategi student created studies, pokok-pokok berita   Abstract Still low ability to find the main points of the news so it takes innovative and interesting learning strategies, one of which is the strategy of student created studies. This study was done to examine the effect of student created studies strategy on the ability to publish the principal items of eighth grade students of SMPIT Boarding School Darussalam. This research used true-experimental method. The population in this research was eighth grade students of SMPIT Boarding School which consisted of 61 students. Sampling was taken by using simple random sampling technique, then obtained class VIII. B was selected as the experimental class and class VIII.A was selected as the control class. The experimental class uses the influence of peer editing technique while the control class uses conventional learning with discussion technique. Technique of collecting data was technique of form of description. In the experimental class the average pretest score was 56.29 and postes 77.58 whereas in the control class the mean pretest score was 59.67 and postes 65.17. Based on the t test  for postes at significant level α = 0.05 obtained thitung4,83 and ttable = 2,00. Because tobtain greater than ttabel, it was concluded that student created studies technique has an effect on the ability of find the headlines of eighth grade students of SMPIT Boarding School Darussalam.  Keywords: influence, student created studies strategy, headline

Abstract

This study aims to 1 find out the process of designing the development of teaching materials on writing free poetry of class 13 students of SMP Xaverius Tugumulyo, 2 to describe the teaching material of free class 13 class 13Tugumulyo SMP poetry, valid and effective. The method used Research and Development research and used model Dick and Carey. Interview data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. The questionnaire value is used to determine the quantitative data. The design feasibility conclusion is included in the good kategoti, with the percentage of 80 percent. Results from validation of content or material feasibility are included in either category, with percentage of 80 percent. Last validation of language with good category, with percentage 74,28 percent. The validation results of the overall team of experts are categorized well, with the percentage of 78.33 percent. Practicality of teaching materials can be seen seen from the calculation of the validity of the instrument with the results of 0.98, with the category of validity is very high. The effectiveness of instructional materials and significant relationships can be seen from the calculations using SPSS 20, with a result of 0.0001. The conclusion of the research and development of teaching materials writing free poems that researchers have developed has been an alternative use in the process of teaching and learning.
