Abstract

Abstract: Improvement of public transportation in serving society became requirement and inevitability, because it will be impact on the competition between of public transportation intercity. Banda Aceh as the capital connected with other cities in the process of commodity distribution and handles the passengers, one of the cities is Lhokseumawe which located between Banda Aceh and Medan. The purpose of this paper is to analyze modes selection model between private cars and public transport. In this study there are three modes to be review between private cars, minibus with AC and minibus without AC. Data collection done by survey and distributing questionnaires which have been designed on stated preference methods, each mode of transportation to be as base outcome. Model based discrete choice and analyzed by multinomial logit model approach with using software STATA 10. The results showed that value of the utilities on each modes are (0) private cars base outcome: minibus with AC utility = 0,66, and minibus without AC utility = -7,76, (1) minibus with AC base outcome: private cars utility = 1,72, and minibus without AC utility = -7,76, (2) minibus without AC base outcome: private cars utility = 10,23, and minibus with AC utility = 9,23. Probability of transportation elected which be used based on the utilities of each modes are:  P (private car) = 34,11%, P (minibus with AC) = 15,22%, and P (minibus without AC) = 50,68%. Abstrak: Peningkatan moda transportasi umum dalam melayani pergerakan masyarakat menjadi suatu keharusan dan tak terhindarkan, sehingga akan berdampak pada terjadinya kompetisi antar moda angkutan umum penumpang antar kota. Dalam proses distribusi barang dan penumpang Kota Banda Aceh terhubung dengan kota-kota lain, salah satunya adalah Kota Lhokseumawe yang berada diantara Banda Aceh dan Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis besaran kebutuhan setiap moda melalui pembangunan model pemilihan moda antara kendaraan pribadi dan angkutan umum. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat tiga moda yang dikaji, yaitu moda mobil pribadi, minibus AC dan minibus non AC. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah survei dan kuesioner. Kuesioner didesain dengan metode stated preference. Pembangunan model dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak STATA 10 dan masing-masing moda angkutan dijadikan sebagai base outcome (pembanding). Model berbasis model pemilihan diskret dianalisis dengan pendekatan multinomial logit model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai utilitas pada masing-masing moda yaitu untuk base outcome mobil pribadi dengan nilai utilitas minibus AC = 0,66, dan nilai utilitas minibus non AC = -7,76, untuk base outcome minibus AC dengan nilai utilitas mobil pribadi = 1,72, dan nilai utilitas minibus non AC = -7,76, serta untuk base outcome minibus non AC dengan nilai utilitas mobil pribadi = 10,23, dan nilai utilitas minibus AC = 9,23. Diperoleh probabilitas terpilihnya moda transportasi yang akan digunakan berdasarkan utilitas masing-masing moda yaitu sebagai berikut: P(mobil pribadi) = 34,11%, P(minibus AC) = 15,22%, dan P(minibus non AC) = 50,68%.
