Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus terdiri atas empat langkah, yaitu : 1) perencanaaan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Data hasil aktivitas dan keterampilam berpikir kritis siswa digunakan lembar observasi sedangkan data hasil belajar siswa digunakan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk soal esai. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa siklus I skor rata-rata aktivitas siswa 21,5 dengan kriteria cukup, siklus II 26 dengan kriteria baik dan siklus III 29,5 dengan kriteria baik.  Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata persentase observasi keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yaitu  50,54 % dengan kriteria cukup,  siklus II 73,99 % dengan kriteria kritis , dan pada siklus III menjadi 85,99% dengan kriteria kritis sedangkan hasil belajar yang diperoleh pada siklus I nilai rata-ratanya 75,3, pada siklus II menjadi 81,4, dan pada siklus III nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 84. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar fisika siswa.Kata kunci : discovery learning, aktivitas belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, hasil belajar

Abstract

This study aims to explore pre-service physics teachers’ problem-solving skills through the implementation of problem solving virtual laboratory (PSVL) model on the concept of simple pendulum. This research has been conducted at a university in Bengkulu in academic year 2016/2017. This research is a quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Subjects were 70 students divided into experimental and control groups. Students of the experimental group follow lab activity using PSVL model, while the control group used the expository virtual lab (EVL) model. Students’ problem-solving skills are explored using problem-solving skills tests. Based on the data analysis, it is found that the improvement of students’ problem solving skills of experimental group and control group differ significantly. Improved students’ problem solving skills in experiment group was higher than control group. It can be concluded that the implementation of the PSVL model can improve students’ problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving fisika terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas XMIPAdi MAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment designs) dan penelitian desain pre eksperimen (one group pretest-postest design). Pengambilan sampel berdasarkan teknik sampling purposive yang diperoleh siswa  kelas X MIPA 2 ( N = 37) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa  kelas X MIPA 3 (N = 38) sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk hasil belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan  hasil  analisis  Uji-T dua sampel independen melalui nilai rata-rata posttest hasil belajar yaitu thitung  >  ttabel (2,47 > 1,99), sedangkan hasil analisis deskriptif kemampuan pemecahan masalah melalui nilai rata-rata (posttest KPM – pretest KPM) menghasilkan 63,5. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan model problem solving fisika terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalahKata kunci:  Model Problem Solving Fisika, Hasil Belajar, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui perbedaan pembelajaran Cooperative Problem Solving dengan Pembelajaran Konvensional terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa dan menjelaskan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh pembelajaran Cooperative Problem Solving  terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah experiment research dengan desain posttest-only control design untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa dan desain penelitian one group pretest postest design untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan purposive sampling yang diperoleh kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X 1PA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis data menggunakan Uji-t dua sampel independen menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penggunaan Pembelajaaran Cooperative Problem Solving dan Pembelajaran Konvensional terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan thitung = 0.9138<ttabel =1.9983. Sedangkan penggunaan pembelajaran Cooperative Problem Solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMAN 1 Kepahiang berpengaruh kuat dengan perhitungan effect size yaitu 5.779.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Cooperative Problem Solving, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Pembelajaran Konvensional, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

This research was classroom action research in term of Work and Energy concept which has been done in four cycles where the purpose was to know the enhancement of students’ learning activities, learning outcomes, and learning motivation. The subjects of this research were all 36 first grade students of science 3 class in senior high school number 01 Mukomuko. The result of this research has shown that the total average of students’ activities in cycle I was 38 with predicate active, in cycle II was 40with predicate active, 41 in cycle III with predicate active, and in cycle IV was 42 with predicate active. Students’outcomes on cognitive aspect in cycle I has shown that the students’ absorbption level was 83,64% and students’ passing criteria was 58,33% (unpassed), has increased in cycle II into 88,11% and learning passing criteria was 80.55% (unpassed), then the level of absorbption increased in cycle III about 92.90% and learning passing criteria was 91.66% (passed) and significantly increased comparing to cycle I, II, and III where in cycle IV the level of absorbption was 97.68% and learning passing criteria was 100%. Learning outcomes in psychomotor aspect in cycle I was 88.34, 91, 58 in cycle II,93,19 in cycle III, and 96,39 in cycle IV. Students’ motivation was 61,06 in cycle I, 60,21 in cycle II, 64,50 in cycle III, and 65,60 in cycle IV. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the application of problem-based learning model can improve learning activities, learning outcomes in Physics and  students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

The aims of research are (1) to find the effect of learning with discovery learning model through a scientific approach to students’ learning outcomes, (2) to find the effect of learning to students’ learning interest, and (3) to describe the improvement of students learning outcomes.This type of research is quasi experiment. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique to determine class XI IPA 2 as experimental class and class XI IPA 1 as control class. The data were analysed by using t-test with two independent samples. The results show that there is significant influence of the use of Discovery Learning model through scientific approach to learning outcomes (tcount 2.64> ttable 1.68) and student learning interest (tcount 3.95 > ttable 1.68). The improvement of students learning outcome in experimental class is higher than the improvement of the control class learning result (0.68 > 0.64). It is concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of Discovery Learning model through scientific approach to student learning outcomes and to students’ learning interest. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Learning Interests, Discovery Learning Model, Scientific Approach.

Abstract

The purposes of this classroom action research were to enhance students’ learning activity, learning outcomes and students scientific attitude on the concept of static fluid. Subjec was 35  students in X grade. The results of the study indicated that students learning activities on the first cycle with an average score of 41 (the active category), the second cycle with an average score of 45 (active category), the third cycle with an average score of 48 with an average score of 48 (the active category) and  the fourt cycle of with an average score of 48 (the active category). The result of cognitive domain was 71,4%students in reaching mastery learning (cycle I), increased to 82,9% mastery learning (cycle II), increased to 85,7% (cycle III), obtained learning mastery equal to 85,7%, and increased to 91,4% (the cycle IV). The results of psychomotoric reached 80,7  (cycle I), became to 83,0 (cyle II), increased to 83,7 (Cycle III) and increased to 85,5 (cycle IV). There were 21 students reached the good category of scientific attitude in the first cycle, 27 students in the second cycle, 32 students in the third cycle 33 students in the fourth cycle. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that the implementation of problem based learning with scientific approach can increase the learning activities, the learning result and scientific attitude on the concept of statics fluid.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the activity, student learning outcomes and problem-solving skills on the concept of light performed in four cycles. Subjects in this study were all students of class VIII.E which amounted to 21 people. The instruments used are observation sheets for teacher and student activities, affective learning, psychomotor and cognitive test sheets and problem solving skills. The result of the research shows that student learning activity in cycle I with average score of 31,5 categories is enough, cycle II is 34 good category, cycle III is 38 good category and IV cycle is 40 good category. The result of cognitive learning obtained by average of cycle I is 53,3 less category, cycle II equal to 65,71 category enough, cycle III equal to 80 category good and cycle IV equal to 90,48 good category. Psychomotor learning results obtained in the first cycle of 8.64 categories enough, cycle II for 10 categories both, cycle III of 10.48 good category and IV cycle equal 11.04 good category, and affective learning results obtained cycle I of 12.19 Category enough, cycle II 13,74 category enough, cycle III equal to 14,83 good category, cycle IV equal to 16,17 in good category. As well as the results of problem-solving abilities. In cycle I the problem solving ability of students with percentage of 56% less category, increase in cycle II problem solving ability of student with percentage of 72% category enough, then increase in cycle III with percentage of 76% good and in cycle IV increase again with percentage 79% good. Based on the results of research can be concluded that the application of problem-based learning model can boost the activity and student learning outcomes and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini telah dirancang dan dibangun sistem telemetri pengukuran ketinggian gelombang pasang surut air laut secara realtime menggunakan arduino uno. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Prosedur pengembangan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini meliputi planning (perencanaan), production (produksi) dan evaluation (evaluasi). Sistem telemetri ini bekerja melalui arduino uno yang mengambil data pengukuran melalui potensiometer dan memerintahkan modul nRF24L01+ untuk mengirimkan data pengukuran ke sistem penerima di darat. Data hasil pengukuran ini diterima oleh sistem penerima di darat untuk ditampilkan di PC/laptop. Hasil pengujian sistem telemetri ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem telemetri dapat bekerja dengan baik berdasarkan fungsinya dalam melaukan pengukuran, pengiriman dan penerimaan data hasil pengukuran ketinggian gelombang pasang surut. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan metode lain dalam memudahkan melakukan pengukuran ketinggian gelombang pasang surut air laut tanpa harus datang ke tempat pengukuran.Kata Kunci: Arduino Uno, gelombang pasang surut, modul nRF24L01+ dan realtime

Abstract

 Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep gelombang cahaya dengan penerapan model Inkuiri berbantuan simulasi PhET. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA E SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar tes untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep gelombang cahaya. Hasil analisis data observasi aktivitas guru siklus I diperoleh skor rata-rata 16,5 (kriteria cukup), pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 19,5 (kriteria baik), pada siklus III aktivitas guru kembali meningkat hingga skor rata-rata m encapai skor maksimal yaitu 21 (kriteria baik). Hasil analisis data observasi aktivitas siswa siklus I diperoleh skor rata-rata 17,5 (kriteria baik), pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 20 (kriteria baik), pada siklus III aktivitas siswa kembali meningkat hingga skor rata-rata mencapai skor maksimal yaitu 21 (kriteria baik). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata keterampilan proses sains pada siklus I sebesar 64,24 (kriteria cukup), pada siklus II sebesar 79,63 (kriteria baik), dan pada siklus III sebesar 92,96 (kriteria sangat baik). Penguasaan konsep gelombang cahaya pada siklus I sebesar 77,27 (kriteria baik), pada siklus II sebesar 87,04 (kriteria baik), dan pada siklus III 90,74 (kriteria sangat baik). Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan penerapan model Inkuiri berbantuan simulasi PhET dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep gelombang cahaya. Kata kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Keterampilan Proses Sains, Penguasaan Konsep gelombang cahaya, Model Inkiuiri, simulasi PhET
