Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Kinerja kepolisian dalam memberikan pelayanan penerbitan surat izin mengemudi (SIM), (2) Kepuasan masyarakat dalam menerima pelayanan penerbitan SIM di Satlantas Polres Soppeng. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dengan sumber data primer adalah kepolisian di kantor Satlantas Polres Soppeng dan 6 orang masyarakat yang sedang mengurus penerbitan surat izin mengemudi di Kantor Satlantas Polres Soppeng. Data yang telah diperoleh dari hasil penelitian diolah dengan menggunakan teknik analisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran bahwa secara keseluruhan (1) Kinerja Kepolisian dalam pelayanan penerbitan Surat Izin Mengemudi (SIM) di kantor Satlantas Polres Soppeng sudah berjalan cukup baik, namun masih terkendala berbagai persoalan seperti kapasitas ruang tunggu dan ruang foto SIM yang masih minim dibanding jumlah pemohon SIM yang mencapai ratusan orang setiap harinya. (2) Kepuasan masyarakat dalam menerima pelayanan Surat Izin mengemudi sudah cukup puas namun lamanya antrian membuat masyarakat lama menunggu. Dan kesadaran semua pihak harus lebih ditingkatkan mengingat bahwa kualitas pelayanan sangat bergantung pada layanan yang diberikan. Kata Kunci: Kinerja Kepolisian, Kualitas Layanan, Kepuasan.  ABSTRACT: This study aims to find out: (1) The performance of the police in providing services for the issuance of driving licenses (SIM), (2) Satisfaction of the community in receiving services for issuing SIMs at the Soppeng Police Station. To achieve this goal the researcher uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. With the primary data source is the police in the Soppeng Regional Police Satlantas office and 6 people who are in the process of issuing a driving license at the Soppeng Police Station Satlantas Office. Data that has been obtained from the research results is processed using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. From the results of the study, it was obtained an illustration that overall (1) the performance of the police in the service of issuing a driving license (SIM) at the Soppeng police stations Satlantas office was running well, but was still constrained by various problems such as the waiting room capacity and the photo SIM room which was still minimal compared to the number SIM applicants who reach hundreds of people every day. (2) The satisfaction of the community in receiving the service of driving licenses is quite satisfied, but the length of the queue makes the community long to wait. And the awareness of all parties must be further enhanced considering that the quality of service depends heavily on the services provided. Keywords: Police Performance, Service Quality, Satisfaction.
