Abstract

Makassar city is one of the cities in Indonesia that can not be separated from the problem of street children. Street children are a very vulnerable social group from various acts of violence, whether physical, emotional, sexual or social violence. Therefore, through the program of dedication to the community intend to participate actively in solving the problems of street children through the program "SARJANA (Sarana Belajar Anak Jalanan): Empowerment of Independent Street Children, Creative, and Innovative Through Entrepreneurship Education". The expected expenditure of this program is to enable street children to become independent, creative and innovative in that it no longer becomes a begging demanding society through entrepreneurship education and the provision of appropriate skills in a relatively short period of time. Methods of implementation are: (1) providing entrepreneurial materials, (2) Production and Financial Management materials, (3) Marketing Management Materials, (4) motivational materials, (5) monitoring and evaluation. The result of this devotion is that the built children already have the creative ability to produce various products that can be the future to be self-supporting.

Analysis of Science Literacy Learning with Scientific Inquiry Approach in Increasing Science Competence of Students

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning, to analyze the effectiveness of learning, students' competency science profile, and teacher and student responses toward science literacy learning with scientific inquiry approach. The research method used is Mix Method with concurrent embedded model of quantitative method become primary with research subjects are science teachers and students of class VII SMPN 1 Lilirilau and MTs DDI Pattojo Soppeng Regency, South Celebes Province. The results shows that (1) the implementation of learning is very good with 86% the average percentage of implementation. (2) The effectiveness of learning is shown on student's learning completeness classically that is 90% of students reach KKM value. These results have reached the established criteria of 75%. The average increase in students' science competence is 0.69 in the medium category. The students' competency profile based on PISA criteria appears dominant in the explanation of scientific phenomena, whereas based on the criteria of science literacy dominant in science as the body of knowledge. (4) The teacher's response toward scientific literacy learning was positive with an average score of 3.83, and (5) students' responses toward scientific literacy learning are quite positive with an average score of 3.22 out of a maximum score of 4.00.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penigkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas V. Penelitianini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu sebuah kegiatan penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas sebagai upayauntuk mengkaji, merefleksi secara kritis suatu rencana pembelajaran terhadap kinerja (Performance) guru,interaksi guru dengan siswa, serta interaksi siswa dengan kelas. Secara garis besar terdapat empat tahapan,yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2)pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan (observasi), dan (4) refleksi. Peningkatanketerlaksaan proses pembelajaran di kelas dari siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 1.43 dengan kategoriterlaksana seluruhnya, dan pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 1.58 dengan kategori terlaksna seluruhnya. This study aims to analyze the improvement of science skills in class students.This research is classroom action research, namely a research activity carried out in the classroom as an effort to assess,critically reflect on a learning plan on teacher performance (Performance), teacher interaction with students, andstudent interaction with the class. Broadly speaking there are four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3)observation (observation), and (4) reflection. Increasing the learning process in the classroom from the first cycle withan average value of 1.43 with the category fully implemented, and in the second cycle with an average value of 1.58with the category fully implemented.
