Management of cassava in the village Baroanging, District Bangkala Jeneponto district by farmers are not optimal and do not fully apply the recommended technology innovation so that although productivity is not too low, but still need improvement management, especially the system of cultivation. Cassava plant in the village only be used as plant-stream, but it can help the economy of the community. Because in addition to getting the results of rice crops also get additional income from planting cassava. However, income from farming of cassava is still very low because they only sell in the form of logs, they have yet to diversify the preparations of such products. Though cassava processing easy to do and relatively higher than the price of cassava spindles. One of the diversification of cassava processing is the manufacture of flour Making Flour mokaf mokaf this could be a new business opportunity for cassava farmers. So as to increase the income of cassava farmers. Objectives and targets outcomes to be achieved from the science and technology activities for the public are: 1) the target output short term that will be produced are: (a) Partner skilled in cassava cultivation organic technology use proper cultivation, (b) Partner know the benefits cassava is widely especially benefits flour mokaf, (c) Options were able to produce flour mocaf itself, 2) Target outcomes long term that will be produced are: (a) changing the mindset of farmers, from just farming cassava into the mindset of making these plants be a promising business opportunities, (b) the District Bangkala will be mokaf flour production center, (c) Formed new entrepreneurs that produce flour mokaf. Approach methods are offered to support the realization of the program consists of three methods, namely; (1). Participatory extension, (2) Training (demonstrations and practice activities by participants), (3) Mentoring, coaching the participants by the implementation team, and (4) Mentoring.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai dosis pupuk kandang (kotoran ayam) yang memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman kakao (Theobroma cacao L.)..Penelitian dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan empat perlakuan takaran kotoran ayam yang terdiri atas tanpa kotoran ayam (b0), kotoran ayam 100 gram/polibag (b1), kotoran ayam 150 gram/polybag (b2), dan  kotoran ayam 200 gram/polybag (b3). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa dengan takaran 150 gram penambahan kotoran ayam dalam media memberi pengaruh yang lebih baik terhadap jumlah dan tinggi tunas, serta jumlah daun bibit kakao hasil sambung pucuk.

Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Jurusan Budidaya Tanaman Perkebunan Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Pangkep, mulai  bulan Agustus hingga November 2015. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk NPK 16.16.16  terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu tanpa perlakuan pupuk NPK (p0); Pupuk NPK 10 gram/tanaman (p1); Pupuk NPK 15 gram/tanaman (p2) dan pupuk NPK 20 gram/tanaman. Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 2 unit dan diulang sebanyak 3 kelompok, sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Data hasil percobaan diperoleh dari mengukur selisih antara data akhir pengamatan (umur 11 bulan) dengan data awal pengamatan (umur 8 bulan). Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah pelepah, diameter batang dan panjang pelepah. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan  bahwa perlakuan pupuk NPK 16.16.16 dengan dosis 20 gram/tanaman memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap pertambahan jumlah pelepah yakni 4,00 buah, dan memberikan pengaruh yang terbesar terhadap tinggi tanaman (26,37 cm), diameter batang (1,39 cm ) dan panjang pelepah (36,5 cm).

Decrease in land productivity is due to land fertility degradation caused by the excessive use of chemical fertilizer. Besides that, scarcity of necessary fertilizer at the farmer’s level causes farmers to have difficulties in finding fertilizer, and the price of chemical fertilizer tends to continuously increase along with the decrease of subsidized fertilizer from the government. The solution offered by PPUPIK is to provide complete organic fertilizer product that can help to increase plants growth and to improve the health and quality of production yields. The activity aims to instil the entrepreneurship spirit around campus as the manifestation of technology application, to provide people with quality solid and liquid organic fertilizers, and to increase innovations of organic waste utilization technology. The activities take place for eight months in the area of Plantation Agriculture Department of Pangkep State Agriculture Polytechnic Campus. The method used is the application of business management principles including production management, marketing, finance and development, besides the method of market research and comparative study method. The results of the activity show an increase in the entrepreneurship spirit among lecturers and students, an increase in the student’s interest of entrepreneurship from a number of zero to three students through an apprenticeship at PPUPIK location. Innovations increase, so the availability of quality organic fertilizer becomes possible. There is an increase in business income totalling Rp 32,000,000 at the end of June 2018, with a total of solid organic fertilizer production of 25 tons and liquid organic fertilizer 500 liters.
