Abstract

In the activity of the modern economy, the availability of money as a means of transaction is very important, because with the money as a means to pay consumers can easily to get the basic material needs are required, the manufacturer can provide the raw materials of labor for production, and distributors can obtain a variety of merchandise to be delivered at the end consumer. The pattern of use of money is influenced by the attitude of the public in the transaction. Researchers assume, that there are differences among communities, either by group differences in income, educational differences, ethnic differences, differences in profession, and perhaps even religious differences embraced. So as to provide information to the monetary authorities, to enrich the theory of demand for money based economic agents in Indonesia, and for the application of the theory of demand for money, the researchers felt the need to study patterns of use of money. Qualitative research, in addition to knowing whether the variables that affect the demand for money as the above theory is still relevant for economic actors in Indonesia at this time, or even are new variables, as well as the motive of money demand. Keywords: Demand for money, Keynes Theory, qualitative method

This study uses secondary data and primary data. The method used is a quantitative approach by applying a linear regression model. The findings from the results of the study indicate that variations in income variables, house prices and interest rates explain the variable demand for mortgages by 57.6%. In addition, another finding from this study is that the income variable has an insignificant influence on the demand for mortgages, while the variable house prices and interest rates have a positive and significant influence on the demand for mortgage loans in Palembang city.

Method of data intake uses method of survey with technique of descriptive and quantitative method analysis. Research Result shows characteristic woodcraft industry is seen from education level a large part of SLTP (38,67 percents), SLTA (56,35 percents). Fee is paid every day, every week, and contract and per production. Earnings gyrates Rp.400 thousand Rp600 thousand (38,67 percents). Source Modal 92 percents capital by it self and only 8 percents use debit capital. Job of Number of hours the average of 8 hour every day, meanwhile workday amount 7 day a weeks. Performance of woodcarving crafting industry that seen from productivity, value added, and efficiency shows good enough performance. Such as those which has been discussed at previous part total productivity crafting industry carves as high as 2,52. However if seen from labor productivity only as high as Rp.2.458.523.4 and capital productivity as high as Rp.0,33. Meanwhile seen from value added that can be created by [crafting/ diligence] industry as high as 390, 91 million every year. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the inflation calculation is based on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of South Sumatra 2001-2011. The data used in this study is secondary data, that is data of GDP at current prices, constant prices GDP and Inflation in South Sumatra. In this study used two data analysis tools, namely the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis explains the good development of the South Sumatra GDP based on current prices and constant prices and inflation that occurred during the period 2001 - 2011 in the form of tables and linked to relevant theory. Quantitative analyzes using mathematical approaches, such as using the formula GDP growth and inflation projections and formulas of these variables. Results showed during the period of 2007 to 2011 GDP at current prices and constant prices has increased (positive growth), despite constant price GDP growth is not as sharp as partumbuhan GDP at current prices. Average growth of GDP at current prices was 13.62% while the constant price GDP consume is 5.33% per year ah. Keywords: Inflation, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP)
