Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the improvement of students academic engagement through the implementation of problem based-learning model in the madrasah. This study used single subject design with multiple baseline across subjects. The subjects served as intervention targets as well as the control participant. There are four students as participants. They were chosen based on both the result of subject identification through instruments of Academic Engagement Scale for Grade School Students (AES-GS) and the result of observation to students with the lowest grades. The results of the graph analysis showed the decreased behavior in baseline phase but increased in the intervention phase.Key Words: academic engagement, problem based learning, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan academic engagement siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen subjek tunggal dengan desain multiple baseline across subject. Subjek penelitian yang diintervensi sekaligus sebagai control participant. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak empat siswa. Subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan hasil identifikasi subjek melalui instrumen academic engagement scale for grade school students (AES-GS) dengan perolehan hasil nilai paling rendah dan hasil observasi terhadap siswa yang menunjukkan nilai stabil rendah. Hasil analisis grafik pada kondisi baseline menunjukkan perilaku academic engagement stabil rendah, namun pada kondisi intervensi perilaku academic engagement meningkat.  Kata kunci: academic engagement,  problem based learning, Madrasah Tsanawiyah

Abstract

Abstract: Emphatic engagement in the classroom is feeling of students who perceive connected with their friends in learning activities in the classroom. Emphatic engagement is very important to emerge respect to the others, to be awarded of the diversity in life and to realize and concern to human beings. Empathic engagement can be taught from an early age in primary school students. With the right methods, students in elementary school can have a sense of empathy for the involvement of their friends that it will be very useful to give the best practice to adulthood process. The study aimed to explain how an empathic engagement was taught in primary school students. Emphatic engagement is through teamwork interaction in the classroom. Subjects of the research were students aged 9 years in primary school in Lamongan. The results showed that the teamwork interaction in classroom used by teachers in learning could deliver an empathic engagement. Students with an empathic engagement have awareness to always care for their fellow students and seek to participate in every learning activity in the classroom.Key words: empathic engagement, interaction, teamwork Abstrak: Keterlibatan empatik di kelas adalah perasaan siswa yang merasa terhubung dengan teman mereka dalam kegiatan belajar di kelas. Keterlibatan empatik sangat penting untuk memunculkan sikap menghargai terhadap orang lain, untuk dianugerahi keragaman dalam kehidupan dan untuk menyadari serta memperhatikan manusia. Keterlibatan secara empatik dapat diajarkan sejak usia dini pada siswa sekolah dasar. Dengan metode yang tepat, siswa di sekolah dasar dapat memiliki rasa empati atas keterlibatan teman-teman mereka sehingga akan sangat berguna untuk memberikan praktik terbaik untuk proses pendewasaan diri mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana keterlibatan empatik diajarkan pada siswa sekolah dasar. Keterlibatan empatik adalah melalui interaksi kerja tim di kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa berusia 9 tahun di sekolah dasar di Lamongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi timbal balik di kelas yang digunakan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran dapat memberikan keterlibatan empatik. Siswa dengan keterlibatan empatik memiliki kesadaran untuk selalu peduli terhadap sesama siswa dan berusaha untuk berpartisipasi dalam setiap aktivitas belajar di kelas.Kata kunci: keterlibatan empatik, interaksi, kerja tim

Abstract

This assistance was carried out in the village of Tenggulun Solokuro Lamongan which was the originof the Bali bombing bombers I. Although the movement was not visible, the remnants of the jihadist ideologycertainly could not just disappear from Tenggulun village. This assistance aims to strengthen literacy regardingmoderate Islam in dropout youth from Tenggulun village so that they are fully aware of the importance of peacefulreligious knowledge and also an affirmation of the teachings of moderation of Islam as a religion which israhmatan lil ‘alamin. From the mentoring process, the results show that moderate Islamic thinking is very usefulfor teens who want to learn peaceful Islam, while according to adolescents dropping out to study moderate Islam istantamount to studying Islam that is rahmatan lil ‘alamin

Abstract

Learning is a fundamental process of behavior change as a result of experience in an organization/institution (George & Jones, 2008). Learning is not only important for new members, but also long-time members at all levels of the organization because old members are often assigned tasks they have never worked before. Learning is a change in behavior and knowledge that is relatively long from the results of practice and experience.

Abstract

Gender issues and women's empowerment are an important issues in education, especially in the madrasa. A number of female teachers that don’t balance with women principals proved the persistence of discrimination against women in education. This article aims to identify problems experienced by women's leadership. There are three problems experienced by women in becoming the principal of the madrasah, a psychological problem, structural probblem, and socio-cultural problem. Among those three problems, socio-cultural issues are most pressing problem to be solved. With socio-cultural problem solving it can be expected to provide awareness not only for society but also for women can minimize resistance has emerged in public consciousness, and can rise fair competition in achieving a career.

Abstract

Developing a science based on indigenous knowledge not only in the religious sciences, but also in other scientific fields, including psychology. The emergence of raos psychology can be interpreted to be a milestone in the development of psychology of nusantara.Tulisan aims to peel the psychology of raos derived from the thought of Ki Ageng Suryomentaram as part of indigeneus psychology characterized by raising indigenous knowledge to a more universal aspect. In addition, this paper takes the perspective of raos psychology to dissect the happiness of human life.Why happiness? One of the goals of life of a human being is to seek happiness. In a positive positive psychology it is attributed directly to the attainment of matter. But in the perspective of the psychology of happy raos can occur when humans successfully manage karep (desire) so that human happiness can be more lasting.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to know (1) the values ​​of Islamic education contained in the verse as-saffat verse 102, and (2) the implementation of Islamic educational values ​​contained in the verse as-saffat verse 102 in class learning. This research type is library research with descriptive qualitative approach. The method in this study is explorative, namely to find the meaning of the value of education contained in surah as-saffat verse 102 from various books of interpretation which is the interpretation of mufassir in understanding the meaning, contents and content contained in the verse. Includes the book of tafsir: the book of tafsir al-Misbah by M.Quraish Shihab, the Ibn Katsir interpretation of the book by Sheikh Ismail bin Katsir, and the book of tafsir al-Maraghi by Ahmad Musthofa al-Maraghi. The results of the study show that the values ​​of Islamic education contained in surah as-saffat verse 102 are (1) the education of ketauhidan (akidah), (2) education of democratic consultation (syari'ah), and (3) moral education. And it shows that the concept of learning in the verse as-saffat verse 102 through the story of Abraham and Prophet Ismail consists of: (1) Educational objectives: humanization, humanity, noble character, (2) Material: akidah, syari'ah and akhlak, ( 3) Educators: wise, loving, democratic, acquainted with the students and understanding their psychology, understanding material, patience and sincerity, (4) Adolescents: obedient, patient, desirous or ideals, teachers, (5) Methods: dialogue-democratic, have been implemented in classroom learning.

Abstract

Violence and radicalism in the name of religion which leads to terrorism has emerged as a complicated issue in contemporary Indonesian Islam. The emergence and development of radicalism were actually caused by a lack of understanding of the Qur’an. The verse of the Qur’an has been interpreted textually and partially. This, by far, are happened in Paciran Lamongan in the recent years. Reconstruction of understanding verse of the Qur’an on vulnerable communities that is easily affected by movement of Islamic radicalism has been properly carried out, so that it can give a new atmosphere, and it can be the prevention to face the violence movement. Deradicalization of understanding to the Qur’an is a solution-based action to prevent violence and radicalism in the name of religion.
