Abstract

This study aims to produce LKS product based on discovery learning on animal and plant material in my home environment, describe the attractiveness, ease and usefulnessand also and the effectiveness of LKS. The method used is research and development. The population of this research is 253 fourth grade students of SDN in SidomulyoSubdistrict, South Lampung, with sample 92 students. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and written tests. The result of this research is LKS based on discovery learning feasible to be used based on validation test of material and design expert, peer assessment and student test in small group. Evaluation of the development of LKS shows the attractiveness of very high category of LKS with a value of 3.70 and the value of very high ease of 3.71 and the value of very high category benefits with a value of 3.71. Effectiveness test on the cognitive aspect shows the N-gain value of 0.83 categories is very effective in improving student achievement.Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk LKS berbasis discovery learningpada materi hewan dan tumbuhan di lingkungan rumahku, mendeskripsikan kemenarikan, kemudahan dan kemanfaatan serta efektivitas penggunaan LKS. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 253 siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Sidomulyo, Lampung Selatan, dengan sampel 92 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian adalah LKS berbasis discovery learning layak digunakan berdasarkan hasil validasi uji ahli materi dan desain, penilaian teman sejawat dan uji siswa di kelompok kecil. Evaluasi pengembangan LKS ini menunjukkan kemenarikan LKS kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai 3,70 dan nilai kemudahan sangat tinggi yaitu 3,71 serta nilai kemanfaatan kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai 3,71. Uji efektivitas pada aspek kognitif menunjukan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,83 kategori sangat efektif dalam peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa.Kata kunci: LKS, discovery learning, hewan dan tumbuhan
