Abstract

The increase in population has impacted on various existing resources particularly in transportation sectors. Motorized transport is one of the noise sources that could cause health problems and further interfere comfort to human. In this case, the noise level needs to be controlled based on the established quality standards as mandated by Ministry of Environment on Decree Number KEP-48 / MENLH / 11/1996 regarding Noise Level Standards. Most of the segments on Manek Roo Road, Sisingamangaraja Road and Gajah Mada Road located in Meulaboh, West Aceh District are roads located in government or private office, education and health buildings. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the noise level due to transportation activities. The study was conducted in the part of the Road and evaluated the buildings in part of Manek Roo Road, Sisingamangaraja Road and Gajah Mada Road located in Meulaboh, such as schools and hospitals to noise level concerning the standard of KEP-48 / MENLH / 11/1996. Data collection conducted in this research consist of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly from the observation such as traffic volume and noise level data while the secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies, and used to support the analysis. The result from the analysis reveals that the noise level due to transportation activities on the part of Road: Manek Roo, Sisingamangaraja, and Gajah Mada in Meulaboh West Aceh at 18 points of measurement is still above the quality standard (> 55 dBA). This noise level may disrupt the activities of schools, hospitals, etc. located along the road so that there is a need for such efforts so that the noise level received can be reduced and meet the specified quality standards.

Abstract

Acoustic technology for fisheries is one of technologies with the advantages to detect marine resources including estimating density and the presence of fish and relatively more accurate than conventional methods. The present study aims to assess the effectiveness of the operation of the lift-net with hydroacoustic technology in an effort to increase the productivity of the fisherman of boat liftnet. The study was conducted on fishing activity of boat liftnet in the Makassar Strait from April to May 2015 by utilizing the tools of acoustic technology in the operation of the boat liftnet. The analysis method is based on the productivity of the boat liftnet. The results showed that the productivity of fishing gear which is operated by using the tools of fisheries acoustic were improved compared with the fishing effort without acoustic tools. This result is expected to be a reference to research on the use of acoustic technology in a variety of fishing gear and as reference to research the use of science and technology in support of sustainable small-scale fishing effort.

Abstract

Efektivitas suatu alat tangkap, ditentukan oleh faktor teknis penangkapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan produktivitas bagan perahu, menganalisis faktor teknis penangkapan yang berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas penangkapan, dan mendeskripsikan komposisi hasil tangkapan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tobinta, Kecematan Karossa, Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah dari bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus, dengan menggunakan analisis spearman untuk mengetahui faktor teknis yang berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan produktivitas bagan perahu yang mengalami tren peningkatan dari hauling I ke hauling II. Faktor teknis memiliki kedekatan hubungan atau cukup berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas bagan perahu, dan proporsi jenis ikan hasil tangkapan bagan perahu yang terbesar adalah tembang (Sardinella fimbriata) dan proporsi terendah adalah tongkol (Euthynnus affinis). Kata Kunci: Bagan perahu, Produktivitas, Teknis penangkapan.

Abstract

Penggunaan dan keragaan unit alat tangkap berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan penangkapan ikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji optimasi penggunaan alat penangkapan yang ada di Selat Makassar, yaitu perairan Barru Sulawesi Selatan sampai Majene Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok data, yaitu data sekunder dan data primer. Pengumpulan data primer meliputi keragaan penggunaan alat tangkap, yaitu aspek teknis, biologi, sosial dan ekonomis, standirisasi alat penangkapan, pendugaan parameter model bioekonomi dan model penangkapan lestari (MSY), serta model bionomi. Alat tangkap purse seine merupakan unit penangkapan cakalang yang terbaik, begitu pula dengan aspek dari gabungan fungsi keempat aspek, sedangkan penggunaan alat tangkap yang digunakan pada ikan kakap merah belum mencapai overfishing.
