Abstract

The knowledge gained from experience is very valuable and cannot be generated instantly. Dayak Kanayant in the village Babane having knowledge the use of fauna that are seen as has done based on the experience such as leveraging for to drug, ritual, mystical, consumption, artistic value, omen and others. This knowledge have to documented remember high activity of the opening of land by the community that will be influential in the population for that is in the area that it would deprive of community knowledge will the use of animals. The purpose of this research is to the knowledge of the animals that is occupied, pattern the use and parts of an organ that is occupied. Methods used is the survey to technique interview the respondents with snowball sampling. Respondents obtained as many 19 people. Obtained 47 kind of for of 43 members of the family who used by the Dayak of Kanayant, of 43 the family most of the every the family only consisted of 1 species, except for the family of columbidae, muscicapidae, ranidae and the trionychidae each found two species. The use of vary from of the use of consumption, treatment, ritual, mystical, omen, and artistic value. The use of most that is as consumption needs namely 52 %. Pattern the use of animals that is the use of directly and indirectly, direct use as an omen (mystical), the use of indirect such as leveraging for consumption, treatmen, artistic value and rituals. The parts of an animal that is occupied covering full body, meat, bile, the intestines, fat, bone, hearts, eggs, teeth, head, blood, sound, horns and shell. Abstract

This study aims to the species of butterflies based on habitat type in Ambawang protected forest area, Sungai Deras village, Kubu Raya. The research method, that is explore the distribution of butterfly on 3 habitat type accordance with morning and evening activity. The data taken were species and quantity of butterfly which arrest and direct observation. Butterfly samples arrested made insectarium to facilitate identification. The result showed 17 genus of butterflies. Butterfly that often founded in 3 mullet were Neptis, Vindula, dan Moduza. While, in the secondary forest found most genus is Graphium, Papilio, Neptis, Vindula, Lexias, Tanaecia sp1, Moduza, Tanaecia sp2, Euploea, Charaxes, Acytolepis, dan Taxila.Keyword: Ambawang protected forest, butterfly, habitat.

Abstract

The mangrove forest is one of the very important natural resources for the forestry and fishery that is closely related to the preservation of aquatic ecosystem. The mangrove forest in PT. Kandelia Alam is 18.130 ha in size. The mangrove forest area has of PT. Kandelia Alam  has potential of natural attraction that can be develoved as a tourist area such as the endemic flora and fauna, aquatic biodiversity and many other activities to do in the area. The purpose if this research was to determine the  potential of objects that exist in the area of PT. Kandelia Alam. This research was conducted through observation and Accidental sampling in the field and conducted with a descriptive analysis. The potential of the natural attraction  found in the area includes mangrove forest ecosystem consisting of fauna, flora, mangrove forest vegetation, aquatic biodiversity, and black hornbill (Anthracoceros malayanus), and the flora are mangrove (Rhizophora apiculata), teruntum (Lumnitzera littorea), belukap (Rhizophora mucronata), and endemic species of kandelia (Kandelia candel), types of vegetation of mangroves, and nypa vegetation, while the natural phenomena are the sun set and the water flow; aquatic biodiversity found there : crab, shrimp, and  fish ; the activities that can be done as the tourist potential are boating, photography, wildlife observation, fishing, enjoying views of the sun set, and research. The potential of mangrove forest ecosystem are considered either to be develoved as a natural tourist attraction of mangrove forest in the area of PT. Kandelia Alam by in volving various parties such as the office of tourism, the community, and the WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature) and a good coorperation.Keyword : Attraction nature, Mangrove forest, Potential.

Abstract

Potential and attraction of ecotourism on the waterfall in the village Sekendal Dait gives rise to the desire of the community to undertake the development of tourism. To that end, this study has several objectives, namely (a) know the potential of ecotourism resources in Sekendal Village, namely waterfalls Dait (b) know the motivation, participation and peoples interest towards the development of ecotourism waterfall Dait, (c) Provide alternative package tours as well as provide feedback to the community as well as the District Tourism Office and Office related service Urchins to develop Attractions Dait waterfall in the village of Sekendal. Data retrieval community respondents and visitors is done with a questionnaire and interview methods later data processed by using the tabulator system. Furthermore, the data tabulated results were analyzed using analysis of ODTWA. The results of the research on the development potential of Attraction Attractions Waterfalls Dait namely the development potential of the tourist attraction of waterfall dait which can be done in the village of Sekendal is a form of ecotourism educative. The potential of ecotourism resources in the village of Sekendal that can be used as tourist attraction in the form of the landscape and culture of the community Sekendal. These include cultural mores in different rituals for the safety of visitors, visitors who visit the waterfall Dait average profession as a student/undergraduate student was about 17-25 years of age with the majority of visitors on motivations of domination for campingKeyword : Ecotourism, ODTWA, Society, Waterfall.

Abstract

Pasak bumi is one of West Kalimantans endemic forest products that has high economic value, which has many benefits in medicine. The purpose of this research is to investigate the habitat condition and pasak bumi (eurycoma longifolia jack) association in Bukit Benuah Sub-district of Sungai Ambawang District Kubu Raya. Data collected population, habitat, association, soil, climate, and topography. The condition were survey method, purposive sampling technique single plot, with a plot size of 20 x 20 m, that 0,24 ha . Results showed that population pasak bumi in Bukit Benuah found as many as 22 individuals. The physical condition of the Pasak Bumi (Eurycoma longifolia Jack) habitat in Bukit Benuah is in the altitude between 90 - 120 m dpl. The soil fertility status of the area is low, the type of soil is Podsolik Merah Kuning (PMK), has a smooth texture and included in clay class (clay), with average soil 6,18 pH.  The slope of the hill is rather sloping and the area is not flooded. The dominant vegetation type means acacia with INP 101,4%, kemayan with INP 81,34%, keranji with INP 49,28%, leban with INP 34,98%, durian with INP 23,65%. Species associated with pasak bumi are Acacia mangium, Diospyros macrophylla BI., Microcos tomentosa Sm., Dialium Indicum L, Durio zibethinus Murr, Vitex pinnata.Keywords: Association, Habitat, Pasak bumi (Eurycoma longifolia Jack)

Abstract

Orchid is one of biological natural resources that need to be maintained its diversity, not only as a constituent of tropical forest ecosystem but it also have many benefits and potential to be managed. The purpose of this research was to study the diversity of species of natural orchids (Orchidaceae) at different altitudes located in Wangkang Hill within the Protection Forest Area of Bawang Mountain, Sei Ambawang Village. This research use multiple plot method with plot of field observation purposively. Total of observation plot is 16 plots and each plot measure 20 by 20 meters. So each plot has an area of 0.04 ha so that the total plot of the research is 0.64 ha. The results showed that in area of Wangkang Hill found as many as 16 species of natural orchids, with details of all types are epiphytic orchids. The number of individuals is 165 orchids. The index of species diversity (H) is more than one that is 1,103 and for each altitude ranges from 0.766 - 0.966, with the largest species diversity occurs at altitude of 300 - 345 m asl. This shows that at altitude of 300 - 345 m asl the grade of species diversity is high or the types that are found more than other altitudes.Keywords: Altitude, forest, orchid, species diversity.

Abstract

The society of Kayu Baong Hamlet utilizes a special plantation of reproductive health as a traditional medicine that has been used inherited. The purpose for knowing the cultivation of the pharmacy and the exploiting, the treatment for the health of reproductive health. This research is descriptive, using the snowboll sampling  technique which is one of the most commonly used methods performed in chains by requesting information on the sample people. The data of the research result are covering genes of plants, health benefits, parts used, processing, directions in use. The results obtained in the field of plant genes used by the community of Kayu Baong Village Pekawai Village, Sayan Sub-district of Melawi Regency, obtained 23 species of medicinal fish from 21 family and if in groups based on habitat in face herbal most widely utilize asobat, based on the parts that are used by many people who usetheit of 10 species (47,82) and from the way of processing was the way boiled more widely used that is as much as 10 spesies (43.47%) based on its use, it turns out by way of drinking more that is 13 spesies (56.53%), and from the way the use of drugs was to treat bleeding after childbirth and at least. Abstract

Pasak bumi is an Indonesian endemic plants and just grow in Sumatera and Kalimantan. This study aimed to know how the morphology of pasak bumi by measuring of radiks, folium, caulis and flos. The method of this study were observing the radiks (radiks system, size, type), caulis (type, size, colour), folium (total of folium compositum, totally long of folium compositum, rachis, totally of foliolum, and foliolum observed are circumscriptio, apex folii, basis folii, nervatio or venatio, margo folii, intervenium, colour, and surface), and flos (totally flos, calyx, sepal, statemen,  tassel, female flowers). The results showed that the pasak bumi have grow in Dusun Benuah Kabupaten Kubu Raya West Kalimantan is a rarely shrubs or treelets and a spesies of Eurycoma longifolia Jack. Characteristic of Pasak bumi are 140 cm height, and 0,54 cm diameter. The caulis colour is brown to grey and monopodial. Folium compositum is imparipinnate, circumscriptio is ovate-lanceolate to obovate-lanceolate, apex folii is subacute or acute to acuminate, margo folii is integer. The flos of pasak bumi is inflorescentia ramosa panicula, panicles axillary, which has 46  flowers. The radiks of pasak bumi is a radix primaria. Abstract

The area of protected forest mountain Pemancing-mount Ambawang Bendera Hill is an area that has a high biodiversity. Among these groups are the fruit-producing plant species consumed by the condition of natural forest stands. The area of protected forest Bendera Hill has a high biodiversity potential especially in plants producing fruit trees for consumption. The purpose of this research is to know the morphological types of fruit-producing trees that are consumed in the area of protected forest Bendera Hill with doing identify and are expected to provide data and information on the types of fruit-producing trees that can be consumed. Protected forest Bendera Hill has a diversity of types of fruit-producers tree, with the discovery of 42 trees producing fruit which belongs into the 23 family. Morphological characteristics of tree species identification by identifying the characteristics of the morphology of vegetative and generative organs with, while identification of the characteristic morphology with generative organ was performed on 10 kinds of like Dacryodes rostrata (Taik Kambing); Garcinia nervosa (Manggis Hutan); Gracinia sp (Asam Gandis); Tamarindus indica (Asam Gandis); Litsea accedens (Medang); Bellucia pentamera (Jambu Monyet); Ficus variegata (Benying) Myristica iners (Pala Hutan); Syzygium lineatum (Jambu-jambu); and Madhuca kingiana (nyantoh Bangkok).
