Abstract

Abstract: Researchers at the initial observational data generation in Counseling education departemen students of LPTK A showed a low three aspects of their personal characteristics, namely empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. Researchers interpret the lack of development of three aspects because todays lecture use the expository method that often pay less attention to the students  organization of learning experiences, so that the material has been obtained simply forgotten. The use of jigsaw learning is expected to be a learning organization that is able to facilitate the student learning experience, so as to develop three aspects of these characteristics. This classroom action research took place in three cycles. Results obtained during the implementation of the study in the first cycle shows the average empathy, unconditional acceptance and genuines, still at the ‘low’ level. In the second cycle of the study note that the average of the three characteristics at the ‘moderate’ level. Whereas the third cycle study note that three characteristic aspects already reached the ‘high’. Keyword: jigsaw, personal character, counseling students Abstrak: Data pengamatan awal terhadap para mahasiswa prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling LPTK A menunjukkan tiga aspek karakteristik pribadi mahasiswa calon guru BK, yaitu empati, penerimaan tanpa syarat, dan ketulusan. Kurang berkembangnya tiga aspek tersebut patut diduga karena proses perkuliahan selama ini seringkali bersifat ekspositori yang kurang memperhatikan pengorganisasian pengalaman belajar, sehingga materi yang telah didapat terlupakan begitu saja. Penggunaan pembelajaran jigsaw diharapkan mampu menjadi pembelajaran yang mampu memfasilitasi pengorganisasian pengalaman belajar mahasiswa, sehingga mampu mengembangkan tiga aspek karakteristik tersebut. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini berlangsung dalam tiga siklus. Hasil yang diperoleh selama pelaksanaan penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan  rata-rata empati, penerimaan tanpa syarat dan kelutulusan, masih berada pada taraf ‘rendah’. Pada penelitian siklus II diketahui bahwa rata-rata tiga karakteristik pada taraf  ‘sedang’. Sedangkan pada penelitian siklus III diketahui bahwa tiga aspek karakteristik telah mencapai taraf ‘tinggi’. Kata Kunci: jigsaw, karakteristik pribadi, mahasiswa bimbingan dan konseling

Abstract

This research was aimed to discover the effectiveness of psychoeducation model by using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to improve the awareness about the dangers of smoking of junior high school students. This research was an experimental research using randomized matching two-groups design. Design of the research contained pretest, treatment, and posttest. The subjects of this research were 28 students. Technique of collecting data used questionnaire with awareness scale about the danger of smoking. The result of Mann-Whitney was shown that P-value= 0,0485 (0,0485< 0.05), so it can be concluded that there was a difference of the awareness about the dangers of smoking between experimental group and controlled group. The conclusion of this research was that psychoeducation model by using sognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) was effective to improve the awareness about the dangers of smoking of the students

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of reality counseling with WDEP to improve Junior High School students achievement motivation and its impact on learning achievement. This experimental research used nonequivalent control group design. This research uses achievement motivation scale as the data collecting method. This achievement motivation scale is used to know the student achievement motivation. The subject of this research are VIII grade students of Junior High School in Boyolali who hadlowest achievement motivation. In effort to find this relevant subject, the research uses purpossive sampling technique. In addiction to analyze this subject, this research uses Mann Whitney test and Wilcoxon test as its data analysis techniques. The result of this research shows that significant gain score difference between experimental group and control group (p value=0,025 (0,025< 0,05). The achievement motivation scores of the experimental group are significantly increased more than the control group.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of group guidance and counseling services through self management to improve independent learning eighth graders student in MTs. This study is an experimental research with Treatment by Subjects Designs. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. Subjects in this study amounted to 112 students of class VIII. The instrument of data collection using Likert scale learning independence. Analysis of data using t test techniques. Results t test showed that value of tcount=26,941 and ttable=2,042, so tcount>ttable. Result of the research that self management with group guidance effective to improve independent learning student. Suggestion based on the result of research is that it is necessary to apply self management technique on group guidance implementation in MTs in order to be able to encourage the development of student learning independence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) participants’ self-confidence who have high self-disclosure and high economic level of parents; (2) participants’ self-confidence who have high self-disclosure and low economic level of the parents; (3) participants’ self-confidence who have low self-disclosure and high parental economic level; (4) participants’ self-confidence who both have low of self-disclosure and economic level of parents. This were descriptive correlational research. The participants were 106 students taken by random sampling technique. The conclusion of this study is general self-confidence of participants included in the high category followed by medium category both of self-disclosure and parental economic level.
