Abstract

Schizophrenia is a psychiatric illness that causes the burden and maladaptive coping mechanism on the family. The burden and maladaptive coping mechanisms have an impact on the quality of family life and the ability of families to care for schizophrenic patients. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of supportive group therapy on the burden and coping mechanisms in caring for family members who suffer schizophrenia. The design of this research was a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental study with control group design. The number of samples was 14 in the treatment group and 15 in the control group with purposive sampling. Variable of burden was measured with the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) and the coping mechanism was assessed by using Brief COPE Inventory (BCI). This supportive therapy was performed in 4 sessions with a total of 6 meetings. The results showed that there were significant differences on burden values and coping mechanisms before and after supportive therapy in the treatment group (p-value= 0.000). In the control group, there was a significant difference on the value of burden before and after health counseling (p-value =0.010), but there was no difference of coping mechanism value before and after health counseling (p-value=0.225). There were significant differences on the burden value (p-value=0.002) and coping mechanisms (p-value= 0.001) between treatment and control group. dr Rehatta Hospital is expected to facilitate the formation of peer support group in the psychiatry clinic so mental health in the family can be achieved.

Abstract

Background: Self efficacy can optimize the quality of life of clients who undergo the healing process due to chronic diseases. Individuals with higher self-efficacy move their personal and social resources proactively to maintain and improve the quality and length of their lives so that they experience a better quality of life. Objectives: the purpose of this study was to find the correlation between self efficacy and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis at RSUD Semarang Regency. Metode: This type of research was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study more 76 people with total sampling technique. The data collection tool for self efficacy was measured by General Self-Efficacy scale, for quality of life with WHOQoL-BREF. Statistical test used Kolmogorov-smirnov. Result: The result showed that self efficacy in patients with chronic kidney disease was mostly in moderate category (53,9%), quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease was mostly in good category (68,4%). There was a correlation between self efficacy and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis at RSUD Semarang Regency, the result obtained p-value of 0.000 <α (0,05). Suggestion: Patients with chronic kidney disease can maintain good quality of life by helping to generate positive self-esteem and high self efficacy.

Abstract

Tuntutan kelulusan pada siswa Ujian Nasional mengakibatkan kecemasan. Kecemasan ditandai sulit tidur dan konsentrasi belajar menurun.  Kecemasan tersebut dapat diatasi melalui terapi relaksasi otot progresif, dengan  menegangkan dan melemaskan otot-otot bagian tubuh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan kecemasan siswa Ujian Nasional dengan terapi relaksasi otot progresif. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasy experimental pre post test one group design. Sampel 40 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini meliputi data demografi, Hamilton anxiety rating scale 14 pertanyaan kecemasan. Responden diberikan terapi relaksasi otot progresif selama 1 minggu dalam 3 sesi, dimana terdapat 3 kali pertemuan dengan jeda waktu 1 hari disetiap pertemuannya. Analisis data menggunakan uji t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum diberikan terapi relaksasi otot progresif rata-rata kecemasan siswa 29,95, dan sesudah diberikan terapi menjadi 18,20. Hasil akhir menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan nilai kecemasan siswa Ujian Nasional sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi relaksasi otot progresif dengan nilai p-value = 0,000. Kesimpulannya adalah adanya perbedaan kecemasan siswa sebelum dan sesudah terapi relaksasi otot progresif di SMK Islam Sudirman Ungaran. Siswa yang mengalami kecemasan saat Ujian Nasional diharapkan menerapkan terapi relaksasi otot progresif agar dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi dalam belajarnya. Kata Kunci : Kecemasan; Terapi relaksasi otot progresif

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa yang rentan dengan perilaku menyimpang yang memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi dan cenderung meniru perilaku orang dewasa yang ada disekitarnya yang akan mengakibatkan terjadinya kenakalan remaja. Faktor yang mempengaruhi remaja salah satunya adalah kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa di SMK Islam Sudirman Kecamatan Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dengan porpotional random sampling. Besarnya sampel adalah 76 siswa di SMK Islam Sudirman Kecamatan Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang. Instrumen penelitiannya berupa kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Kendall Tau.Kemudian hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar kecerdasan emosional adalah rendah sebanyak 34 responden (44,7%), dan didapatkan bahwa sebagian besar kenakalan remaja adalah sedang sebanyak 43 responden (56,6%). Hasil penelitian melalui uji statistik Kendall Tau didapatkan nilai p-value 0,000<=0,05 yang artinya ada hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa di SMK Islam Sudirman Kecamatan Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja diharapkan lebih peka dengan kasus-kasus kenakalan yang marak terjadi. Dengan demikian, para remaja bisa merefleksikan diri agar terhindar dari perilaku-perilaku tersebut. Salah satu cara remaja untuk dapat terhindar adalah dengan mengembangkan kecerdasan emosionalnya, karena kecerdasan emosional merupakan kemampuan yang bisa dipelajari. Kata kunci : Kecerdasan emosional, kenakalan remaja THE RESILIENCE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH STRESS LEVELS OF PARENTS WHO HAVE CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER ABSTRACTAdolescence is a susceptible period with deviant behavior who have high curiosity and tend to imitate the behavior of adults around them that will result in juvenile delinquency. The factor affecting juvenile delinquency is emotional intelligence. This study aim to know the correlation between emotional intelligence and juvenile delinquency on students at SMK Islam Sudirman West Ungaran Sub District Semarang Regency. The research was descriptive correlation research with cross sectional approach. Sampling used porpotional random sampling. The samples were 76 students at SMK Islam Sudirman West Ungaran Sub District Semarang Regency. The research instrument used a questionaire. Data analysis used statistical test of Kendall Tau. The results show that emotional intelligence is mostly low as many 34 students (44,7%) and juvenile delinquency is mostly medium as many as 43 students (56,6%). The results of the research through statistical test of Kendall Tau get p-value 0,000<=0,05 which means there is correlation between emotional intelligence and juvenile delinquency on students At SMK Islam Sudirman West Ungaran subdistrict Semarang Regency. Suggestion in this study students are expected to be more sensitive on juvenile delinquency cases. So, students can reflect themselves to avoid these behaviors. One of the ways is by developing emotional intelligence, because emotional intelligence is abilities that can be learned. Keywords: Emotional intelligence, juvenile delinquency
