Abstract

Hinduism is one of the world's oldest religions. Based on historical tracks it is estimated that Hinduism began to flourish in 5000 BC, located in the valley of the Sindhu River India. The development of Hinduism in India has been linked with the Aryan Nations traveling across Central Asia to India, settling in the territory of the Sindhu River, or more popularly known as the Indus area. In line with the progress of civilization Hindu religion also experienced the development or dissemination to some other countries outside the country of India. Indonesia is one of the countries that became the area of dissemination or development of Hinduism. Bali is one of the archipelago areas that became the central point of the development of Hindu religion in the archipelago. The development of Hinduism in Bali has a strong suggestion of local cultural systems and customs. Therefore, the teachings of Hinduism in Bali have their own characteristics when compared with the beliefs of Hinduism in other countries.Based on this background, three problems can be formulated: (1) What are the backgrounds and factors inhibiting the maintenance and preservation of the three heavens in Tegal Darmasaba Traditional Village? (2) What is the communication strategy that should be done by village counselors in the preservation of the three heavens in Tegal Darmasaba Traditional Village? (3) What are the communication implications of indigenous village customs in the preservation of the three heavens in Tegal Darmasaba ?. The purpose of this study is to solve and find solutions to a problem, also has the potential and effective power in achieving the goals and support the success of research conducted. This type of research is qualitative research with data collection techniques used are observation, interview, literature and documentation. Data analysis is presented in descriptive qualitative.This study aims to develop a concept or develop an understanding of an emperis phenomenon, in this case the phenomenon of preservation parhyangan, and the role of prajuru Desa Pakraman especially Tegal Darmasaba Village in preserving Dua Kahyangan Tiga. This research can be concluded to be 3 that is: 1) inhibiting factor in maintenance and preservation of three heavens in Tegal Darmasaba custom village in the form of burden of kahan, burden of cost, and difference of understanding. 2) communication strategy of customary village in the preservation of two heavens in Tegal Darmasaba traditional village of persuasive communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, organizational communication and mass communication. 3) The communication implications of customary village counselors in the preservation of the three divisions in Tegal Darmasaba customary village are the implications in the social field, the implications in the religious field and the implications in the field of village weakness.

Abstract

Communication produces a diversity of cultures and traditions. There are two existing cultures that are profane and sacred. One of the sacred culture is Meedeng Godel (Cow's son) which is implemented by the people of Pakraman Susut Village located in Payangan District Gianyar Regency. Based on the process that can be formulated as follows: 1) How the process of intra-cultural communication Meedeng Godel on the implementation of the series of ceremonies Nyepi in Pura Dalem  2) Implement intercultural communication that occurred in the ceremony Meedeng Godel in the implementation of the series of ceremonies Nyepi in Pura Dalem 3) How the meaning of intra cultural communication Meedeng Godel in the implementation of the series of ceremonies Nyepi in Pura Dalem of Desa Pakraman Susut, Buahan Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency.In summary, the findings can be summarized as follows: Intra-cultural communication in Meedeng Godel on the implementation of the Nyepi ceremony at Pura Dalem of Pakraman Susut Village, Buahan Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency, carried out by the village of Pakraman Susut seven days before Nyepi ceremony which is used as the ceremony tawur kesanga. Communication that occurs verbal and nonverbal communication Yingan and Sarwa Pepranian Offering at Pura Dalem of Pakraman Susut Village.The meaning of intra-cultural communication Meedeng Godel in the implementation of the series of ceremonies Nyepi in Pura Dalem of Pakraman Susut Village, the meaning of intrapersonal communication Meedeng Godel as the obligation of society and as a spark of the conscience of the community, the meaning of sociocultural communication, the meaning of religious communication, the meaning of persuasive and interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Bali having many literary work in form of lontar which is stored in a library or collection of personal. Overall, it cannot be known for certain but mostly to lack of care. The lontar contain to the transcendent value the teachings of Hinduism that can be implemented in life. This research revealed about the preservation of cultural and Hinduism through the efforts of lontar digitalization which is then associated with the role of Hinduism informal education especially at Puri Gede Kerambitan. The focus of research are: lontar digitalization process, the role of the lontar digitalization to Hinduism informal education, and the efforts that supports lontar digitalization. The purpose of this research are: provides a description of lontar digitalization at Puri Gede Kerambitan, explaining the role of the process of lontar digitalization to Hinduism informal education and provides a description of supporting efforts lontar digitalization. Disclosure of research results was done through qualitative arguments. The results of this study indicate that are (1) Lontar is cultural documentation of the past that is highly valued. The preservation of lontar by doing lontar digitalization can provides a description about the conversion of the lontar into the form of digital image by using digital equipments. Lontar digitalization as a positive step to save the literature about culture and Hinduism that is highly valued; (2) Lontar digitalization has a positive for the process of Hinduism informal education by applying values of Hinduism directly during the performance of lontar digitalization; (3) Puri Gede Kerambitan gives full support to the lontar digitalization process that has been conducted by outsiders. But the Government support is still not maximum yet to the preservation of culture and Hinduism. The efforts made by various parties were the overview of insights and viewpoints that support the preservation of lontar through lontar digitalization.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship of religious symbols and state symbols in the Taman Suci Temple, also known as Pura Veteran, in the Tua Village, Tabanan, one of the locations for Balinese fighters in defending Indonesian independence from Dutch attacks in 1946. Besides religious symbols, in the Veteran Temple there are also state symbols such as the Garuda Pancasila decoration, the Red and White flag, and advice on fighting sharp bamboo. Data from this qualitative study were obtained from field observations, library studies, and interviews. Data analysis is carried out with critical interpretive methods which include reduction steps, classification, interpretation, and making conclusions. The article concludes that Pura Vetaran has a socio-religious function as a means of social interaction, fosters Hindu social solidarity, and socio-political functions to arouse nationalism as concerned with the use of the Garuda Pancasila symbol and the Red and White of national flag.
