Abstract

ABSTRACTCareer aspiration is very important for students because career aspiration is the desire or hope, ideals, ambitions, and dreams that realistic individuals against certain achievements in the future. Career aspiration are associated with the primary desire of the individual, and an achievement that would like tried to be achieved. Based on the facts found in the field, the low high school graduates who do not attend school to college. In fact, the phenomenon had been contradiction with the high school purpose to continue their education to a higher level. That phenomenon is an indication that the students career aspirations are in the low category. One of the efforts to improving the students career aspiration is within information service. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of information services using discovery learning approach in improving students career aspiration. This study uses quantitative methods using Quasi Non Randomized Experiment with the design of pretest-posttest control group design. Subjects were students of SMAN 8 Padang as an experimental group and a students at SMAN 7 Padang as the control group. The research instrument used was Likert Scale models, then be analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test Two Independent Samples with SPSS version 17.00. The findings of this research generally indicates that the information service using discovery learning approach is effective in improving students career aspirations. Furthermore, research findings in particular that: (1) there are significant differences career aspiration in the students the experimental group before and after the information service using the approach of discovery learning, (2) there is a difference career aspiration in the control group before and after the information service without using the approach of discovery learning, (3) there is a difference career aspiration between the experimental group students were given information services using discovery learning approach to the control group were given the information service without using discovery learning approach. Based on the results of the study showed that the experimental group and the control group had increased scores in career aspirations but the experimental group experienced a greater improvement than the control group. Furthermore, based on the results of this study that can be suggested to the parties concerned to be able to work together to help students improve their career aspirations.Keywords: Career Aspiration of Students, Information Services, Discovery Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACKAcademic procrastination is an act of delays in doing a task. Based on the findings in the field, it was revealed that there are students who perform academic procrastination action. Procrastination is done in the form of a delay doing the thesis that has an impact on the completion of the study. The findings of this researcher into an indication that students have academic procrastination problems in doing thesis. One effort to solve the problem is by providing information services. This research uses quantitative method. This research type is experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Research subjects amounted to 24 students of guidance and counseling courses above the eighth semester until academic year 2017/2018. The research instrument used Likert Scale model. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 20.00. In general, research findings indicate that information service is effective in reducing student academic procrastination in doing thesis. Specifically, 1) the level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis before being given treatment is in very high category; 2) the level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis after being given the treatment is in the high category; and 3) there is a difference or decreased level of student academic procrastination in doing thesis after given information service. Based on the results of this study can be suggested to the relevant parties in order to work together in helping to overcome the academic procrastination of students in doing thesis. Keywords: Academic Procrastination, Information Service.

Abstract

ABSTRAKFenomena kekerasan yang terjadi di Indonesia selalu mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Kekerasan yang terjadi bukan saja di kalangan masyarakat umum akan tetapi terjadi di dalam ranah pendidikan. Masalah yang terjadi mengenai kekerasan tersebut merupakan gambaran bagaimana keberhasilan pendidikan di Indonesia. Banyak cara yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk mengatasi masalah krisis karakter yang terjadi pada generasi penerus bangsa, salah satunya adalah munculnya pendidikan karakter ke dalam kurikulum. Salah satu cara mengatasi masalah yang berkaitan dengan karakter bangsa adalah dengan Pendidikan Karakter Cerdas Format Kelompok atau yang lebih dikenal dengan PKC-KO. PKC-KO dapat dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahap diantaranya tahap pengawalan, tahap peralihan, tahap pembahasan, tahap penyimpulan, dan tahap penutup. Pelaksanaan PKC-KO dinilai efektif dalam membelajarkan anggota PKC-KO dalam menghayati dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai karakter cerdas bangsa yang pancasilais dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

AbstrakKonsep yang disajikan Permendikbud Nomor 81A Tahun 2013 mengenai potensi peserta didik untuk aktif mencari, mengolah, mengkontruksi, dan menggunakan pengetahuan tergambar jelas dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Pembelajaran kontekstual dapat terlaksana dengan menggunakan tujuh pinsip yaitu kontruktivisme (constructivism), menemukan (inquiry), bertanya (questioning), masyarakat belajar (learning community), pemodelan (modelling), refleksi (reflection), dan penilaian autentik (authentic assessment). Terkait dengan adanya Bimbingan dan Konseling di sekolah maka substansinya adalah Bimbingan dan Konseling perlu disiapkan untuk memfasilitasi satuan pendidikan dalam mewujudkan proses pendidikan yang memperhatikan dan menjawab ragam kemampuan, kebutuhan, dan minat sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Bentuk pengimplementasian pembelajaran kontekstual dalam Bimbingan dan Konseling adalah adanya pelaksanaan layanan informasi format klasikal.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Bimbingan dan Konseling.
