Abstract

ABSTRAK PBL menawarkan banyak keuntungan, yaitu pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas, holistik dan bernilai tambah untuk membekali mahasiswa dalam belajar menjadi tenaga kesehatan yang profesional. Kesuksesan PBL dipengaruhi berbagai faktor diantaranya adalah peran tutor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran tutor pada kegiatan PBL di PSIK FK UNLAM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, jumlah sampel 96 orang, sampel diambil dengan teknik stratified proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 73% mempersepsikan peran tutor baik, dan 27% sedang. Persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran tutor pada proses dalam kelompok didapatkan sebanyak 74% mempersepsikan peran tutor baik, dan 26% sedang. Persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran tutor pada proses penalaran didapatkan sebanyak 78% mempersepsikan peran tutor baik, 21% sedang dan 1% kurang. Persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran tutor pada belajar mandiri didapatkan sebanyak 76% mempersepsikan peran tutor baik, 23% sedang, dan 1% kurang. Kesimpulan, peran tutor pada kegiatan PBL (proses dalam kelompok, penalaran, dan belajar mandiri) di PSIK FK UNLAM sebagian besar adalah baik. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai PBL secara kualitatif untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi mahasiswa tentang peran tutor pada kegiatan PBL.Kata-kata kunci : PBL, peran tutor, persepsi. ABSTRACT PBL offers many advantages, namely the more qualified, holistic, and value-added education, providing students the opportunity to learn to be a health care professional. The success of PBL is influenced by many factors including the role of the tutor. This study aimed to find out the students perceptions on tutors role in PBL activities at PSIK FK UNLAM. This study applied a descriptive research with cross sectional approach, with the samples of 96 students, which were collected by stratified proportional random sampling technique. The result indicated that 73% of students perceived that the tutors role was good, and 27% said it was moderate. Students perceptions on tutors role in the process within a group showed that 74% perceived it was good, and 26% said it was moderate. While students perceptions on the tutors role in the reasoning process gained as much as 78% that perceived it was good, 21% said that it was moderate and 1 % described it was less good. Students perceptions on the tutors role in self-learning indicated that 76% perceived it was good, 23% said it was moderate and 1% said it was less good. In conclusion, the tutors role in PBL activities (in the process within a group, in the reasoning process, and in self-learning) at PSIK FK UNLAM: was mostly good research is needed regarding PBL qualitatively to determine the factors that influence students perceptions on tutors role in PBL activities.Keywords: PBL, tutors role, perception.
