Abstract

Abstract: This research was classroom action research with two cycles. The purpose of this research was to improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning result at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru through the implentation cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) especially on social arithmetic topic. The research instruments were learning devices which were syllabus, lesson plan (RPP), and student woksheet (LKS) and the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and students’ mathematics test. The subject of this research was the students at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru which consisting of 24 girls with heterogeneous ability. Based on the analyzed of students and teacher activity after implemented the cooperative learning type TSTS, it can be concluded that there was an improvement of learning process at each cycles. Students’ participation was more active and become more independent through the learning process. The analyzed of students’ mathematics learning result data shows that there was an improvement of students’ mathematic learning result in second cycle. There were 16,67% students that reach KKM in UH I, and its improved in UH II which 54,17% students who reach KKM. Based on the result above, it could be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning type TSTS can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning result at class VII A4 at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru.Key Word: mathematics learning result, cooperative learning, two stay two stray, classroom action research

Abstract

Abstract— This study aimed to determine students responses toward the development of student worksheet with problem based learning model in the comparison material. This study used 4-D model of development that consisted of four stages, namely the definition, design, development, and disseminate. Data collection instruments were sheets of validation and questionnaire of students’ responses. The questionnaire of students’ responses used Guttman scale consisting of 20 items of positive and negative statements. Grain statement was based on the aspects of accuracy, conformity with learning models, as well as the fulfillment of the terms of didactic, construction, and technical. Before tested to students, the student worksheet has been validated by three experts on mathematics education with very valid results (3.73). The student worksheet trial conducted to 32 students of class VII-1 SMPN 1 Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi, Riau Province during the second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. After carrying out learning by using worksheets, students were given the response questionnaire. Overall, students gave a positive response to the student worksheet which amounted to 94.37% categorized as very practical. Although the student worksheet already using Indonesian referring to Spelling Enhanced, there are some students who think that they find the unknown word or term on student worksheet. However, this is not a significant obstacle in learning because the student worksheet was developed for group learning so students can discuss things they did not understand with their group members.  Keywords: problem based learning, students’ response, students’ worksheet Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan. Pengembangan menggunakan model 4-D  yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu Definition, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Setelah melakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan lembar kerja, siswa diberi angket respon. Secara keseluruhan, siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap lembar kerja siswa yang berjumlah 94,37% tergolong sangat praktis. Meskipun lembar kerja siswa sudah menggunakan bahasa Indonesia yang mengacu pada Ejaan yang Disempurnakan, ada beberapa siswa yang menemukan kata atau istilah yang tidak diketahui pada lembar kerja siswa. Namun, ini bukan masalah karena lembar kerja siswa dikembangkan untuk pembelajaran kelompok sehingga siswa dapat mendiskusikan hal-hal yang tidak mereka mengerti dengan anggota kelompok mereka. Keywords: problem based learning, students’ response, students’ worksheet

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students by applying learning cycle 5E. The subjects of this research are the students of class  SMPN 25 Pekanbaru at the second semester of academic years 2017/2018 which total number of participants are 35 students, consists of 20 male students and 15 female students with heterogeneous academic achievements. This research has two cycles. Each of them has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collecting instruments consist observation sheet (learning process) and the students' worksheet. Learning device used in this research consists of Syllabus, Lesson plan, and Student work sheet. The data were analized by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive analysis. The data were obtained from the observation sheets of teacher and students activities that showed the learning process has improved after the model being implemented. From the data of the student’s evaluation test, it showed that the number of students who reach with Minimal Score of Criteria is 75, increased from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. In addition, the percentage of students who achieved KKM from basic score to quiz I increased by 14,29% and from quiz I to quiz II increased by 25,71%. In conclusion, the implementation of discovery learning model can improve the learning process and increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students of grade  SMPN 25 Pekanbaru at the second semester of academic years 2017/2018  on rectangular and triangular materials.  Key Words : The outcomes of mathematics learning, Learning Cycle 5E, class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was a classroom action research that aimed to improve learning process and increase student mathematics achievement with applied the learning model of Discovery Learning. The subject of this research was students of class VIIIB SMPN 1 Kampar Utara in odd semester in academic year 2018/2019, around 16 students, consisted of six boys and 10 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle had four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis technique, while the students’ mathematic tests result was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis technique. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process before the action on the first cycle to second cycle. Most of the students were very enthusiastic and seemed to be confidence and active in learning process. The results of this study indicated the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score (37,5 %) to UH-I (56,25 %) up to UH-II (68,75%) and on competency skill increase from UH I (31,25%) to UH II (56,25%) thus it could be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model can improve the learning process and increase mathematics achievement of the students at class VIIIB SMPN 1 Kampar Utara in odd semester in academic year 2018/2019 for the main material of Relasi dan Fungsi.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Discovery Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to improve learning process and increase student’s mathematical achievement through implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL)Model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class X Science 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lirik in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The subject of this research consist of 22 students, there are 12 female students and 10 male students.The research instrument consists of learning materials and instruments for collecting data. Learning materials used in this research are the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Activity Sheets. Instrument data collectors used in this research are observation sheet and mathematical achievement test. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data and descriptive statistics analysis ofquantitative data. Application of PBL model also gives positive impact on the implementation of learning process that students become more active in learning activities so that learning is not centered on the teacher. Students are also trained to build their own knowledge and can find their own mathematical concepts through the presentation of problems close to the student's real life. The percentage of students which ispass Minimum Mastery Crieria (MMC) increase from 31,8% to 59,1% at the first test and to 77,3% at the second test. This research concludes that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical achievement atclass X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lirik. PBL model can be used as an alternative to learning, because through this learning can improve the learning processand mathematical achievement of the students.Key Words: Classroom Action Research, Problem Based Learning models, Learning outcomes, Learning Process

Abstract

Abstract: Data daily test results of students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala provide information that the percentage of learners who reach the criteria masses of mminimum is still low. This Study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning by applying problem based learning model. This cclassroom action research with two cycles was conducted in class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala in the second semester of academic year 2018/2019 to 32 students.The required data are teacher and students activities, collected by observation technique and analyzed by descriptive narative analysis, and data of the students evaluation collected by tes technique and analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Statistics descriptive analysis shows that students mathematics learning outcomes improved from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. This study concludes is implementation of problem based learning improved the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning at class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala in the second semester of academic year 2018/2019.Key Words: Problem Based Learning, Outcomes of Mathematic Learning, Learning Process

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes the fifth grade of mathematics students at Al-Jauhar Mandau by applying the direct instructional model. The subject of the research were students of class V. This research is a class act with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. To get the results, do analysis data of the teachers and students activitieswith the observation sheets and the analysis data ofmathematicslearning outcomesof studentsfrom the test in every in the end of the cycle. The improvements of the learning process of the students and the increase in the numberof studentswho achievedatUHKKM in the endof eachcyclecompared to thenumber ofstudents who achieveda score ofKKMonthe basis score. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve learning process and the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VIIB MTs As-Syafi’iyyah Air Panas in the odd semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The subject of this research consist of 23 students. The research instrument consists of learning materials used include Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Student Work Sheets and instruments for collecting data are observation sheets and test of mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis and descriptive statistics analysis. From the analysis of observation sheets, it can be seen that there is improvement of learning process. The percentage and frequency of students who achieved minimum completeness criteria is increased from the basic score with percentage 4,35% (1 students) to cycle I with percentage 43,48 (10 students) and 60,87% (14 students) in cycle II. This research concludes that the implementation of PBL model improved the learning process and the student’s mathematics learning outcomes at class VIIB MTs As-Syafi’iyyah Air Panas in the odd semester of the academic year 2018/2019Key Words: Problem Based Learning Model, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve of learning process and to improve the ability of reasoning with implementation of an integrated approach to the scientific learning model problem based learning . The subject of this research is student of class X MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 4 Pekanabru in academic years 2018/2019, which total of 36 students, 13 boys and 23 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and tests of mathematical reasoning abilities. The observation sheet were analyzed by descriptive narrative analysis technique, while the mathematical reasoning ability test were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis techniques. From qualitative analysis, Students are seen to be actively participating and increasingly independent in the learning process carried out. The results of this study indicate an increase in mathematical reasoning ability can be seen from the number of students who achieved the score in criteria good and very good increased from the base score 4 (11.1%) to the test I amounted to 17 people (47.41%) and test II amounted 29 people (80.5%). Thus it can be concluded the application of integrated scientific approach to the problem based learning learning model can improve the learning process and improve the mathematical reasoning abilities of students in class X MIPA-1 Pekanbaru SMA Negeri 4 in the odd semester of the 2017/2018 school year on the subject matter of rational inequality and irrational and SPLTV.Key Words: Mathematical Reasoning Ability, Scientific, Problem Based Learning Class Action Research
