Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of Alqurun Teaching Model in terms of studentsconceptual understanding of mathematics. This research used one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMPN 2 Metro in academic year of 2016/2017. The sample of this research were students of VII-B class which was choosen by random sampling. Instument used in this research was test. Analysis data of this research used t paired-test. . Analysis data of this research used paired-test. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that Alqurun Teaching Model was not effective in terms of studentsconceptual understanding of mathematics. However, understanding mathematical concepts of students after following Alqurun Teaching Model was better than before following Alqurun Teaching Model.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Alqurun Teaching Model ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Metro tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa Alqurun Teaching Model tidak efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Namun, pemahaman konsep matematis siswa setelah mengikuti Alqurun Teaching Model lebih baik daripada sebelum mengikuti Alqurun Teaching Model.Kata kunci: Alqurun Teaching Model, Efektivitas, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis
