Abstract

The type of research used in this study is a research experiment. The population in this research is the grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. Instruments used for data collection is a test of interest in learning chemistry in the form of essays and learning interest of students now. The test results obtained (1) there is a change of interest in learning chemistry being taught through the model of learning computer-assisted inkuiri media on the subject of reaction rates on the now interest the average experimental class students which of the 28 students There are 5 students or 18% interest rate which is at a "very good" category, 18 students or 64% in the category of "good", 5 students 18% in the category of "enough". On the control class's interest now is obtained that the average value of the interest of students which of the 28 students there was 1 person or 4% of the students that the level of interest in being on the category "very good", 10 students or 36% on the "good" category, 16 students or 57% in "enough" category, and 1 person or 4% in the category of "less". So the conclusion drawn interest studied chemistry is taught through the model of computer-aided media learning inkuiri higher than on cooperative learning methods. Keywords: Model Inkuiri, Computer Media, Interest In Learning Chemistry.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the situation and the problems faced by the partners, the devotional team will provide a solution to overcome teacher difficulties in developing learning media. The solution will be in the form of training and mentor for teachers in developing learning media with software incombination with Microsoft PowerPoint and Camtasia. The results achieved in this IbM activity are (1) Positive feedback obtained from the school, teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 11 Padangsidimpuan during the activity. (2) Increasing information on instructional media that can help learning materials for teachers. (3) Teachers can design instructional media that can be adapted to the circumstances surrounding environment. Abstract

The problem in this research is the low interest of physics student learning influence to the success of a process of physics learning. To overcome this problem, this research applied learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E"). This study aims to improve students learning creativity, student learning activities, teachers ability to manage learning and students interest in physical learning through learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") on Cubes and Balok subjects in class VIII-2 SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur. Data analysis shows that for the cycle I there is increase cycle II. The result of observation of student activity on cycle I obtained by cycle II increase. Observation on the ability of teachers to manage to learn in cycle I am in the category of "good," and for cycle II there is an increase that is in the category of "very good". The above conclusions suggest that the implementation of the learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") can be used in an effort to increase the students learning interest in physics and to the teacher, it is expected to implement the learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") on other subjects on physics lessons or appropriate subjects. Keywords: Student Learning Interest, Learning Cycle Model "5e".

Abstract

Understanding the concept as one of the keys to success in studying science especially Physics, so do not have to memorize the formula but enough just by understanding the concept alone. Based on observations during community research activities, some positive results were obtained: Participants showed very high attention to the material using PhET Simulation.From the preliminary test in cycle I the pretest score of about 10% is able to answer to 77.5%, while in cycle II the value of the dropper about 20% increased to 97.5%. While for the activity of students which cover the realm of ability to use PhET Simulation from 73,75% in cycle I increase to 85% in cycle II, Inenthusiasm Attitude enthusiasm using PhET Simulation from 75% in cycle I increased to 86,25% in cycle II, In the field of cooperation in the group using PhET Simulation of 72.5% in the first cycle increased to 86.25% in cycle II. In the realm of the ability to use worksheets in PhET Simulation from 75% in cycleI increased to 88.75% in cycle II. In the sphere of participation in the discussion using PhET Simulation from 75% in the first cycle increased to 86.25% in cycle II. The result of the research is the increasing of concept comprehension and the increasing of student learning activity.Keywords:PhET Simulation, Conceptual Understanding, Learning Activities

Abstract

This research aims to gain a practical guidebook on integrated SCIENCE Class VII semester odd with the utilization of the natural resources of South Labuhan Batu Regency. (1) the test to find out the feasibility of integrated SCIENCE practical guidebook on Class VII semester has developed an odd fit standard BSNP. (2) to find out the opinions of teachers and professors against the practical guidebook on integrated SCIENCE Class VII semester has developed an odd fit standard BSNP. The entire sample is selected by means of purposive sampling. Samples are defined in this study (1) Professor of biology, physics and chemistry University of Muhammadiyah South Tapanuli S2 education criteria amounted to 3 people. (2) integrated SCIENCE teachers in district of South Labuhan Batu Regency Torgamba from some schools with Undergraduate education criteria. The results of the deliberations of the research (1) to the average value of all aspects of the standard of eligibility based on the criteria of 4.30 BSNP is validitasnya { very valid and do not need revision (very decent)}. (2) the standard eligibility content was of 297 as well as an average rating of 4.30 by respondents lecturer and 613 and the average rating of 4.44 by the respondent teachers IPA. The standard language is the feasibility of 193 and an average rating of 4.29 by the respondents to the lecturer and 356 and the average value of 3.96 by respondents to the teachers of the IPA. The eligibility standards of presentation is of 206 as well as an average rating of 4.43 by respondents lecturer and 415 and the average rating of 4.32 by respondents to the teachers of the IPA. The eligibility standard kegrafikan is 476, as well as the average value of 4.29 by the respondents to the lecturer and 963 and the average rating of 4.34 by respondents to the teachers of the IPA.

Abstract

This community service activity is Science and Technology Guidance and Training of Andaliman Plant Seed Germination Process (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) In Sitaratoit Village. Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) Is a wild plant found in North Sumatra, Indonesia, the Rutaceae family. The Batak people use the fruit as a spice in their traditional cuisine. Breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants is the initial treatment of the seeds intended to start the germination process, this effort can be in the form of physical, mechanical or chemical treatment. Andaliman plant germination is a process of growth and development of embryos that undergo changes where the plumula grows and develops into stems and radicles into roots. Dormancy is a state of stopping growth experienced by a living organism or its part in response to a condition that does not support normal growth. Thus, dormancy is a reaction to certain physical or environmental conditions. The trigger of dormancy can be mechanical, physical, or chemical. Specific objectives achieved were the provision of science and technology about breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants to the people of Sitaratoit Village, Guidance to the Sitaratoit villagers about the seed germination process of andaliman plants, and the training of Sitaratoit villagers to cultivate andaliman plants. Specific target achieved is that the Sitaratoit Village Community can implement the cultivation activities of andaliman plants, andaliman plants in the Sitaratoit Village area can provide economic benefits for the community, andaliman plant management and cultivation are more noticed and known by the local community, and increase the percentage of seed germination of andaliman plants. The methods used in achieving the objectives of this activity are Village Potential Survey, Conducting dialogues through FGD program activities (Focuss Group Disscussion.), And Science and Technology based guidance and training. The stages of this activity are the Breaking of the Dormancy Period of the Seeds of Andaliman Plants, the Making of Planting Media for the Sprouts of Andaliman Plants, and the Making of the Andaliman Plant Shade. The results of this community service activity are the provision of science and technology about breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants for 2 days to 18 people of Sitaratoit Village, 3 people from the village administration, and 3 students from private universities who are carrying out street vendors activities. The Sitaratoit Village community guidance about the process of seed germination of andaliman plants for 1 day the following day was also actively followed by the Sitaratoit Village community. And the training of the Sitaratoit Village community to cultivate andaliman plants for 1 day after 40 days later has also been carried out well and actively followed by the Sitaratoit Village community.Keywords : Andaliman, Seed dormancy, Seed germination.

Abstract

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Berdasarkan uji persyaratan analisis data, hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa (1)Hasil analisis uji kelayakan LKS kimia yang ada berdasarkan standar BSNP adalah sebesar 3,84 dilihat dari kriteria validitasnya LKS tersebut Valid dan tidak perlu revisi. (2) Berdasarkan pendapat guru dan dosen terhadap uji kelayakanLKS kimia untuk nilai rata-rata dari semua aspek standar kelayakan berdasarkan BSNP adalah sebesar 3,65 kriteria validitasnya {Valid dan tidak perlu revisi (layak)}. (3) Berdasarkan pendapat guru dan dosen terhadapuji kelayakanLKS kimiadikembangkan berdasarkan rubrik terinternalisasi nilai-nilai karakter siswa menurut pendapat dosen sebesar 4,09 dan guru sebesar 4,17. Kata Kunci      : LKS kimia, nilai karakter siswa, Research and Development
