Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Oktober hingga November 2016. Sampel diambil dari 3 stasiun dengan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali di kawasan perairan Tanjungbalai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 2393 individu yang terdiri dari 6 keluarga dan 14 spesies. Jenis hasil bivalvia adalah Anadara granosa, Anadara gubernaculum, Anadara inaequivalvis, Donax faba, Mactra grandis, Modiolus micropterus, Atrina pectinata, Calista erycina, Calista lilacina, Dosinia dilecta, Mertrix meretrix, Paphia gallus, Paphia undulata, Tapes sulcarius.This research was conducted from October to November 2016. The samples was taken from 3 stations with repeating 3 times in Tanjungbalai Waters of North Sumatra Province. The results of the research was found as many as 2393 individuals consisting of 6 families and 14 species. The type of bivalves results are Anadara granosa, Anadara gubernaculum, Anadara inaequivalvis, Donax faba, Mactra grandis, Modiolus micropterus, Atrina pectinata, Calista erycina, Calista lilacina, Dosinia dilecta, Mertrix meretrix, Paphia gallus, Paphia undulata, Tapes sulcarius.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan, distribusi, polapertumbuhan serta hubungan kelimpahan kepiting bakau Scylla tranquebarica dengan faktor fiskim di Perairan Estuari Suaka Margasatwa Karang Gading Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Pengambilan sampel Kepiting Bakau dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2017 – Februari 2018 dengan menggunakan bubu yang terbuat dari bahan bambu dan besi, dengan diameter 50 cm dan tinggi 15 cm. Pengambilan sampel kepiting bakaudilakukan sebulan sekali sekali mulai jam 08.00 WIB - 18.00 WIB. . Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kelimpahan kepiting bakau paling banyak pada stasiun II dengan nilai 6 ind/m2, distribusi kepiting bakau tergolong ke dalam pola distribusi berkelompok. Pola pertumbuhan kepiting bakau pada tiap stasiunnya di perairan estuari Suaka Margasatwa Karang Gading adalah allometrik negatif. Faktor kondisi kepiting bakau di setiap stasiun secara morfologi memiliki kemontokan yang baik..Kata Kunci: Distribusi, estuari, pola pertumbuhan, Scylla tranquebarica.

Abstract

Mangrove plays an important role in coastal ecosystems from both the ecological, social and economic aspects. Mangrove forests in Lubuk Kertang have been converted in to oil palm plantations, settlements, ponds, mills and mangrove ecotourism. This study aims to determine the diversity of macrozoobenthos and aquatic quality based on the index diversity. This research was conducted in February-March 2017 in area mangrove Lubuk Kertang. Samples of macrozoobenthos were taken from 3 stations. Results showed that, macrozoobenthos found 8 species classified in to 3 classes of Gastropoda, Bivalvia and Malacostraca. The highest abundance of individual was in Station III (34 ind/m2) and the lowest was at Station I (26 ind/m2). The highest Index Diversity is located at Station II (2.39) and the lowest at Station I (2.30). The category of water quality in area mangrove Lubuk Kertang based on the storet method was classified as moderately polluted.Keywords: Area Mangrove, Index Diversity, Macrozoobenthos, Langkat.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the bivalve community structure in the intertidal zone at Sialang Buah Beach and find out the relationship of physical, chemical, substrate factors with bivalve species diversity in Sialang Buah Beach. This research has been done in intertidal zone Sialang Buah beach at March until April 2018. The location of sampling was determined by Purposive Sampling method at 3 stasions. The sampling of bivalvia got from 6 plot of each stasion in intertidal zone. The result from the research was 6 bivalvia species. There are Meretrix meretrix, Meretrix lusoria, Anadara antiquata, Anadara gubernaculum,Glauconome rugosa and Perna viridis. The conciseness was between 21-60 ind/m2, The various was between 1,15-1,35 including medium catagory, the similarity was between 0,71-0,75 the domination was between 0,24-0,44. The correlation of Principal Component Analysis between the various of bivalvie to Nitrat, Fosfat, Do, pH and C-organic was positively. The visibility, temparature, salinity, depth and the current was negative.Keywords : Sialang Buah Beach, Intertidal Zone, Bivalvia, Community Structure, Water Quality

Abstract

This study aimed to identify types of Echinoderms and charactheristics of Echinoderms in Pandaratan Beach. This research was conducted from April to May 2018. The samples was taken from 3 stations with repeating 3 times in Pandaratan Beach Central Tapanuli Regency of North Sumatra Province. The results of the research was found as many as 1472 individuals consisting of 4 classes and 7 species. The type of Echinoderms results are Archaster typicus, Diadema setosum, Lagamun laganum, Holothuria atra, Holothuria leucospilota, Holothuria scabra and Ophiocoma erinaceus.Keywords: Identification, Echinoderms, Pandaratan Beach

Abstract

Sialang Buah Beach is a coastal area which of the waters used by the comunity for doing household activitiy, fishing activity and tours activity. Activities carried out at Sialang Buah Beach will influence gastropods variety and the water quality at the beach. Gastropods as organisms live at the waters are very sensitive to the alteration of water quality where they live. The degradation of water quality will reduce the wealth of natural resources in the waters. This study aimsed to discover gastropods variety as well as waters condition at Sialang Buah Beach District of Serdang Berdagai North Sumatera Province viewed from ABC curve and Storet Index. This Study was conducted between April – May 2018 applying purposive sampling method divided to 3 stations. The result showed that the Index of diversity (H’) was in “modrate” category, index of evennes (E) was in “high” category and index of dominance was in “no dominance”. And according PP No. 82 Year 2001 About The Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control, and by using Storet Index reveal that the water condition at Sialang Buah Beach declared as contamined in “medium” category and based on ABC curve (Abundance and Biomass Comparison) reveal that the water condition declared as contamined in “medium” category with the density curve and the biomass overlapping each other.Key Words: Sialang Buah Beach, Gastropods, ABC Curve, Storet Index

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the abundance of Shellfish in estuary waters of Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve of Deli Serdang Regency, to analyze the growth pattern and condition factors of Shellfish through the analysis of long-term relationship, and to analyze the relationship of abundance of Shellfish with estuary chemical physics chemistry of Karang Gading Wildlife Refuge Deli Serdang. Sampling of Shellfish was done in December 2017 - February 2018 in estuary waters of Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve of Deli Serdang Regency. The analysis for the substrate fraction was done in the Agronomy Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. Sampling of shellfish using claws of iron material having a volume of 0.0495m3. Sampling of shellfish is done once a month starting at 14.00 WIB - 18.00 WIB. The shellfish (Meretrix meretrix) obtained at each station was calculated by the number of individuals, measured by the width of the body shell and body weight, then analyzed which consisted of abundance, distribution, growth pattern, and condition factor. Measurements of physical-chemical water parameters are done directly in the field. The result of this research concludes that the most shell of abundance at station I with 694 ind / m2 value, the distribution of shellfish is classified into uniform distribution pattern. The pattern of growth of shellfish in each of its stations in estuary waters of Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve is negative allometrik. The condition factor of mangrove crab in each station morphologically has good hair.Kata Kunci: Kelimpahan, estuari, pola pertumbuhan, Meretrix meretrix

Abstract

Asahan River is the catching area of shellfish which is the main source of income for fishermen. One shellfish caught is Kepah Shell (Meretrix sp.). The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of growth and the rate of exploitation of Kepah Shell. The research method used is purposive sampling method. The research was done of April until May 2018. The shells obtained consisted of three stations with a total total of 1516. The results showed that the frequency of the shell length was 10-47 mm. The growth pattern of Kepah Shell is allometric negative. The condition factor on station I was 0,09 average, station II averaged 0,12 and station III averaged 0,12. The result of parameter analysis of Kerang Kepah growth consist of growth coefficient (K) that is 1,4 year, infinitive length (L∞) is 45,15 mm, theoretical age of shell at the same length equal to zero (t0) that is -0,10. Analysis of alleged mortality and exploitation rate of Kepah Shell consisting of total mortality (Z) is 5,823/year, natural mortality (M) is 2.015/year, capture mortality (F) is 3,808/year, and rate exploitation (E) is 0.6 (overfishing).Kata Kunci : Muara Sungai Asahan, Kerang Kepah (Meretrix sp.), Pertumbuhan, Laju Eksploitasi

Abstract

Pandaratan Beach is a Beach located in Pondok Batu area, Sarudik Subdistrict, Tapanuli Tengah Regency which is an area that has seagrass beds with various roles in aquatic biota such as bivalves, where seagrass beds function as nurseries, as a place to search feeding ground, and areas to seek protection. The purpose of this study was to determine the bivalve diversity of seagrass beds at Padaratan Beach, carried out in March to April 2018 using purposive sampling method by taking and observing seagrass vegetation based on utilization. Data analysis included seagrass vegetation analysis, bivalve analysis, and water quality analysis. Found 2 types of seagrass with density at Station I 33.81%, Station II 20.27%, and Station III 25.38%. In bivalves 15 species were found at the study site. Bivalve Diversity Index at Station I 2.45, at Station II 2.48, and at Station III 2.43. Bivalvia uniformity index at Station I 0.91, at Station II 0.91, and at Station III 0.90. The bivalve dominance index at Station I was 0.07, at Station II 0.07, and at Station III 0.05. The relationship between seagrass density and density with bivalve diversity has a strong relationship, and shows that any increase in seagrass density affects the addition of bivalve species.Kata kunci: Bivalvia, lamun, keanekaragaman, pantai pandaratan.

Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) included to the family of Cichlidae. Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) has economic value for humans, Tilapia could found in freshwater. The poor water quality could impact to the growth of the fish. One of the causes of the decrease water quality in aquatic environment were the waste from activities around the water, such as agricultural’s waste. The used of insecticide of chlorpyrifos could causes the accumulation of chlorpyrifos in the soil and then carried by water into the water body that would pollute the water body. This research aimed to determine the value of LC50-96 hours & LT50-96 hours of the used of chlorpyrifos on the mortality of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and the impact of toxicity in chlorpyrifos toward tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research was conducted between March 2018 and April 2018 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture and Aquatic Biology. Test results showed that the value of LC50-96 Hours were 0.29 ppm and LT50-96 Hours were 12 hours. The highest survival result was obtained at 0.0063 ppm with score 93.33% and the lowest result was at 9.9096 ppm with score 3.33%. The result of water quality still in good condition.Keywords: Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Klorpirifos Insecticide, LC50, LT50.
