Abstract

 Refinery Unit (RU) V is a processing company owned by PT XYZ located in Balikpapan. Refinery Unit V has twelve warehouses with four warehouses being the main focus in this research of RGM, RMS, RIN, and RSP used to store products for refinery maintenance processes. In the initial conditions, there is a delay in traveling searching activities. The occurrence of delay in traveling searching activity caused by the absence of details of the product location clearly. The proposed product allocation is using Interaction Frequency Heuristic-Order Oriented Slotting method. The last step is to create a new layout for each RU V warehouse.The first step is to calculate the cycle time for each work order list by calculating the distance between the storage point with the point of I / O based on the aisle distance calculation. Next is to compare between the cycle time of each work order list with the standard time of the warehouse, so it will know the percentage of work order list that experienced delay for one year. Next, allocate product storage based on the popularity value of the product and the value of the interaction frequency between the products. The final step is to simulate using new work order list based on the proposed allocation layout to know the effect of change from the proposed layout. The result of this research is a new layout for each warehouse. All stock taking performance are better than the standard time while the exisiting condition violate the standard time.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a pasteurization milk processing company that produce milk drink from pure cow milk. PT. XYZ don’t sell their product directly to end user, instead they distribute their product to many companies which serve milk for their employees or operators in lunch time. So, their customer is mostly a manufacture company from various kinds of industry. They have about 40 customers and most of them are outside Bandung. However, the delivery may not be done as planned. The average on time delivery is around 96%. it is below PT. XYZ target which is 98%. The impact of the delay itself is vary between customers. Because when delay occur, each customer has their own regulation that has been settled in agreement contract. Based on the delay recapitulation above, there are several factors that caused this problem. Delay in departure is the most influential factors. It is because PT. XYZ don’t have fixed schedule of delivery and they miscalculate the departure time because of improper route determination that also leads to longer travel time. This case is categorized as Vehicle Routing Problem with Heterogeneous Fleet and Time Window (VRPHFTW) that will be solved using one of meta-heuristics algorithm which is Two Phase Tabu Search Algorithm to minimize travel distance. In the end, the travel distance can be minimized 19.48%.

Abstract

XYZ Company is distributor that focused on distributes floor and wall tiles ceramic. XYZ Company has its own warehouse for storing finished good with Last In First Out (LIFO) rotation. XYZ Company’s warehouse has area of 12,312 m2 with floor stack system. The issued that currently raised is warehouse condition that is overcapacity so several SKUs are stored out of the block even placed outside the warehouse. The impact of overcapacity are accessibility problem, storage and retrieval activities are hampered, and damaged product. In addition, the allocation of higher throughput items were not placed near to the input/output point so the material handling went through long travel to do its activities and it caused higher total travel distance. This research focuses on determining the warehouse layout to increase warehouse storage capacity and reduce travel distance. The procedure to solve the issue will be done by redesign warehouse layout with heuristic approach method. The objective are a combination of lanes depths and storage zones to increase the warehouse storage capacity by considering throughput of each SKU. The next step is allocate the items so it can reduces the monthly travel distance. Based on proposed design layout, obtained the warehouse capacity increase by 35.53% or as much as 5,319 pallet positions and monthly travel distance is decreased by 24.58% or 216,032 meters.

Abstract

In the process of transportation it is very in accordance with the route, the route the mode / vehicle goes to the destination. Route about the number of vehicles and which locations are passed. PT XYZ is a company engaged in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), with fields that make the flow of goods going higher so that the distribution of goods becomes fast and frequent. The distribution process is carried out using 1 fleet in each customer. Currently in the process of distributing goods, companies still use utilities that are used, so that the availability of empty space in capacity still occurs and this makes transportation costs high. Combining (considering) some customers is possible, while considering the time window, capacity and some products. This study discusses the route by considering various constraints to get the route, the number of vehicles, increasing the utility of each vehicle and the optimal distance so as to minimize transportation costs. Using a genetic algorithm that is preceded by the nearest neighbour algorithm is used to resolve this complication. Later the route will be formed and get the number of vehicles, increase the number of vehicles and the optimal distance. These results make an increase in vehicle utility by an average of 35.317%, an increase in the number of vehicles by 34.05%, and a distance of 10.075% thus saving transportation costs by 26.56% from the initial conditions.

Abstract

Pembentukan industri yang berkelanjutan menjadi hal krusial bagi perusahaan penyamakan kulit di Indonesia, hal tersebut dikarenakan industri penyamakan kulit di Indonesia mengalami ke-naikan pada indeks limbah produksi di tahun 2016 dan 2017. Peraturan pemerintah menyatakan bahwa industri harus memanfaatkan sumber daya dengan cara yang berkelanjutan,peraturan tersebut mengharuskan perusahaan meningkatkan pencapaian dalam menerapkan aspek sus-tainability didalam proses bisnisnya. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada pengukuran nilai kinerja sustainable production di PT. ELCO dengan menggunakansupply chain operations reference (SCOR) sebagai media untuk memilih key performance indicators (KPI) sustainable production. KPI terpilih diverifikasi oleh perusahaandan dilakukan pembobotan menggunakan metode analytical hierarchy process (AHP), kemudian dinormalisasi nilai kinerjanya menggunakan Snorm De Boer normalization. Nilai KPI yang telah diukur didapatkan sebesar 48,63 yang mengindikasikan bahwa kinerja dari penerapan sustainable production oleh perusahaan, dalam posisi marginal performance. Hasil pengukuran nilai KPI, ditampilkan pada suatu aplikasi sistem monitoring berbasis web untuk memfasilitasi perusahaan dalam melakukan identifikasi, pemantauan, dan evaluasi dari kinerja perusahaan dalam menerapkan sistem sustainable production.
