Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Makassar dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing dan pendekatan Saintifik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Wahyu Makassar yang terdiri dari 5 kelas, dengan penyebaran yang homogen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Dimana kelas yang menjadi sampel adalah kelas VIIC dengan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas VIIB dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes essai dengan jumlah 5 soal. Tekhnik pengolahan data dan analisis data adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistk inferensial.  Setelah diberikan perlakuan pada kedua kelompok diperoleh hasil analisis statistika deskriptif rata-rata komunikasi matematis kelompok yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing sebesar = 73,5 sedangkan rata-rata komunikasi matematis kelompok yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik sebesar = 69,25. Hasil analisis inferensial data menunjukkan bahwa nilais ignifikansi yang diperoleh thitung 2,58 >ttabel 2,024 dan signifikansi (0,000 < 0,05). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta dididk pada kelas VII di SMP Wahyu Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Matematik-logis dan Spasial terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negri 4 Sungguminasa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negri 4 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa yang berjumlah 90 orang. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Angket (kusioner) yang diberikan, sebanyak 22 item peryataan. Dokumentasi di sini maksudkan untuk memastikan mengenai hasil belajar matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil gambaran kecerdasan matematik logis siswa berada pada kategori rendah sebanyak 12%, kategori sedang sebanyak 71%, dan pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 17% , kecerdasan spasial 11 % katagori rendah, 78 % katagori sedang ,dan 11% katagori tinggi, Sedangkan gambaran hasil belajar matematika siswa berada pada kategori rendah sebanyak 3%, kategori sedang 82% dan pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 14% sehingga secara umum tingkat hasil belajar matematika berada pada katagori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial kecerdasan matematik logis dan spasial berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa. Sumbangsi pengaruh variabel kecerdasan matematik logis dan spasial 56% sedangkan selebihnya 44% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the effect of formative assessment type towards the learning achievement of Natural Sciences. This study applied 2 x 2 factorial design experimental methods. The population of the research was all the fift grade students of elementary school number 03 and 05 of Rawamangun Eastern Jakarta, with 80 students as sample, implementing inferential statistic assessment with ANCOVA. The result of the study showed that (1) having controlled the students prior knowledge, the learning achievement of Natural Sciences of the group, which was given essay test formative assessment was different from the achievement of those with multiple choice test, (2) having controlled the students prior knowledge, the learning achievement of Natural Sciences of the group which was given essay test formative assessment was higher than the group in multiple choice test.

Abstract

This paper theoretically deals some aspects related to Differential Item Functioning (DIF), consisting of Test and Test Bias. The purpose of this is to describe the importance of understanding Different Item Functioning or to discuss its existence. Based on the theoretical connotation of DIF, it can be inferred that DIF may be used to make sure whether or not a bias item of a test exists. For example, a test item shows the existence of DIF when the tested from different group having the same ability do not have the same opportunity to answer the item correctly. Therefore, understanding the DIF, a teacher may avoid item bias on a test to exist.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the theoretical concept, classification, and the imple-mentation of homeschooling in Indonesia. The discussion of homeschooling was in the perspective of child development. The conclusion based on the theoretical concept describes that it was an educational form which was done independently by family, and the learning materials were choosen in accordance with the chil-dren need. The homeschooling classification forms was divided into two forms namely single home schooling which was conducted independently by parents in one family withought collaborating with aothers.Compound homeschooling was conducted by two or more families for certain activities, but the main activities re-main to be implemented by the respective parents. Homeschooling was an educa-tion for the children who performed at home and was specifically provided by a parent or a professional tutor. Homeschooling in practice was to move the school from the public area to a more private area, which was home.

Abstract

The performance and competence of a teacher has been an important point to discuss due to the fact that it can be a legal aspect in designing and developing performance and competence of teachers. Performance is the extent to which a teacher has achieved in terms of working responsibility, in other word, a teacher’s working achievement. Hence, teachers with high performance are those who master teaching material and the method of teaching. Teacher’s performance can be assessed by three indicators: the mastery of teaching material, teaching management, and working commitment. While the teacher’s competences based on the Constitution number 14/2005 are pedagogic competence, personal, social and professional competence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of intensity of formative assessment of science learning outcomes. Experimental studies with the study population was all students in grade V SD 03, and 05 am in East Jakarta, 80 samples of students, inferential statistical testing with the conclusion of the study are: (1). By controlling the initial knowledge of science students, there is a difference between the groups of students studying science are given formative assessment on each face to face with groups of students are given formative assessment on each standara competence (2). By controlling the students prior knowledge of science, science learning outcomes of students who were given group of formative assessment on each face is higher than the group of students who were in the formative assessment of each competency standard. Keywords: intensity of formative assessment, science, learning outcomes, and previous knowledge.

Abstract

This paper discusses the provision of a summary as one component of the learning strategy that plays an important role in improving learning outcomes optimally. Summaries can be done at the beginning of learning, and can also be given at the end of the lesson. Giving a summary at the beginning of learning, work gives an overview on the learner about the content of the material will be presented, and help learners to determine attitudes toward the content of these materials will be presented. While granting summary of a presentation made at the end, serves to review the main ideas of the material that has been presented so that there is an opportunity for students to recall material that has been presented it. So the summary is a component of a strategy that includes all the content areas of study are important, such as understanding ¬-brief understanding of the concepts, procedures, or principles learned. There are five types of summaries are often used in learning, namely: verbal summary, summary charts, summary tabulations, summary groves, Summary schematic. While giving a summary of strategies that are often used, namely: learners is asked to make a summary of what has been taught, and learners is asked to make a summary of what has been read to show a better performance. Abstract

This study aims to determine; 1) Development of professional competence of lecturer at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar; 2) Lecturer Motivation at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar; 3) Improving professional competence Lecturer Commitment to Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar, to improve professional competence. This research use case study approach. This research data source is 1. human element and 2. non human element, research instrument is researcher own function as a key instrument. Qualitative research data is narrative and data analysis techniques applied through three lines: 1. Data reduction, 2. Presentation of data, and 3. drawing conclusions. The validity of data is done four testing criteria, namely 1. Credibility, 2. Dependability, 3. Transferability, and 4. Confirmability.The research findings are; 1. Motivation model of lecturers who can improve their professional competence, that is because of the encouragement from within the lecturers and from outside the lecturers themselves. The encouragement from within the lecturer is the clarity of the lecturer's career in the structural position, as well as the functional position of the lecturer. While the encouragement from outside the lecturers who are very influential in terms of achievement and mastering professional competence is the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and UG Teachers Alauddin Makassar. 2) The commitment model of a lecturer who can improve their professional competence is the dedication and service of the foundation of commitment. Therefore, to create a commitment of a lecturer to be synergy and intact buildings then the Dean of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar must empower all lecturers, by involving lecturers in important decision making through Faculty senate. 3) Increasing the competence of professional lecturers will be beneficial to improve their professionalism in improving the quality of education. Therefore, the Quality Assurance Institution (LPM) is also considered to be very instrumental in increasing the professional competence of a lecturer. A lecturer needs to be equipped with new knowledge and diligence so that the lecturer can produce quality output
