Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and lecturer’s assertive behavior with foreign language anxiety experienced by university student. The population in this study was the students of the Department of English Education, State Institute for Islamic Studies Langsa. The samples were selected by using Stratified Random Sampling technique and sorted 147 students in semester 2, 4, and 6 that spread proportionally. The data were collected by using Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS), self-efficacy scale, and lecturer’s assertive behavior scale. The data, then, were analyzed by multivariate linear regression. The result showed that self-efficacy and lecturer’s assertive behavior significantly contributed to foreign language anxiety. The effective contribution of self-efficacy and lecturer’s assertive behavior to foreign language anxiety was 58,4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause actions Delinquency child, family influences the childs misbehavior, and the communitys role in tackling the problem of delinquency in the village of Lau Cih district of Medan Tuntungan. This study uses qualitative descriptive by the number of all children aged population is aged 13 -17 years totaling 65 people. Then the sample in this study is taken whole from the total population that is numbered 65 people or also called total sample. In the process of collecting data the author uses observation, questionnaires, and interviews. To analyze the data that have been collected in this research is to use a frequency table with a percentage formula. From the results of research in the field after the data are collected, processed and analyzed, then produce research findings that background action delinquency is due to lack of attention and supervision from parents where parents who are too busy with work so that children no longer receive the attention and affection of family. Aside from the family environment, community environment is also one of the factors that affect the child. Where the childs living environment is not a good environment for your children, so that children are affected and take action delinquency without warning and awareness of the local community.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna penggunaan hijab syar’i pada mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, khususnya pada organisasi Forum Mahasiswa Islam (Formasi) Psikologi Ar-Ruuh, untuk mengetahun konsep diri yang terbentuk pada mahasiswa yang memakai hijab syar’i dan pendapat orang lain tentang mahasiswa yang menggunakan hijab syar’i. Penelitian ini adalah penelitan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kegiatan observasi lapangan, telaah pustaka, wawancara dengan responden dan informan dengan menggunakan analisa semiotik. Hasil riset menunjukkan bahwa pengguna hijab syar’i menganggap bahwa hijab sebagai pelindung dari tatapan laki-laki yang bukan muhrim. Secara tidak langsung, mengajarkan kepada perempuan muslim lainnya kebaikan dan kegunaan dari menggunakan hijab. Selanjutnya, konsep diri dari penggunan hijab syar’i terbentuk dengan belajar dari lingkungan. Pelajaran dan pengalaman yang didapat membuat konsep diri yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find out whether the storybook or the Kancil fairy tale influences the imitating behavior of the Sunggal 41 ABA 41 Kindergarten students and sees how storytellers are very influential in conveying the message content of a story. This research method uses descriptive, which is taking a problem or focusing on actual problems as they were at the time the research was conducted. The description in this study was to see the imitating behavior of the Sunggal 41 ABA Kindergarten students. The results of the study found that fairy tales or stories of the Kancil can enrich knowledge by recognizing various types of animals that are used as characters in a story or fairy tale or in increasing children's understanding of good and bad things. Children who tend to not be able to focus on one thing / object in a certain period of time are challenges and homework that the teacher must overcome when telling stories / storytelling. Short time and schedule of storytelling / storytelling activities obtained at school are not enough to-create-imitating-behaviors-of-children.
