Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of group guidance in improving students self-esteem SMAN 1 Cariu Bogor. The research method used is quantitative method with quasi-experiment approach. The study population was 148 students of class X. Samples taken by using sample quota samples were 16 students, divided into two groups; experimental groups and control groups. Self-esteem instruments are used to find out the students self-esteem level by 20 items. Data analysis techniques using percentage of questionnaire results. The conclusion of this research is the effective group counseling service in improving students self-esteem.Keywords: guidance group, self-esteem.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know how much contribution given by information services in counseling and locus of control toward communication between parents and children. This research is a quantitative research using survey. This research was conducted in Komunitas Bunda Condet. The sample for this study came to 44 people taken by saturated sample distribution technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using multiple regression test with the help of SPSS 22 for windows. The results showed that information services and locus of control contribute to communication between parents and children. These results prove that communication quality can be improved by taking into account information services and locus of control.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to find out whether the group guidance services could improve students social interaction. This research uses a quantitative approach through experiment. In this study, the subjects from the study were 26 students divided into an experimental group of 13 students and control group of 13 students. Data collected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed that social interaction ability of experiment class students can be improved after receiving group guidance service. As for the control class which was not given group guidance service, the result showed that the level of social interaction ability did not increase significantly. These results illustrate that social interaction can be enhanced through group guidance services.

Abstract

This research aims to know the tendency of cheating, the dominant indicator which causes the behavior of cheating, the effective factor of cheating, the category of dominant background which supports the behavior of cheating and the effect of cheating among pupils and students. The research used several methodologies such as case study, survey, experiment in which the research examines the hypothesis stating the correlation between independent variable and dependent variable. Then, the survey was developed based on research of explanatory and confirmatory. The data was collected by conducting interview, observation and questionnaire. The experiment method was also used to implement the main instrument techniques and the sub-main in the way of learning, self-motivating, technique of material mastery, self-developing and self-understanding as well as self-reconstructing. The result of research showed that the effective factor of students’ cheating behavior tendency was very strong. Based on the data, the behavior of cheating can happen because of the opportunity and availability. It was promoted by the wrong self-conception regardless of religion ,environment and role model. In other words, the closed role models were very effective to determine the choice of behavior.Keywords: Attitude, student, student university, cheat.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is starting from tendency of negative attitude and negative student’s habits. The purpose of this research producing group mentoring programme to develop student’s learning attitude and habits, and to compile the program researcher require a profil of student’s attitude and student’s learning habit. Method used is qualitative and quantitative with action research strategy. Data collection is carried out with attitude inventory, habits inventory, interview and observation.The result obtained are negative attitude in learning, specifically for attitude to task, attitude to teacher, attitude in class and attitude of facing examination. In addition, students habits in learning are still negative in particular habit of using his/her free time.This research recommended the group mentoring programme as reference and guidelines to enchance student’s learning attitude and habits. Key words: The guidance group., attitude., Learning habits
