Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to know the difficulties experienced by students who have visual learning style in solving the problem (2) to know the difficulties experienced by students who have an auditory learning style in solving the problem (3) to know Difficulties experienced by students who have kinesthetic learning style in solving problems This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. This study obtained data from questionnaire learning style, writing test math problems and interview results to students. Data analysis techniques by reducing data presents data and draw conclusions. The validity of the findings is checked using triangulation and peer examination. The results of this study are students experiencing 4 types of difficulty in solving problems based on learning style that is (1) difficulty in linguistic skill, (2) difficulties in perceptual skill, (3) difficulties in mathematic skill, (4) difficulty in atentic skill. For students with visual learning styles experiencing difficulties in mathematical skills and atential skills in solving problems, students with auditory learning styles have difficulty in linguistic skills, difficulties in perceptual and atential skills in solving problems, students with kinesthetic learning styles tend to have difficulty in linguistic skills And atent in solving problems.

Abstract

Mathematical model has many benefits in life, especially the development of science and application to other fields. The mathematical model seeks to represent real-life problems formulated mathematically to get the right solution. This research is the application of mathematical models in the field of biology that examines the interaction of the two populations that host populations and parasitoid populations. This study differs from previous studies that examine the interaction of two more species that prey and predators where predators kill prey quickly. In this study the parasitoid population slowly killing the host population by living aboard and take food from the host population it occupies. In this study of differential equations are used to construct a mathematical model was particularly focused on the stability of the local mathematical model of interaction of two differential equations that host and parasitoid populations. Stability discussed in this study are stable equilibrium points are obtained from the characteristic equation systems of differential equations host and parasitoid interactions. Type the stability of the equilibrium point is determined on the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix. Analysis of stability is obtained by determining the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix around equilibrium points. Having obtained the stable equilibrium points are then given in the form of charts and portraits simulation phase to determine the behavior of the system in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the number of female residents in Trenggalek Regency in 2021 based on data on birth rate and life expectancy. The use of eigenvalues and eigenvectors aims to determine the dividing age distribution by Leslie matrix model. The eigenvectors are used to determine the number of female populations of each age interval, while the eigenvalues are used to determine population growth rates. The research method used is to determine the subject of research. The next stage is to collect research data, then analyze the data and last draw conclusions. The research data is obtained from BPS Kabupaten Trenggalek and BPS East Java Province that is data of woman population from year 2010-2015. The result of this research using Leslie matrix model for female population in Trenggalek Regency that is discrete model. The discrete model is divided into fourteen age intervals constructed using the birthrate and life expectancy. The conclusions of the study showed that the number of female population in Trenggalek Regency tended to increase with positive eigen value greater than one. In other words, the growth rate of female population in Trenggalek Regency tends to be positive. The success of Leslies matrix model is the application of case studies in predicting the number of female populations in Trenggalek District by 2021 using the MAPLE 16 Program.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical literacy in solving PISA problems with Adversity Quotient (AQ) type of Climber, Camper, and Quitter. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a form of case study research. The subjects of this study were students of class IX 1 of SMP Negeri 3 Tulungagung who had AQ types of climber, camper, and quitter. Data collection was carried out by giving Stoltz's modified ARP questionnaire to determine research subjects, PISA test questions, and interview. Data were analyzed using a Miles and Huberman’s model, which include: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/ verification. The results of this study indicate that mathematical literacy ability of Climber‘s student is at 5th level, which was shown to be able to solve PISA problems of 1st level to 5th level and not right in solving of 6th level. Mathematical literacy ability of Camper’s student is at 4th level, which was shown to be able to solve PISA problems of 1st level to 4th level and not right in solving of 5th level and 6th level. Mathematical literacy ability of Quitter’s student is at 4th level, which was shown to be able to solve PISA problems of 1st level to 4th level, besides that it was not right in solving of 5th level and not able to solving of 6th level.

Abstract

Fokus dalam penelitian ini adalah” bagaimanakah kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi limit fungsi ditinjau dari koneksi matematis siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pakel Tulungagung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.” Pendekatan yang digunakan  adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Pakel kelas XI IPA 3 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes materi limit fungsi dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yakni pada subjek yang memiliki tingkat koneksi matematis tinggi cenderung tidak memiliki kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Pada tingkat koneksi matematis sedang , siswa cenderung mengalami kesulitan pada penerapan prinsip dan menyelesaikan masalah verbal. Dan pada tingkat kemampuan koneksi matematis rendah siswa cenderung mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal limit fungsi yaitu pada pemahaman konsep, penerapan prinsip dan masalah verbal.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan banyaknya populasi wanita di Provinsi Jawa Timur berdasarkan angka kelahiran dan harapan hidup menggunakan nilai eigen dan vektor eigen serta untuk mengetahui distribusi umur pembatas menggunakan model matriks Leslie. Vektor eigen digunakan untuk menentukan banyaknya populasi wanita dari masing-masing interval umur, sedangkan nilai eigen digunakan untuk menentukan laju pertumbuhan penduduk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada Tahap pertama adalah menentukan subjek penelitian dan Tahap Kedua adalah (a) mengumpulkan data penelitian (b) analisis data dan terakhir menarik kesimpulan. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari BPS Provinsi Jawa Timur yaitu jumlah penduduk wanita dari tahun 2010-2015. Hasil penelitian ini adalah model matriks Leslie untuk populasi wanita di Provinsi Jawa Timur adalah model diskrit yang dibagi atas empat belas interval umur yang dikonstruksi menggunakan angka kesuburan dan harapan hidup. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah populasi wanita di Provinsi Jawa Timur cenderung mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai eigen positif yang lebih besar dari satu atau dengan kata lain laju pertumbuhan wanita di Provinsi Jawa Timur cenderung bernilai positif . Keberhasilan model matriks Leslie adalah penerapannya dalam kasus untuk memprediksi jumlah populasi wanita di Provinsi Jawa Timur pada tahun 2021 dengan menggunakan Program MAPLE 16.  Application of The Leslie Matrix on Birth Rate and Life Expectancy of Women in East Java Province Abstract   This research aimed to determine the number of female population in East Java Province based on birth rate and life expectancy using eigenvalues and eigenvectors and to know the age distribution of limiter using Leslie matrix model. The eigenvectors are used to determine the number of female populations of each age interval, while the eigenvalues are used to determine population growth rates. The research method used in the first phase is to determine the subject of research and Phase Two is (a) collect research data (b) data analysis and last draw conclusions. The data of this study were obtained from BPS of East Java Province, namely the number of female population from 2010-2015. The result of this research is Leslies matrix model for female population in East Java Province is a discrete model that is divided into fourteen age intervals constructed using fertility and life expectancy. The research conclusion showed that the number of female population in East Java Province tends to increase with positive eigen value which is greater than one or in other words the growth rate of women in East Java Province tends to be positive. The success of Leslies matrix model is its application in cases to predict the number of female populations in East Java Province by 2021 using the MAPLE 16 Programe.

Abstract

Jembrana disease (JD) is contagious viral disesase in Bali cattle, caused by Retrovirus from member of Lentivirus group called by Jembrana disease virus (JDV). Jembrana disease outbreak in Bengkalis district first occured 2013 and until now is endemic. This purpose of study is to determine the prevalence of JD and to identify a risk factor associated with JD in Bengkalis district.

Abstract

Bruselosis adalah penyakit hewan menular yang secara primer menyerang sapi, kambing, babi dan sekunder menyerang berbagai jenis hewan lainnya serta manusia. Pada sapi penyakit ini dikenal pula sebagai penyakit keluron menular atau penyakit Bang (Bang disease) (Anonimus, 2014). Provinsi Riau dinyatakan bebas bruselosis berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pertanian Nomor : 2541/Kpts/PD.610/6/2009 Tentang Pernyataan Provinsi Sumatera Barat, Riau, Jambi dan Kepulauan Riau Bebas dari Penyakit Hewan Keluron Menular (Brucellosis) pada Sapi dan Kerbau.PT. X adalah sebuah perusahaan sawit yang berada di dua lokasi yaitu di Desa Bina Baru Kabupaten Kampar dan Desa Libo Jaya Kabupaten Siak. Di kedua lokasi perusahaan tersebut terdapat peternakan sapi yang dikelola oleh 1 orang manajer peternakan dan 1 orang petugas kesehatan hewan yang bertanggung jawab untuk kedua peternakan, dibantu oleh pekerja kendang pada setiap peternakan. Pada akhir Maret 2018 telah dilakukan uji RBT terhadap sampel dari peternakan PT. X Desa Bina Baru yang diperoleh hasil positif.Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan (1) penelusuran terhadap hasil pengujian positif (+) RBT sampel yang diuji di laboratorium UPT Rumah Sakit Hewan Dinas Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan Provinsi Riau, (2) mencari sumber penularan dan faktor risiko masuknya bruselosis ke Kabupaten Kampar, (3) untuk mengidentifikasi pola penyebaran bruselosis di Kabupaten Kampar, (4) memberikan rekomendasi pengendalian outbreak.

Abstract

INTRODUCTIONZoonotic control program can not only be done by one sector only, but must involve related sectors so that handling can be done comprehensively. Since 2016 Bengkalis Disctrict has been chosen as one of project area of One Health on prevention and control of targeted emerging infectious diseases and targeted zoonotic, especially rabies. 3 steps of training have been conducted for public health officers, animal health officer and wildlife health officer who served in Bengkalis District.The absence of an information system on rabies-transmitted animal bites cases that can be accesed by officers from these three sectors has hampered the communication process which is the first step in implementing rabies prevention and control activities. Therefore we need a media that can bridge officers from the animal health, public health and wildlife health sector in communicating related cases of rabies-transmitted animal bites. As one of the output of One Health project, a whatsapp messanger grup, named “One Health Riau” have been created for all the field officers from the three sector to help them to communicate.This study aims to provide an overview of the use of whatsapp messenger to communicate, coordinate and also to evaluate field officers in the handling of rabies-transmitted animal bite cases in Bengkalis District during March to May 2018.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan proyeksi pertumbuhan penduduk di Kabupaten Tulungagung provinsi Jawa Timur dengan model persamaan diferensial Verhulst berdasarkan laju pertumbuhan dan daya tampung (carrying capacity). Target khusus dari hasil penelitian ini adalah model pertumbuhan logistik bisa digunakan sebagai alat untuk mengetahui proyeksi pertumbuhan penduduk berdasarkan laju pertumbuhan dan daya tampung dibeberapa daerah di Indonesia. Metode riset yang digunakan pada tahap pertama adalah menentukan subjek penelitian dan tahap Kedua adalah (1) mengumpulkan data penelitian (2) analisis data dan terakhir menarik kesimpulan. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari BPS Kabupaten Tulungagung yaitu jumlah penduduk dari tahun 2010-2016. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Besarnya nilai carrying capacity yang membatasi penduduk di Kabupaten Tulungagung adalah sebesar 1.089.103,3. 2) Laju pertumbuhan intrinsik penduduk di kabupaten Tulungagung dengan menggunakan Model pertumbuhan logistik adalah sebesar r = 0,07480. 3) Jumlah penduduk di Kabupaten Tulungagung pada tahun 2025 dari hasil estimasi menggunakan model pertumbuhan logistik adalah sebesar 1.055.578 jiwa. 4) Proyeksi jumlah penduduk di Kabupaten Tulungagung  lebih tepat menggunakan model logistik I dengan persamaannya . Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi semua pihak khususnya pada bidang matematika terapan serta metode dalam  menghitung pertumbuhan populasi di suatu daerah pada periode yang akan datang. [This study aims to determine the projected population growth in Tulungagung Regency of East Java province with a model of Verhulst differential equations based on growth rate and carrying capacity. The specific target of this research is logistic growth model can be used as a tool to know the projection of population growth based on growth rate and capacity in some regions in Indonesia. Research methods used in the first stage is to determine the subject of research and the second stage is (1) collect research data (2) data analysis and last draw conclusions. The data of this research is obtained from BPS of Tulungagung Regency that is population from 2010-2016. The results showed that: 1) The amount of carrying capacity that limits the population in Tulungagung Regency is equal 1.089.103,3. 2) The intrinsic growth rate of the population in Tulungagung district using the logistic growth model is r = 0,07480 3) The population in Tulungagung District in 2025 from the estimation using the logistic growth model is 1.055.578 soul, 4) The projection of population in Tulungagung is more appropriate using the logistic model I with the equation .  This study is expected to be useful for all parties, especially in the field of applied mathematics and methods in calculating population growth in an area in the period to come.]
