Abstract

The research about fishes diversity in Lebak Jungkal waters in Pampangan District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in rainy and dry season was conducted on February till July 2013. The aim of this research were to analyzed diversity index and Evenness index of fishes  in Lebak Jungkal in rainy and dry season. Fish samples were collected using purposive random sampling method. The obtained samples were count for species and individual number of each species as a basis for estimating the diversity and evenness indexes. During rainy season, as much as 3,406 fish individuals were caught and were identified into 17 fish species, while a sum of 2,019 individuals were collected in dry season and were placed into 14 fish species. The result of diversity index (H’) categorized intermediet and diversity index (H’) in dry season (0.142-1.754) was lower than rainy season (1.862-2.008). Otherwise, Evenness index (E) in dry season (0.566-0.604) more evenly distributed than rainy season (0.061-0.625).

Abstract

The objective of the rearch was to collect information about fish species diversity in upper end of Cikanini River in Gunung Halimun National Park (GHNP), for conservation that is suitable with the status of GHNP a a conservation area in West Java. The research had been conducted in the upper end of Cikanini River, in Citalahab and Cilanggar Village areas during September 1999. The research used survey method. The catching of fish was done from down stream to upper end of Cikanini River wirh difference kinds of sampling method. The result of the research was 9 fish species that had been identified. There was 33.3% of fish species greater than the result of previous research. Fish spesies was dominated by Rasbora aprotaenia. Difference kinds of sampling method are inclined to catch difference fish pecimens. Sampling method using seine net is inclined to catch more specimens. Sampling method using Derris is inclined to catch all species of fish that exist in the fish habitat; however, the number of specimens is lesser than sampling method using seine net. Sampling methods using push net and electric fishing result in a very effective catching in location with rapid current in the middle of river.

Abstract

Persediaan spesies ikan saat banjir di Desa Meranjat Tanjung Batu, Ogan Ilir Kabupaten Sumatera Selatan berlangsung dari November sampai bulan Desember 2001. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui spesies ikan saat banjir di Desa Meranjat. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua tahap, langkah pertama adalah ikan menangkap, tahap kedua adalah klasifikasi ikan yang ekonomis dan tidak bernilai ekonomis. Dari penelitian, itu dikenali 13 spesies, 9 keluarga dan 5 orde. Hasilnya dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan mereka adalah Labyrinthicy dan Ostaryophysi yakni Ophiochepalus striatus serta Cryptopterus mycronema. Spesies yang semakin sedikit ditemukan/jarang adalah orde Synbranchia, yakbi Fluta alba dan Ophiochepalus mycropeltes dari orde Labyrinthicy. Spesies yang umum ditemukan adalah orde Ostaryophysi yakni Rasbora argyrotaenia.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai fekunditas ikan Bilih (Mystacoleucus padangensis Blkr.) yang masuk ke muara sungai di sekitar Danau Singkarak telah dilakukan pada bulan November 2001 sampai bulan Januari 2002. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui fekunditas ikan Bilih di muara sungai sekitar Danau Singkarak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan purposive random sampling. Pengambilan sampel ikan dilakukan di tiga stasiun, yaitu di muara Sungai Saning Bakar (Stasiun I), muara Sungai Paninggahan (Stasiun II), dan muara Sungai Sumpur (Stasiun III). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fekunditas mutlak ikan Bilih di muara sungai sekitar Danau Singkarak berkisar 880 - 4.723 butir/individu dengan kisaran rata-rata 1.495 - 3.397 butir/individu yang menunjukkan potensi telur yang dihasilkan untuk pemijahan ikan Bilih.

Abstract

Research about the food habits and feeding habits of Barramundi (Lates calcarifer Block) in Terusan Dalam (inside canal) waters, East coast of South Sumatera Province, had been done during March to June 2012. The purpose of this research was to analyze the food habits and feeding habits of  Barramundi (Lates calcarifer Block) on Terusan Dalam (inside canal) waters, East coast of South Sumatera Province. Sampling method of the fish was purposive sampling method using Tangsi net. The results of this research showed that the number of fish from March to June totaled 31 individuals of fish. Based on the Relative Importance Index (RII), the natural food of Barramundi (Lates calcarifer Block) in March to June 2012 consisted of shrimp as the main food with the Relative Importance Index 72.37-99.51%, the fish was as the complement food with the Relative Importance Index 11.33-27.63%, and as the additional food was the worm with Relative Importance Index 0.49%.Keywords: Barramundi, food habits, feeding habits

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai aspek reproduksi ikan Kakap putih (L. calcarifer Block) di Perairan Terusan Dalam kawasan Taman Nasional Sembilang Pesisir Kabupaten Banyuasin telah dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai Juni 2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek reproduksi ikan Kakap putih (L. calcarifer Block) yang meliputi hubungan panjang-berat, rasio kelamin, tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG), indeks kematangan gonad (IKG), fekunditas dan diameter telur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat tangkap jaring tangsi yaitu jaring dengan mata jala berdiameter 3-4 inchi dan berukuran 100-500 meter yang dipasang menutupi sebagian perairan sepanjang aliran sungai dengan tinggi jaring berkisar antara 5 - 15 m dengan sistem pemasangan zig-zag. Jumlah ikan Kakap putih yang diperoleh dari bulan Maret sampai bulan Juni berjumlah 31 ekor. Pola pertumbuhan ikan Kakap putih (L. calcarifer Block) bersifat allometrik negatif. Ikan Kakap putih (L. calcarifer Block) termasuk ikan hermaprodit protandri yaitu sifat perubahan kelamin dari jantan menjadi betina. Tidak ditemukan ikan Kakap putih berjenis kelamin betina. Tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG) ikan Kakap putih (L. calcarifer Block) berdasarkan sampel dikelompokkan menjadi TKG I, II, dan III dengan kisaran indeks kematangan gonad (IKG) antara 0,0012 % sampai 0,006 %.

Abstract

The research about fishes diversity in Musi River Estuarine, Coastal of Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera Province have been conducted in June and July 2013. The aim of the study was to analyze the diversity of fishes in Musi River Estuarine Coastal of Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera Province. The sample identification held in the Animal Taxonomy Laboratory of Biology Department of Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya. This research using the survey method and the sampling of fishes using the purposive sampling method. The sampling was conducted by using some equipments, such as belad, nets, and net barracks. From this research obtained there were 32 species, 438 individual included in 28 families of fishes. In June 2013, the diversity index (H') was 2,304, while the evenness index (E) was 0,958. In July 2013, the diversity index (H') was 2,561, while the evenness index (E) was 1,044. The relative abundance of species from June until July were (0,36 – 30,67) %. The better mangrove condition, the higher diversity index of fishes. The fish that the low abudance like Mystus is the fresh water fish; and the fishes like Arius venosus, Tachyleus sp, Trichiurus savala cuvier, Polynemus longipectoralis, Synaptura commersoniana and Himantura signifer are the marine fishes; and the fishes that the high abundance like Liza melinoptera, Coilia lindmoni, Paraplotosus are the estuarine fishes.

Abstract

The research about food habits of Lundu fish (Mystus gulio Hamilton, 1822) in the waters of Sungai Dua (Two Rivers) Village, Rambutan District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The sampling was conducted in five times in December 2016; January, February, March and April 2017. Identification of the samples was in Laboratory of Animal Taxonomy, Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya.The purpose of the research was to analyze the food habits of Mystus gulio Hamilton, determine the relationship of length-weight, determine the conditions, analyze the gastric fullness index. The results of this research showed that the food habits of Mystus gulio Hamilton is plankton, like Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Diatomae, Desmidiacae, Euglenophyta, Pyrrophyta, Ciliata, Rhizopoda, Rotaria, and Entomostraca.
