Abstract

The development of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency is supported by the increasing numbers of tourists who visit the place, the increasing numbers of leather craft showrooms, the availability of development area, great amount of raw materials, and the local crafters as the embryo of this industrial tourism. Therefore, the objective of this design is about achieving an area design which provides the facilities for shopping tourism activities, especially for leather crafting products, facilitate industrial tourism activities and training activities for the crafters into the building design that expresses local area architecture as the land mark of Magetan Regency. The problem of the design is about how the finishing of mass system of the buildings in the area and the expression of buildings with local architecture can be interpreted into the area design of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency. The method used in this study is architecture design method. The achieved result is the design of leather crafting shopping center, industrial tourism, and training center area in the form of supporting building facilities in a tourism area in order to optimize the function of Leather Crafting Center “Sawo Street” in Magetan Regency as industrial tourism area.

Abstract

Women and Children Hospital is an useful healthcare facility to improve the health of Indonesian people especially for women, mothers and children. The lack of adequate health facilities in Indonesia for mothers and children, especially in the city of Solo, makes the number of health cases concerning them are still poorly handled and thorough. Therefore, it needs a special health facility that handles the problem, namely Women and Children Hospital with concept that can solve the problem. The appropriate theory for solving the problem is the Physical Outcome Theory (derived from the concept of Healing Environment). That theory serves to help patients in the hospital, to feel comfortable and safe to be treated in it. The research method used is applied research, through the exploration of initial ideas and data collection which then concluded to be a guide in the design analysis. The results of Physical Outcome Theory implementation in buildings, realized through the processing siteplan design, building facade, interiors, and exteriors.

The quality of Indonesia's education in the international rankings is ranked low compared to other countries. On the other hand Indonesia has the potential of nature that can be utilized as a learning method that is with the natural school with nature as a medium of teaching. The use of biophilic design theory becomes important in order to create a natural school environment that can support a good learning atmosphere for learners later. This study aims to determine how appropriate design criteria for designing a planned natural school with biophilic design theory are used. The method used is to study the literacy of the theory and determine the appropriate theory to be used in the design strategy ranging from site selection, site processing, space processing and space quality, mass formation and mass management, and determining the appearance of buildings. Biophilic design design method and process of analysis that is done to produce natural school design design that can optimize the learning process in it.
