Abstract

Abstract   ___________________________________________________________________   Inquiry cannot be separated in learning science activities. Students are actively involved in constructing knowledge of both hands-on and minds-on. Learning science will be more meaningful when students can get to know the material science is not in the form of textual but contextual where students can learn science closer to the event / phenomenon that occurs in the factual and the environment around them more real. The science acquisition process can be conducted using a scientific approach that is packed with outdoor learning. This article is the result of the study of literature on school-based learning outdoor yard (neighborhood school) which is expected to facilitate teachers in applying scientific approaches and outdoor learning so that students can be closer to the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This classroom action research deals with the implementation of collaborative writing in Scientific Writing subject. This research aims to describe how collaborative writing can be used to improve thecollaborative skill and motivation among the students of Natural Science Education Department. It was conducted in the Natural Science Education Department of the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University for six months. The number of subject is 37 students. The researcher used observation sheets including lecture observation sheet, students’ activity observation sheet used to know the implementation of collaborative writing, cooperative observation sheet used to know the cooperation among students and questionaire used to know students’ motivation after the implementation of collaborative writing. The research reported that there was an improvement of students’ cooperation in every cycle. Besides, it was also shown that there was an improvement of students’ motivation in cycle I from 87.8% to 87% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the average score of students’ writing also increased from 80.5 in cycle I to 84.2 in cycle II.Keywords: collaborative writing, motivation, cooperation

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran Kemampuan Dasar Mengajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bertanya produktif mahasiswa pendidikan IPA pada tahun akademik 2013/2014. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di kelas Pendidikan IPA angkatan 2011 pada mata kuliah Kemampuan Dasar Mengajar. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan IPA berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan bertanya produktif mahasiswa dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Pair Check dari siklus I ke II. Mahasiswa telah mampu mengungkapkan pertanyaan secara jelas dan singkat serta telah dapat memunculkan pertanyaan bermutu yang memunculkan beberapa alternatif jawaban. Pengungkapan tertulis pertanyaan menurut tingkatan kognitif juga mengalami peningkatan pada level mengaplikasikan dan mengevaluasi.. Pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe pair check dapat membantu dosen untuk mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiwa dapat menyusun dan berlatih mengkomunikasikan hasil diskusi. Kata kunci: Pair check, kooperatif, kemampuan bertanya produktif.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the impact of using video as a media toward the learning result of sciences for students in class VII in SMPN 1 Turi on 2016/2017 which is looked by the student’s creativity. This research is quasi experiment. The object of this research is the student’s result. The technique of data collection is using test, questioner and documentation techniques. Instrument test is containing with 30 multiple-choice questions, and questioner instrument is containing with 20 statements. As the result, the researcher obtained Fcalculate = 19,747 and p = 0,000, the average of learning result is 20,78, the average of questioner is 60,09. Based on the average of learning result and questioner, then there is an impact by video as a media toward the learning result of sciences for students in class VII which is looked by the student’s creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of cooperative learning model type of talking stick to the results of science learning class vii students in smp n 5 banguntapan, bantul in 2016/2017 academic year in terms of cooperation ability. this study is quasi-experimental. techniques of collecting data using test techniques, questionnaires and documentation. the instrument test contains 30 multiple choice questions, and the questionnaire instrument contains 20 statements. the result, the researcher obtained fcount = 1.082 and p = 0.283, the average learning outcome was 21.75, the average questionnaire was 80.13. based on the average learning outcomes and questionnaires, then there is the influence of talking stick to the results of science learning grade vii students in terms of students cooperation ability.

Abstract

Learning process with 3N Tamansiswa approach (Niteni (inquire), Nirokke (copy), Nambahi (add/innovate)) which is based on outdoor learning is an innovative learning inviting the student to think creatively and develop their processing skills in learning. This 3N approach is in line with the scientific approach in 2013 curriculum. The development of Integrated Science Lesson Plan for VII grade students based on 3N Tamansiswa and Outdoor Learning Activity was done to know that the lesson plan is proper to be used to teach integrated science for VII grade students. This research used R&D method from Sukmadinata, that it involves: 1) initial study which includes literature study and the proposal for initial draft of the product, 2) the development of integrated science lesson plan for VII grade of Junior High School students with 3N Tamansiswa approach and Outdoor Learning Activity, and 3) the evaluation with limited trials and wider trials. The data were collected by Focus Group Discussion (FGD), documentation, and distribution of the questionnaire. The result showed that the lesson plan of Science Subject for VII graders with 3N Tamansiswa and Outdoor Learning Activity approaches was proper for teaching science. The quality of the lesson plan was scored averagely in 91 in the good category by reviewers in FGD I. The score was increased to 99 in FGD II in a good category.

Abstract

This research purposes to increase student liveliness and learning outcomes at the eighth grade student through peer teaching at SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan in academic year 2012/2013. It is because of some learning problems at class VIII A SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan such as: 1). Teacher face come constraints in applying the concept to student, 2) there is assumption that science is hard because of its formula which is must be remembered, 3) too many material to be learned in school which make student are not interested, 4) they tend to cluster with certain student, 5) students are not active in the class, 6) the low value of student learning outcome in science. This research is an action research that is conducted collaboratively. The subjects of this research are 20 students in class VIII A of SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa. The object of this research is learning through peer teaching, liveliness, and students learning outcomes. The data collecting technique is conducted by observation, interview, documentation and test. Data analysis technique of observation sheet or questionnaire are conducted by calculating the total value of each indicator and learning outcome test is conducted by searching the median of test and counting the percentage that fulfill the passing grade.The reasult shows that after applying peer teaching in class VIII A of SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Tamansiswa, the liveliness and learning outcomes of science subject go up. It is proven by the enhancement of average percentage of student liveliness observation worksheet for each cycle; the average of liveliness indicator in cycle 1 is 69,875%. It increases 8,9575% to 78,8325% in cycle 2. The average learning outcomes of science in pre-action is 55,7 increase to 65,7 in cycle 1 and 76,3 in cycle 2. The numbers of student that pass the passing grade in the pre-action are 5 students with a percentage of 25%. In cycle 1, it increases to 60% with 12 students passing the passing grade and it becomes 70% in cycle 2 with 14 students. Based on the result of research conducted, the researcher advices science teacher to apply peer teaching as a variation of the learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray  dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Secara komparatif untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray  dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat Quasi Eksperiment dan design penelitian menggunakan Matched Group Pretest Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian secara deskriptif analisis uji-t minat belajar  diperoleh thitung = 19,929 dengan p = 0,000 yang berarti bahwa p < 0,05, sedangkan analisis uji-t hasil belajar diperoleh thitung = 2,424 dengan p = 0,018 yang berarti bahwa p < 0,05. Karena p < 0,05, maka maka dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan minat dan hasil belajar IPA antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori.

Abstract

According to descriptive study, the research is intended to know the inclinationoftheresultofIPAlearninginclassVIIIgradeatSMP NEGERI 1Prambanan Klateninacademic2012/2013byusinginquirymodel,directinstruction,andthe learnmotivationofthestudent.Accordingtocomparativestudyistoknowthe differenceoftheresultofIPAlearningontheVIIIgradeatSMP NEGERI 1Prambanan Klatenstudentswiththelearnusinginquirymodel anddirectinstructionconsederation fromthelearnmotivationofthestudent. The research conducted at the eight grade of SMP NEGERI  1 Prambanan Klaten. The research population included all students of the eight grade students of 7 classes. The removal of sample by random sampling. From the result lottery get class VIII C as experiment sample and class VIII D as control sample. The collecting data by using documentation techniques to obtain the first skill of the students, angket techniques to obtain the learn motivation and the test techniques to obtain learning outcomes of the students Validity of the questions were looked for by using product moment correlation. The question reliability was looked for using the KR-20 formula. The question reliability angket was looked for using the Alpha Cronbach formula. According to descriptive study, the result showed that the tendency of the result of IPA learning on SMP NEGERI  1 Prambanan Klaten in 2012/2013 which using the model of learning inquiry in high categories with mean 23,18 on the interval 18,09- 23,26, and direct instruction models high categories with mean 21,07 on the interval 18,09-23,26. The tendency of the result of IPA learning on motivation which using the model of learning inquiry in high categories with mean 83,3 on the interval 76,6- 92,03, and direct instruction models high categories with mean 81,69 on the interval 76,68-92,03. In comparative there were significant difference of the result of ipa learning in using inquiry model n direct instruction consederation from the learn motivation of the student. From the result of anacova test before control motivation get value F 17,023 and after control motivation get value F 15,875 it means decrease 1,148 it means get removal the variable control is accurated. The teacher must be increase quality of learning outcomes beside using inquiry models to get maximal outcomes.

Abstract

The descriptive research aims to understand a tendency of study science outcomes in student of class VIII Banguntapan 2 Junior High School in 2015/2016. This research uses cooperative which is type of Snowball Throwing and expository model. The comparative research aims to understand a difference of study science outcomes in student of class VIII Banguntapan 2 Junior High School in 2015/2016 with uses cooperative of Snowball Throwing and Expository model. This method of research is a Quasy Experiment. The result of descriptive research is to show a tendency of science study outcomes in student of class VIII Banguntapan 2 Junior High School in 2015/2016 which uses Snowball Throwing is the highest category than Expository model. Then, the result of comparative research, there is difference of science study outcomes in student of class VIII Banguntapan 2 Junior High School which uses Snowball Throwing and Expository model. So that there is an influence in a cooperative which is type of Snowball Throwing toward a science study outcomes in student of VIII Banguntapan 2 Junior High School in 2015/2016.
