Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sebuah proses kegiatan yang di sengaja atas input siswa untuk menimbulkan suatu hasil yang diinginkan sesuai tujuan yang ditetapkan. Pendidikan matematika perlu ditingkatkan kualitasnya. Banyak persoalan kehidupan yang memerlukan kemampuan menghitung dan mengukur. Terobosan efektif untuk membangkitkan semangat belajar dan hasil belajar siswa disekolah salah satunya dengan membangun komunitas belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Efektivitas Komunitas Belajar Siswa Kelas VII Pada Materi Segiempat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Ngadiluwih Kediri dan peneliti bertindak sebagai guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi kemampuan guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar tes hasil belajar, dan lembar angket respon siswa. Pada penulisan ini hanya akan menyajikan samapai pembuatan instrumen yang akan digunakan untuk penelitian.

Abstract

Spatial thinking is a basic skill that can be accessed by everyone to different degrees in different contexts to solve problems in a variety of contexts. To think spatially related needs three components, namely: the concept of space, methods of spatial representation, and spatial reasoning. Some areas of mathematical problem solving related to spatial thinking. One of them is geometry. There are two standards that are used to study the geometry and both relate to the spatial. In resolving the problem geometry everyone has their own way. How is exactly what is called a learning style. The purpose of this study was to determine the students thinking process in solving the problems of spatial geometry of each learning style. This study is a qualitative research diskriptip. the students selected as the sample under consideration from teachers. Then visits the last student learning outcomes and then classified into 3 groups: high, medium and low. After the selected student groups are to be given a learning styles test. Then have one student who has a visual learning style, one students learning style and one students auditory kinesthetic learning style. The third sample will be given the test geometry indicator is adjusted to think spatially. Then Through in-depth interviews will be obtained on individual profiles in solving geometry problems. Along with interviews, researchers will observe the activity of students. Then the data obtained will be analyzed just not comparable between learning styles. So the instrument in this study is about, observation sheet and interview.

Abstract

Quantitative Reasoning is students ability to concluded a problem solved. The purpose of this research has information about algebraic thinking processed on the student with low ability based on Quantitative Reasoning ability. Methods used qualitative descriptive with a purpose for a description of algebraic thinking processed on mathematics problem solving basic material on function with the low ability of student based on quantitative reasoning ability. This paper used algebraic ability paper test and interview transcript. The subject cluster used purposive technic with appreciation high value on report and teacher review which are known about students characteristic. The results showed that algebraic thinking processed on mathematics problem solving on the student with low ability based on quantitative reasoning ability obtained LESS category because the subject doesn’t capable used deductive reasoning on clarifying n symbol on problem and representation on arrow diagram and Cartesian diagram for the first problem test. With the result that Quantitative Reasoning subject on analyzing problems to extract and quantify essential features with deductive reasoning obtained “Less” category. The second problem test, the subject doesn’t capable used inductive reasoning on concluding highest bounce of the ball from the graphic and function table. With that result that Quantitative Reasoning subject on analyzing problems to extract and quantify essential features with inductive reasoning obtained “Less” category.

Abstract

Geometry is one of school material subject which close with our daily activities. They used geometry form concept to interior and exterior design. The closeness between geometry content and daily activities encourage author to explore how is spatial thinking elementary student. Two kinds of representations are internal representation and external representation. Representation internal include perception, distortion or abstraction and relationships between objects, external representation reveal the product of thought to image, words, table, concrete object, or mathematic symbols used to understand  yourself and others.Transformation is representation component. Transformation needs object to operate it, and representation needs transformation to create representation. Transformation is tool to descript representations.Subject of the research is elementary school students grade 5th, the researcher gives them a problem of geometry object 2 dimensions to 3 dimensions The research findings are the subject be able to construct a genetic definition of  the cube by using analogical thinking in the preparation of  the definition.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan tulisan ini adalah menuliskan laporan rekam jejak pembuatan video animasi 3D Portofolio tahap define dan design. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis video 3D portofolio yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengembangan perangkat ini adalah menggunakan teori pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran Thiagarajan (Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel, 1974: 5) yang dikenal dengan Four - D Model atau model 4-D. Model ini terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu: Define (pendefinisian), Design (perencaaan), Develop (pengembangan), dan Desseminate (pendiseminasian). Adapun alasan penulis memilih model pengembangan Thiagarajan untuk dipakai dalam penelitian ini karena model tersebut terperinci dan sistematis sehingga memudahkan dalam melakukan proses pengembangan perangkat dan instrumen. Namun demikian model tersebut dimodifikasi sehingga yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini hanya memuat: Define, Design, dan Develop. Modifikasi yang dilakukan meliputi: 1) analisis tugas dilakukan setelah analisis konsep/topik, 2) perancangan awal didahului oleh perancangan instrumen, dan 3) penyederhanaan langkah-langkah pada tahap pengembangan (develop).Ada 3 tahapan pembuatan video animasi 3 dimensi Portofolio yaitu menggambar sketsa 2 dimensi dengan menggunakan program autocad dan google sketchup, merender gambar 2 dimensi ke 3 dimensi dengan menggunakan program lumion dan mengedit video dengan menggunakan adobe after effect.

Abstract

Abstrak: Rendahnya hasil PISA dan TIMSS siswa Indonesia kontradiktif dengan motivasi belajar matematika dan sains mereka yang berada di atas Singapura dan Malaysia. Permasalahan tersebut dikarenakan kurangnya MCK khususnya domain penalaran di setiap Mathematical Content. Mereka perlu penguatan kemampuan mengintegrasikan informasi, menarik kesimpulan, serta menggeneralisasikan pengetahuan yang dimiliki.  Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan menghasilkan Buku Kerja Siswa (BKS) yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial bagi literasi matematika siswa SMP. Penelitian ini mengacu pada modifikasi model 4-D Thiagarajan yaitu Define, Design dan  Develop.  Prosedur penelitiannya adalah: 1) menganalisis MCK awal siswa SMP di Kota Kediri berdasarkan domain TIMSS dan literasi matematika PISA; 2) mengembangkan BKS yang valid, praktis dan layak.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan BKS yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak, ditinjau dari kelayakan isi sebesar 84,11%, kelayakan bahasa sebesar 86,61%, kelayakan kegrafikan sebesar 84,72% dan Hasil ujicoba terbatas pada tiga puluh orang siswa mendapat respon positif sebesar 98,25%.   Kata Kunci: BKS, MCK, Literasi Matematika, Siswa SMP

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the results of observations made the reality of the learning conditions of mathematics at Daha 1 Pawyatan Middle School Kediri focused more on teacher lectures. So that teachers play an active role, while students tend to be passive. Students only listen, take notes and work on the questions given by the teacher. In addition, learning like this also causes the mathematics learning process to become less communicative. As a result the value of students becomes less optimal and other learning behaviors such as a pleasant classroom atmosphere and communicative students in learning almost do not appear, for that variation in the learning process in a school is needed. As an effort to improve creative thinking and mathematical communication, the right learning method (learning cycle method) is needed, so that learning becomes more effective and maximum learning outcomes. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with the design of Posstest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class VIII students at Daha Pawyatan Middle School 1 Kediri Academic Year 2018/2019 and with cluster random sampling sampling techniques this study sample. Data collection is obtained by test techniques. The collected data were analyzed using the t-test. Based on testing the hypothesis, it can be concluded that. (1) the learning cycle method influences students' creative thinking abilities. This is evidenced by thcount 7,395 and the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 <0,05. (2) The learning cycle method influences students' mathematical communication. This is proven by tcount 4,716 and sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 <0,05. From the results of the study which showed that the value of mathematics communication skills of students was 56.3% in the good category and the average creative thinking ability of students was 73.59. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning cycle method influences students' creative thinking and mathematical communication, so it is recommended for teachers that the learning cycle method can be used as an alternative learning medium for teachers to improve creative thinking and mathematical communication of students Key Words: learning cycle method; creative thinking; mathematical communication

Abstract

The 3R learning model is a learning model that emphasizes Reading, Writing and Arithmatic based on the context of the 21st century skills. The 3R learning model is translated into life and career skills, learning and innovation skills and information media and technology skills. The 3R learning model provided in cultural-based geometry learning that is intended for elementary students. Traditional houses in Indonesia are used as a form of cultural crystallization which is explored by geometric elements attached to the object. This research begins with designing learning devices and 3R Core media and valid learning devices then applied in the School. The purpose of this study is to describe spatial thinking of students through geometry concepts which were explored through observations on 3R Core learning media as form of ethnic?s cristalization. The subjects of this study were grade 5th elementary school students and the results showed the teacher's ability to manage learning in good categories, and students' interest in using 3R in good categories. The results of the study were tested for validity by using data credibility test using time triangulation, member check and extension of observation. The subject found several geometric concepts in the learning process, namely using the concept of flat wake, congruence, symmetry and scale in the geometry problem solving process given through 3R Core learning media.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan komponen representasi internal. Terdapat dua komponen penting pada representasi internal yaitu distorsi dan abstraksi. Dalam tulisan ini ditunjukkan bagaimana penghapusan sebuah realita yang terjadi pada proses abstraksi dan bagaimana memutuskan sebuah distorsi dalam sebuah proses berpikir spasial. Terdapat dua jenis abstraksi yaitu abstraksi material dan abstraksi sebagai proses omission (penghapusan).Tugas pemecahan masalah geometri diberikan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana siswa sekolah dasar melakukan proses abstraksi dan distorsi pada sebuah reprentasi internal.
