Abstract

Guava (Psidium guajava Linn) is found throughout Indonesia. The leaves contain tannins that can be used as antibacterial and antifungal.  To determine the antiseptic power of guava leaf as antifungal and antibacterial. Pre experiments with laboratory test to determine the inhibitory power of guava ethanol extract as anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Guava leaves are old made 70% ethanol extract in LPPT UGM using maseration method. The extract made 3 concentrations ie 25%, 50% and 75%. Each concentration was tested for inhibitory by knowing the diameter of growth barrier to Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus. Each concentration is repeated 5 times, resulting in 15 data. The data were analyzed descriptively to illustrate their potential comparisons with chlorhexidine as standard materials.  The extract of guava leaf using ethanol 70% in laboratory test resulted in average inhibitory zone diameter as follows: for mushroom C.albicans with extract 25%, 50% and 75% were 13.4mm, 17.6mm and 19.4mm. While for S. aureus is 2.2mm, 25.6mm, and 27.2mm.  The effect of antifungal power of guava leaf extract (Psidium guajava Linn.) on the growth of Candida albicans fungus is smaller compared to Staphylococcus aureus bacteria

Abstract

Daun kenikir dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional, salah satunya sebagai obat penyakit yang disebabkan oleh infeksi bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, belum ada laporan tentang penggunaan atau penelitian daun kenikir untuk pengobatan penyakit yang disebabkan jamur Candida albicans. Candida albicans merupakan jamur oportunistik yang dapat menyebabkan kandidiasis jika terjadi faktor predisposisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya antifungi infusa daun kenikir terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans secara in vitro. Infusa daun kenikir diperoleh dari proses infudasi dengan menggunakan air sebagai larutan pencair. Infusa daun kenikir dibuat dalam berbagai konsentrasi (60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%). Setiap konsentrasi diuji daya hambat jamur dengan metode sumuran. Data berupa diameter zona hambat dengan satuan millimeter (mm) dan dilakukan 4X pengulangan tiap konsentrasi. Hasil uji daya hambat infusa duan kenikir terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans konsentrasi 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90% sebesar 5,5 mm, 5,75 mm, 5,75 mm, 5,75 mm, 6,25 mm, 6,5 mm dan 6,5 mm. Daya antifungi infusa daun kenikir terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans pada konsentrasi paling tinggi (90%) mempunyai persentase sebesar 22% dibandingkan ketokonazol.

Abstract

Mosquitoes are insects which are responsible in transmission process of many diseases in humans and animals. One type that is often found is Culex quinquefasciatus. Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes serve as vectors of disease filariasis and chikungunya. the mosquitos prevention that uses synthetic insecticide affects the negative side for the environment. Natural insecticide is the safe way that can be used as insecticide.Rambutan’s leaves contain compounds of saponin and tanin, it be used for larvacide’s.This research aims to find out about ethanol extract of rambutans leaves that can be used for larvacide, the impact, the influence of ethanol extract of rambutans leaves towards larva mortality and the effective concentrate in the researchThis research is quasi experimental with Post Test Control Group Design. The concentrate extract of rambutans leaves that is used is 0.025%, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4%,and 0.8% with duration 24 hours. Then, it is counted the amount of dead larvae. Then, the result is analyzed statically using Anova One Way and linear regression.The result showed that the percentage of the death of larva Culex quinquefasciatus in concentrate 0.025%, 0.05%, 0.1%,0.2%,0.4%, and 0.8% each of them are 77%,86%,87%,95%,98%,and 100%. The result of Anova One Way showed that the significant value is 0.000 (<0.05) which means that there is an impact of using rambutans leaves extract towards larva mortality Culex quinquefasciatus.The use of Ethanol extract can cause the mortality of larva Culex quinquefasciatus.

Abstract

Abstract: The main vector of dengue fever is Aedes aegypti. Ylang flower can be useful as an anti-mosquito, so in this study ylang flower botanicals chosen as rechargeable electric mat as an anti-mosquito Aedes aegypti. Objectives Determine the effect of various heavy and heavy crude drugs effective of ylang flowers (Cananga odorata (lamk.) Hook.) as an electric mat, the number of Aedes aegypti percentage knock-down of various heavy crude drugs ylang flowers. Methods This research uses experimental research with Post test with control. The results obtained from counting the number of knock-down mosquitoes Aedes aegypti after 1 hour exposure to various heavy simplisia ylang flowers are 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g, 2,5 g, 3 g and 3,5 g. Results Ylang flowers as electricalmat having a knock-down effect on the mosquito Aedes aegypti. The mean effect of knock-down mosquitoes produced heavy crude drugs in 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g, 2,5 g, 3 g and 3,5 g of 2,0, 2,75, 4,75, 6,0, 7,75 and 9,0. Conclusion Ylang flowers simplicia as electric mat influence 90.6% of the knock-down mosquito Aedes aegypti. The mean effect of knock-down mosquitoes produced heavy crude drugs in 1 g, 1.5 g, 2 g. 2.5 g, 3 g and 3.5 g of 2.0, 2.75, 4.75; 6.0; 7.75 and 9.0 and obtained the effective weight of 3.5 grams. The percentage knock-down mosquitoes in heavy crude drugs ylang flowers 1 g, 1.5 g, 2 g, 2.5 g, 3 g, and 3.5 g were 10%, 13.75%, 23.75%, 30%, 38.75%, and 45% Keywords Ylang flowers. Simplicia. Bunga kenanga bermanfaat sebagai anti- nyamuk, simplisia bunga kenanga dipilih sebagai isi ulang mat elektrik sebagai anti-nyamuk Aedes aegpti. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh dan berat efektif berbagai berat simplisia bunga kenanga (Cananga odorata (lamk).Hook) sebagai mat elektrik , jumlah nyamuk Aedes aegypti yang knock-down dan presentase knock-down dari berbagai berat simplisia bunga kenanga. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan Post test with kontrol. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari penghitungan jumlah knock-down nyamuk Aedes aegypti setelah pemaparan 1 jam dengan berbagai berat simplisa bunga kenanga yaitu 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g, 2,5 g,3 g dan 3,5 g. Penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan uji statistik regresi linier. Hasil penelitian Simplisia bunga kenanga sebagai mat elektrik memiliki efek knock-down pada nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Rerata efek knock-down nyamuk yang dihasilkan simplisia pada berat 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g. 2,5 g, 3 g dan 3,5 g sebesar 2,0; 2,75; 4,75; 6,0; 7,75 dan 9,0. Kesimpulan Simplisia bunga kenanga sebagai mat elektrik memberikan pengaruh 90,6% terhadap knock-down nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Rerata efek knock-down nyamuk yang dihasilkan simplisia pada berat 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g. 2,5 g, 3 g dan 3,5 g sebesar 2,0; 2,75; 4,75; 6,0; 7,75 dan 9,0 dan didapatkan berat efektif yaitu 3,5 gram. Besarnya prosentase knock-down nyamuk pada berat simplisia bunga kenanga 1 g, 1,5 g, 2 g, 2,5 g,3 g, dan 3,5 g adalah sebesar 10 %, 13,75 %, 23,75 %, 30 %, 38,75 %, dan 45 %. Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah  untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Teams Game Tournament berbantu media Puzzle terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas III SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Pre-Experimental Design. Bentuk  pre-experimental design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IIIC SDN Sendangmulyo 02 tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Sampel yang diambil adalah 20 siswa kelas III. Hasil nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest mengalami peningkatan. Pada nilai pretest yang telah dilaksanakan diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 64,25 dan tes akhir posttest dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 85,50. Dengan demikian terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Game Tournament berbantu media Puzzle . Ada perbedaan hasil belajar IPS dengan menggunakan Model pembelajaran Teams Game Tournament  berbantu media Puzzle kelas III SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang

Abstract

AbstrakPenggunaan parasetamol dengan dosis toksik akan menyebabkan kerusakan pada ginjal. Salah satu indikator terjadinya kerusakan ginjal adalah peningkatan kadar ureum. Tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat tradisional adalah kunyit karena mengandung kurkumin yang bisa mencegah terjadinya kerusakan ginjal.Untuk mengetahui efek renoprotektif pemberian perasan rimpang kunyit (Curcumma domestica) terhadap kadar ureum pada serum  tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi parasetamol. Penelitian ini merupakan pre-post test control group design dengan menggunakan tikus putih sebagai hewan uji, parasetamol 240 mg/200 g BB digunakan sebagai bahan induksi, dan perasan kunyit dosis 1 ml, 2 ml, dan 3 ml. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik menggunakan uji Anova One Way dan uji Correlation pada SPSS 16.0 for Windows.Rata-rata peningkatan kadar ureum tikus putih yang diinduksi parasetamol dan pada tikus putih yang diberi perasan kunyit dosis 1, 2, dan 3 ml adalah 48,38 mg/dl, 38,98mg/dl, 25,56 mg/dl. Hasil uji Anova One Way menunjukkan signifikan 0.000 yang berarti ada pengaruh pemberian perasan kunyit terhadap kadar ureum tikus putih yang diinduksi parasetamol. Dari hasil uji Correlation terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat antara perasan kunyit terhadap kadar ureum tikus putih yang diinduksi parasetamol.Terdapat pengaruh pemberian perasan rimpang kunyit (Curcumma domestica) terhadap kadar ureum pada serum tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi Parasetamol.Kata Kunci: Kadar ureum , Parasetamol, Perasan Kunyit, Tikus putih..

Abstract

Background this research is worm disease problematic in the field of health. Treatment for the disease worms that have been used are synthetic drugs that have side effects are not good for health and can lead to dependence. One of the medicinal plants used for deworming is garlic. Chemical constituents in garlic is allicin that is anthelmintics.To prove that it is carried out in vivo study using dogs infected with Toxocara canis worms as test animals.Objective this research to knowing of the effectiveness of various doses of garlic juice with a gift on the first day against Toxocara canis worm egg counts in vivo and the largest decrease in the effectiveness of Toxocara canis worm egg counts after administration of juice garlic at a dose of 0,5; 1 and 1,5 percent weight within 6 days of observation.Methods this research is an experimental study using dogs infected with Toxocara canis nearly the same number of eggs as well as the research design pretest-posttest with control group.Results the largest decrease in the effectiveness of Toxocara canis worm egg counts after administration juice garlic at a dose of 0,5; 1 and 1,5 percent weight within 6 days of observation known to occur on day 3 with a percentage of effectiveness are 48,49%; 67,18%; dan 82,85%. The higher doses of garlic juice, the more effective to decline in the amount of worm eggs Toxocara canis in vivo.Conclusion this research is garlic juice with various doses are not as effective as once treatment in reducing the the amount of eggs bracelet worm (Toxocara canis) in vivo.
