Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze Mandeh tourism development strategy and to formulate Development Alternatives using FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The type of this study is Mixed Method which is research that combines or integrates qualitative and quantitative Method to be used together in research activities in order to obtain more comprehensive, valid, reliable, and objective data. However, in this study is more weighted on qualitative research and quantitative data to support qualitative research. So, based on the results of FGD and AHP there are four main priorities strategy in dealing MEA: 1) tourism development of art, culture and religion, 2) tourism product’s development of natural wonder, 3) development of underwater tourism, 4) providing socialization to meet MEA.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative reasearch was done in order to find out the development strategy for Sumedang Beach, a tourism site at Ranah Pesisir, Pesisir Selatan District. It was found that the maintenance of public facility around the beach was not mananaged as well as it should be. The accomodation was not enough provided. Moreover, the villagers did not have awareness toward tourism value of their environment. These facts were the bottom line reasons why the researcher conducted this research. The data was obtained  by using observation, interview and documentation which were done with Tourism Ministry, Bappeda, villagers and their leaders. The data was analyzed by using SWOT Analysis (Strengths,Weaknes,Opportunities and Threats). The result of the research shown that Pesisir Selatan District need to do: 1) A Counseling for improving and enhancing villagers’s awareness about the importance of an awaranesess toward tourism site;2) A Coordination with private sector to obtain an income;3) A Development toward tourism attractions; 4) An Improvement of public facility;5) A Development for tourism’s accessibility.Keywords: the development strategy, tourism site, sumedang beach

Abstract

Abstract: Geography teaching essentially develops students ability to recognize and understand natural phenomena in relation to spatial and territorial. When learning georafi students sometimes feel bored and lazy to learn the theory because it is considered difficult and difficult to understand so participate in Field Work Lecture (KKL). Field Work Lectures function applying theory in the classroom with in the field so it will affect the learning achievement and effectiveness of learning. The method used is qualitative method. The subjects of this study are students who will conduct workshops lapanga on cartography courses, cartographic pratik, remote sensing and interpretation of aerial photography. Data analysis begins with an interview to the subject of research on Field Work Lecture, while for the interest of learning data used tabulation then depicted in graph. Referral The development of learning field work field in education majors Geography Education Geography STKIP Pesisir Selatan is in accordance with field teaching approaches field work put forward by Rice and Bullman. Implementation of Field Work Lectures in Geography Education STKIP Pesisir Selatan consists of preparatory, implementation, and post-field work. Field work lectures are also able to increase student interest in geography learning and some development for field college learning so that students interest in learning and willingness is higher among them 1) Location compatibility with KKL themes 2) Present prominent symptoms 3) Locations easy to reach 4) Safe to be visited 5) Relatively low cost to come 6) Availability of preliminary data about the location 7) Composition of clear committee and event Keywords: fieldwork, development direction, interest in learning

Abstract

AbstractThis study originated from the phenomenon of earthquakes that occurred in 2009 measuring 7.6 SR to swallow a lot of casualties. During the evacuation process is much buildup period because it is not like the evacuation route in the desert city. The purpose of this study was to analyze the spatial structure of North Padang related tsunami evacuation route and evaluate the feasibility of a tsunami evacuation route in the district of North Padang. This study was classified as a descriptive study using data from QuickBird Imagery interpretation in 2012 with the help of software ArcGIS 10.1, Quickbird image analysis to obtain administrative data, road networks, tsunami evacuation route, tsunami hazard zone through field surveys and analyzes BAPPEDA Kogami. Other supporting data obtained from the study of documentation and interviews related to research and population data from the BPS Padang. The results showed that (1) The structure of the existing space in the district of North Padang including the hazard of the tsunami, because there are many potholes and the condition of the road width of less than 10 meters. (2) evacuation path tsunami in North  Padang still considered unfit as an evacuation route for tsunami evacuation on each line are point barrier which will cause congestion.Keywords : eligibility pathways , the spatial structure , tsunami , earthquake

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to see the physical changes in the environment of Mandeh area, South Pesisir Regency, from 2008-2018 and formulate an environmental policy model for the Mandeh area. The analysis technique was carried out by overlaying map of Mandeh area land use from 2008-2018, to determine the policy model of the physical changes in the environment of Mandeh area was analyzed by FGD and AHP. As for the results of the land use map overlay shows many physical changes. Based on the results of the analysis and discussions that have been done previously, it can be concluded that Physical Changes in Enviroment of Mandeh area from 2008-2018 have their own impact on the environment For this reason, it is necessary to have an environmentally sound policy model. Based on the results of the analysis, there are five alternative policy priorities are: (1) it is expected that the government to analyze the utilization of natural resources does not exceed the environmental carrying capacity value of 0.752,  (2) zoning of land use and marine waters of mandeh area value 0.791 (3) cultivating the main functions of natural resources potential, human resources and artificial resources value 0.794 (4) conservation for mangroves and coral reefs that have been damaged value 0.732 (5) analysis of the system plan and road network of sea and land transportation value 0.726. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine Mapping General Fuel Filling stations (SPBU)in the city of Padang. Research methods used in this research is descriptive research method, the research subject is every SPBU in the city of Padang. Sampling is done by total sampling by finding the coordinates of every SPBU in the city of Padang. Data used primary data by conducting a survey of spaciousness direct and apply directly using GIS to describe the phenomena that exist in the field. Research is found that 1) a filling station in the city of Padang consists of 26 units. Located in 11 districts. 26 SPBU consists of 24 types Pasti Pas and 2 types Pertamina Way. 2) Distribution SPBU in the city of Padang wear elongated pattern, (Linear Concenration) that follow the main road due to SPBU for their effect on the road network. 3) The distance every SPBU in the city of Padang is different from one filling station to the other gas stations. It could even be said to be very close distance. As the SPBU to SPBU Didong Khatib Sulaiman PT. Karya Putra Muda Indonesia that did not reach 1 Km namely 732 meter.4) The location of SPBU in the city of Padang accidentally created two currents that flow in the left and right cross, and the current in opposite directions. Abstract

This study aims to find out and obtain information about the application of the consept of geography learning models that will form students' disaster alert characters in STKIP Pesisir Selatan by conducting meta-plan analysis and bayes analysis. This Study is descriptive qualitative using observation, interviews, and documentation in data collection. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been done before, it can be concluded that the Student Empowerment Strategy of South Coast STKIP In Forming Disaster Alert Character. The results of the analysis using the Bayes method there are four policy priorities that can be applied for development are 1) Students form a disaster alert group or forum with a value of 4,545 2) related socialization to disaster disaster by lecturer staff with a value of 4,524 3) emergency response training for disaster preparedness with value of 4,333 4) making direction directions to tsunami shelters and evacuation routes in several locations with a value of 4,222
