Abstract

Studi karya para Ulama Nusantara di Indonesia menunjukkan dinamika yang signifikan. Penemuan unsur lokalitas (kearifan lokal) di masing-masing karya Ulama Nusantara menunjukkan bahwa aspek kepulauan Nusantara mempengaruhi karya intelektualnya. Buku Fiqih dengan judul Majmuat as- Shariah al-Kafiyah li al-Awam adalah karya Kiai Sholeh Darat. Buku tersebut ditulis dengan menggunakan bahasa Jawa pada akhir abad 19, dan karyanya jelas menunjukkan elemen yang sangat menonjol dari wilayah ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis terhadap buku Majmuat as- Shariah al-Kafiyah li al-Awam dengan menggunakan pendekatan kearifan lokal ini, diharapkan masyarakat bisa memahami dan lebih mudah mengikuti pesan dari buku tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui bahwa aspek kearifan lokal dalam buku Majmuat as- Shariah al-Kafiyah li al-Awam muncul dalam hal-hal seperti penampilan, bahasa dan penjelasan. Dalam penafsiran dan bahasa, Kiai Sholeh Darat menggunakan naskah pegon, sebuah bentuk keaksaraan yang sangat umum digunakan oleh masyarakat Muslim tradisional, terutama di wilayah Jawa saat itu. Sementara itu, Kiai Sholeh Darat sering mengomentari masalah masalah Dayang Memule dengan penawaran (sajen), Perhitungan pasaran, Nyahur Tanah, Ukuran Timbangan (untuk Zakat) dan lain-lain.

Abstract

The study of the works of Nusantara archipelago’s scholars in the Indonesia showed significant dynamics. The discovery of the element of locality (local wisdom) in each of the treasury of the works of Nusantara archipelago’s scholars showed that aspects of the Nusantara archipelago influenced and colored his intellectual works. Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) book Majmu’at as- Syari’at al-Kafiyat li al-‘Awam as Kiai Sholeh Darat’s work written using Javanese language in the late 19th century, and this clearly showed a very prominent element of the locality. By using this local wisdom approach, it was expected to make community at the time understand and easier to follow the messages of the book. The aspects of local wisdom in the book Majmu’at as- Syari’at al-Kafiyat li al-‘Awam appeared in such things as appearance, language and explanations. In the interpretation and language, Kiai Sholeh Darat used pegon script, a form of literacy that is very commonly used by traditional Muslim society, especially in the area of Java at that time. Meanwhile, Kiai Sholeh Darat often commented on the issues of Dayang Memule problem with the offering (sajen), Calculation of pasaran, Nyahur Tanah, Size Scales (for Zakat) and others.

Abstract

One of the phenomena of “Living Qur’ān” found in Benda, Central Java is the tradition of memorizing the Qur’ān. This paper presents an elaboration of the question “how the contextualization step for the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān education as a solution for taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān exist in Benda Bumiayu Brebes? As formulated in three Sub Question: 1. How the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture for Benda society can be construct as long time exist? 2. What factors that supported the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture exist ? 3. What factors that reduced the taḥfīẓ al-Qur’ān culture exist?This research is a descriptive qualitative nature, employing historical and sosiological approaches. The qualitative data are obtained through observation, interview and documentation. The data collected are then selected and arranged in a sequence with argumentative presentation.The result of this research reveal that Benda village is good known by Dā al- Qur’ān, because he has more than 7 (seven) Islamic Boarding School for memorizing Qur’ān. This village used to create memorizing Qur’ān culture for the society and arround him. This culture is effected by KH. Khalīl Ibn Maḥallī dan KH. Suḥaimi Ibn Abdul Ghānī, and in the second generation he has great memorizing culture. But in the third generation he gets bad value that less. As  observation data, a writter has seen some fundamen factors which influence reducing the taḥfiẓ al-Qur’ān culture in that village. So that needed the contextualization of taḥfīẓ al- Qur’ān education that switable with modernity.
