The Implementation of Among-Asuh Method in Guidance and Mentoring Management to Shape the Cadets’ Noble Character (a Case Study in the Military Academy)

Abstract

The education system in the Military Academy applies a basic education coursework including the formation of attitudes and behaviors, knowledge and skills, as well as physical skills through the process of teaching, training, and caring. However, in the process of organizing education, it is found that a Military Academy Cadet (Taruna) still conducts behavioral deviations. This is an indication of the weaknesses of the guidance and mentoring management done by the Cadets Regiment in shaping the character of the Cadets using the method of “Among Asuh”. This study aims to describe and analyze the functions in the guidance and caring management of the Cadets; it also intends to find a model of guidance and caring management using “Asah-Asuh” methods to shape the noble characters of the Cadets. This case study used a qualitative approach in line with Yins theory on a single dimension. Data sources from informants of the staff of the caregivers of the Cadets Regiment, and the Military Academy and the documents. Data analysis techniques with triangulation techniques include tools, sources and social context i.e. data collection, data reduction, display data and verification/conclusions. The findings of the study are the weakness of the planning function which has not been accompanied by a thorough needs analysis of the caregivers of the Cadets Regiment, and there is no standard of caregiver competence in the Military Academy Cadets Regiment.

Abstract

Penilaian Seni Musik dalam praktiknya merupakan satu kesatuan dari ketiga ranah afektif, psikomotorik, kognitif, yang dirangkai dalam kegiatan berekspresi, berkreasi, dan berapresiasi. Penelitian dengan pendekatan Research and Development ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penilaian apresiasi pada pembelajaran seni musik kelas VII yang valid, reliabel dan efektif untuk uji coba lapangan. Produk instrumen penilaian apresiasi ini divalidasi isi oleh 3 ahli dan praktisi. Instrumen yang dikembangkan diujicobakan kepada 104 siswa yang terbagi dari 3 sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Semarang, SMP Negeri 19 Semarang, SMP Kartika II Ungaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan: (1) Pengembangan Instrumen penilaian apresiasi seni musik pada sekolah menengah pertama dikembangkan dengan 10 langkah modifikasi dari Borg & Gall (2) Instrumen memenuhi kriteria valid dan diuji secara empiris. Reliabilitas instrumen penilaian apresiasi seni musik diuji menggunakan Inter Rater Reliability  telah memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan (r ̅ > 0,70). (3)  Instrumen apresiasi seni musik ini memiliki nilai keefektifan 73% dengan kategori sangat baik.Instrumen penilaian apresiasi seni musik yang dikembangkan terbukti valid, reliabel dan efektif. Penilaian apresiasi seni musik hendaknya dilakukan secara menyeluruh pada semua standart kompetensi pada seni musik dalam satu semester supaya peserta didik secara maksimal dalam berapresiasi.This study uses a Research and Development approach aims to produce an instrument assessment on learning the art of music appreciation class VII are valid, reliable and effective for field trials. This research instrument development model refers to a model Borg and Gall, who modified. Product is validated assessment instrument appreciation contents by 3 experts and practitioners. The instrument was developed tested to 104 students from three schools divided SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Semarang, Semarang SMP 19, SMP Kartika II Ungaran. The results show: (1) Development of assessment instruments appreciation of the art of music in junior high school was developed with 10 step modification of Borg and Gall (2) Instrument valid criteria and tested empirically. Reliability assessment instrument music art appreciation tested using Inter Rater Reliability has met the criteria set (r ̅> 0.70). (3) Instruments appreciation of the art of music has a value of 73% effectiveness with very good category. Assessment instruments developed musical art appreciation proved valid, reliable and effective. Assessment appreciation of the art of music should be done thoroughly on all standard of competence in the art of music in one semester so that participants in the maximum didiksecara appreciate.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Slawi merupakan sekolah rujukan kurikulum 2013 dan mendapatkan penghargaan salah satu SMK yang Indeks Integritas Ujian Nasional (IIUN) Tertinggi se Indonesia. Metode penilaian yang autentik menjadikan format penulisan rapor pada kurikulum 2013 menjadi lebih kompleks, penelitian  ini dimaksudkan untuk mengembangkan model rapor berbasis Web e-Rapor, serta untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari Sistem  yang dikembangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research & Development (R&D) dan model pengembangan sistem waterfall, Hasil uji perangkat lunak e-rapor telah siap digunakan. Sesuai dengan validitas e-rapor dinyatakan valid dengan nilai 83, 08 % dengan kategori sangat baik. Tingkat kepraktisan dapat dilihat dari indikator keterlaksanaan dengan skor 81,83% (sangat terlaksana). Tingkat keefektifan dilihat dari respon guru dengan skor 84,64% (sangat baik). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil pengembangan model e-rapor berbasis web adalah valid, praktis dan efektif.SMK Negeri 1 Slawi is school Reference curriculum in 2013 and was awarded one of the Integrity Index of SMK se Indonesias Supreme National Exam. Authentic assessment methods that make the format of a report card on the curriculum in 2013 become more complex, the research is intended to develop a Web-based report card model of e-Report Card in accordance with the curriculum 2013 and to determine the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of the system developed.The method used is the Research & Development (R & D) and the waterfall model of system development, software test results e-report card is ready to use. In accordance with the validity of otherwise valid e-report card with a value of 83.08% with a very good category. The level of practicality can be seen from the indicators to be done with a score of 81.83% (a very accomplished). The level of effectiveness on the response to teachers with a score of 84.64% (excellent). It can be concluded that the result of the development model of web-based e-report card is valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Silakupang merupakan sebuah inovasi atas hasil dari kreativitas seniman yang diwacanakan sebagai identitas kesenian daerah oleh Disbudpar Pemalang. Silakupang merupakan kolaborasi dari empat kesenian yaitu Sintren, Laes, Kuntulan dan Kuda Kepang. Pengamatan di lapangan  menunjukan  bahwa  terdapat  sebuah  sanggar  seni  yang  aktif  berkreasi  dalam mengembangkan kesenian Silakupang yaitu sanggar Srimpi. Masalah penelitian ini adalah  kreativitas seperti apa yang terbentuk pada kesenian Silakupang? dan bagaimana proses pembelajaran kesenian Silakupang dalam grup Srimpi? Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian adalah interdisiplin yang melibatkan disiplin ilmu musikologi dan pendidikan. Kajian musikologi digunakan untuk mengkaji proses kreativitas pada kesenian Silakupang grup  Srimpi,  sedangkan  disiplin  ilmu  pendidikan  untuk  melihat  proses  pembelajaran kesenian Silakupang di sanggar Srimpi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pemusatan pada metode riset lapangan. Lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Ampelgading Pemalang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Teknik keabsahan data secara utama menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dan analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pertama, ditemukan kreativitas karya pada garapan grup Srimpi yang terletak pada musik pengiring pertunjukan, menciptakan lagu baru, dan penyajian  yang  menarik.  Kedua,  proses  pembelajaran  meliputi  tujuan,  materi,  metode, media belajar  dan evaluasi.

Cultural Communication of Didong Jalu in Takengon, Central Aceh Regency

Abstract

Didong Jalu is a traditional art from Aceh Tengah (central aceh) that performs 2 (two) Didong group in one performance. Didong Jalu is an art that combines vocal and motion art with a small pillow as the property. Didong Jalu  is also used as a medium of communication among societies from different ethnics. The problems of the research are (1) How is the Didong Jalu performance of Kampung Toweren societies, Takengon Central aceh Regency if it is reviewed from Entomusicology?, (2) How is Didong Jalu performance used as a medium of cultural communication by Kampung Toweren societies, Takengon, Central aceh Regency?. The research method is qualitative with interdicipline approach. The research design is case study, this research is only applicable for where the research was held. The research location is Kampung Toweren Takengon, Central aceh Regency. The research focused on Didong Jalu performance with performance concept and communication concept. The source of data was primary data involving artists, literature documents, and public figure, while the secondary data involves books, and references from previous research.the data collection techniques are observation, interview, and study document. The technique of data validity used data triangulation. Data analysis techniques consist of reduction, data presentation, data verification. The results of the research was that Didong Jalu performance observed used 2 (two) concepts, they are concept presented by Sal Murgiyanto, involving (a) beginning parts, (b) core parts, (c) final parts; (d) rhythm, (e) melody. Didong Jalu performance as a cultural communication can be seen clearly from the elements which influence communication system presented by Alo Liliweri, such as, Didong Jalu as a communicator, communicant, message, media, effect, athmosphere, and disturbance.

Senggayung Music in Gerai Village, Ketapang Regency: The Study of The Form and Cultural Identity

Abstract

Senggayung music classified as an idiophone musical instrument that is made of bamboo. Senggayung music only exist in Ketapang District, unique music that is not owned by other regions. This study aims to analyze the form of Senggayung music and identify the cultural identity of the Gerai Village community through Senggayung music. The approach used is an interdisciplinary approach involving ethnomusicology and anthropology disciplines. Technique of collecting data with observation, interview, and study of documentation. Data validity techniques use credibility with data triangulation techniques. Data analysis by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or withdrawal of conclusions. The results of this study show, When viewed from the organology, Senggayung belong to idiophone musical instruments made of bamboo. Senggayung is a music that reflects the cultural identity of the village community of Ketapang regency. Senggayung used in the process of community ceremony, before starting the elders read the Spells to raoh ancestors participate in the ceremony process. Senggayung taught to the young generation by the elders for Senggayung remain sustainable and not extinct. Some of the factors that make up the cultural identity are (1) belief, (2) language, (3) behavior pattern which is reflected in Senggayung is a cultural identity.

Pang Bas : a Musical Activity of Rindu Nada Bamboo Instrumental Group

Abstract

This research reveals Pang Bas as a musical activity in the context of social exchange in Rindu Nada bamboo instrumental group in Sumillan village, Alla district, Enrekang regency. The research was made to analyze Pang Bas of Rindu Nada group. It used interdisciplinary approach, involving the disciplines of sociology under the paradigm of social behavior. The researcher employed qualitative research method to conduct the research. The data of this research were collected from observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed in data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. The findings showed that Pang Bas musical activity of Rindu Nada occurred during the rehearsal and stage performance collaborating with external parties. The activity initiated the social exchange causing aggression, praises, leadership, deprivation, and boredom towards Pang Bas. Meanwhile, during the play, Pang Bas generated social interaction to outsiders as intrinsic rewards, such as friendship, satisfaction, and social status. The extrinsic reward of it was a material thing in return. There was also a stimuli of generalization in the next meeting and discrimination prior to the success of past performance.

Abstract

Kudai dance as a medium of collective expression of Semendesociety is identical with the women strength as the source of life. In the aspect of its performance, It contains social interaction through the symbols that is expressed through the aesthetics of the female body.The purpose of the article is to explain the symbolic meaning of Kuadai dance performance expressed by Semende society in Lampung.This research used qualitative method with interdisciplinary approach. The data collection used the technique of observation, interview, and documentation. The data validity was based on the credibility criteria with triangulation technique. The data analysis used the procedure of dance research by Gertrude Prokosch Kurath that is focused on dance analysis especially on symbol and meaning in Kuadai dance. The results showed that Kuadaidance is a form of tradition reality imitation which exists among Semendesociety as an agrarian society that outs forward the tradition of tunggu tubang (the first daughter as a shelter and a manager of family’s treasure. The personality of tunggu tubang that is full of patience, consistence, and responsibility is manifested through the Kuadai dance movements.The plate as property is a symbol of a respect as well as a representation of a woman that should be treated gently, carefully, lovingly, and with sacred. The dominant floor pattern symbolizes the Semende society that always respects the customs’ regulation. The dance accompaniment with slow tempo symbolizes Semende society that is full of tranquility and togetherness.

Sogug Musical Instrument to Build Musical Intelligence (Rhythm Element) in Early Childhood

Abstract

Sogug musical instrument is a type of traditional musical instrument, including rhythmic musical instruments from the Kalipare village community, Malang Regency. The research aims to describe how Sogug musical instruments can be used to stimulate rhythm sensitivity and how to apply Sogug musical instruments to children. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive data exposure. The research subjects of the group are Muslimat NU TK A Kalipare Malang, with observation, interview, and document study data collection techniques. Data validation techniques used in this research is source triangulation and data analysis techniques with data reduction, presentation of data and conclusions. The results showed that the Sogug musical instrument was appropriately used and appropriately applied as an alternative to stimulate early childhood musical intelligence (rhythm). It is because of the instruments and ways to play Sogug musical instruments is in accordance with the early childhood stages of growth, needs, abilities and physical motor development.

Abstract

The education of art and culture contributes to the development goals of the Indonesian nation in the form of collective art (integrated art) of the whole art. Concretely, traditional art form in Indonesia can be found in wayang art. Globalization and the development of ICT in the show world now have a negative impact on the lack of interest of the younger generation to recognize the performance of wayang art, especially Solo cultural city. The research on the background of the creation of the Heri Dono puppet legend involves the aspect of the idea (source of ideas) that underlies the artist in the wayang puppets way of being a new wayang. This research uses qualitative-descriptive approach. The object of research is the process of making and events Wayang Legend show. Sources of research data are informants, places, events, and documentation. Data obtained through observation techniques, interviews, and content analysis to examine existing document study, purposive sampling, and snowball sampling. The validity of the data is tested by triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis technique.The background of the Wayang Puppet creation Heri Dono stood on the consciousness of presenting himself, turning to tradition, and beginning in the 1980s. Experiencing puppet characters is related to understanding puppet show stories. Heri Dono reaffirms his belief that art is not separated from culture. Underlying his art making, he feels the need to develop the sensitivity to listen to the sounds and music, the sensitivity to motion and the sensitivity of telling. Heri Dono created two series of Legend Puppet: in 1988 "Si Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan" based on the legend of Batak society of North Sumatra and in 1992 "Momotaro" which raised the legend of Japanese society. The Legend Wayang Series uses vernacular as a medium for the disclosure of contemporary art; universal language is used to build communication within the sphere of the modern world, which incorporates the image of cartoons and comics.
