Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan rendahnya penguasaan konsep peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Biologi terutama materi ekositem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran tipe peer lesson terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep Biologi peserta didik kelas VII pada materi ekosistem di SMP Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung Tahun 2014/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperiment dan desain penelitian Pretest-Postest control group design, dan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan uji-t diperoleh thitung=4.029 sedangkan ttabel=1.674, oleh karena thitung>ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka dapat disimpulan bahwa strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe peer lesson memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep Biologi peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2014/2015 pada materi ekositem.

ABSTRACTOrchid epiphytes are orchids that attach to parts of plant such as stems, branches, or twigs that are still alive or dead. This study aims to determine the composition of epiphytic orchid species and their host species in the conservation area of Gunung Tilu, West Java. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. This research was conducted from January to March 2017 in Gambung Block that exist in natural reserve of Gunung Tilu, West Java. The results showed that epiphytic orchid species found in Gambung Block, Gunung Tilu Natural Reserve as many as 15 species. The species of host plant that places the epiphytic orchid consists of eight species, namely Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, and Trema amboinensis. Epiphytic orchids are widely distributed in three plant zone, i.e zone two, three and four. Keywords: Orchid epiphytes, Gunung Tilu, host plant, distribution ABSTRAK Anggrek epifit adalah anggrek yang menempel pada bagian pohon seperti batang, dahan, atau ranting pohon yang masih hidup maupun yang sudah mati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies anggrek epifit dan jenis pohon inangnya di kawasan konservasi cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017 di blok gambung yang ada pada cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa spesies anggrek epifit yang terdapat di blok gambung, Cagar Alam Gunung Tilu sebanyak 15 spesies. Jenis pohon inang yang menjadi tempat tinggal anggrek epifit terdiri atas delapan spesies yaitu Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, dan Trema amboinensis. Chromium Phytoremediation of Tannery Wastewater using Ceratophyllum demersum

Tanning industry produces liquid waste containing heavy metals, especially chromium harmful for ecosystems and human health. Phytoremediation is a technique that utilizes the physiologicalpotential of plants to transform contaminants to be less or non-hazardous. The aim of the research is to determine the efficiency of Ceratophyllum demersum L. to remediate chrome in tannery wastewater. The research used 84 strands of C. demersum compound leaves of 30 g wet weight. The treatments consist of the use of 7.74 mg/L, 11.30 mg/L, 17.00 mg/L and 23.73 mg/L concentrations of chromium and a control. The research was conducted using a static method. The design of the experiment was the complete random design with 3 replication of treatment in 14 days. The parameters observed were the efficiency of chromium phytoremediation, water turbidity, BOD, and total chlorophyll level of the leaves. The results showed that the highest efficiency was at the concentration of 7.74 mg/L with 1.7% chromium, 17.3% water turbidity, and 46% BOD. Meanwhile, the highest efficiency of total chlorophyll level was 3.88 mg/L, reached at the concentration of 17.00 mg/L. In conclusion, C. demersum is good to use as a phytoremediator of tannery wastewater at the concentration of 7.74 mg/L, subsequently, these results can be used as a basis for the consideration of the application implementation in the process of liquid waste reduction.

Food security is one of the health problems in Indonesia which is related to the lack of knowledge of how the production process, the hygiene and health of the food. This study aims to describe the sanitary and hygienic conditions of food sold by merchant in Cibiru, Bandung City, West Java. The study was conducted in May-June 2017 by determining five sampling location based on the number of merchant in Cibiru. Data was obtained through questionnaire filling of 40 respondents at each sampling point which was then analyzed to find out the characteristics of social-demographic of the respondents, personal hygiene, and support of environmental sanitation. The results shows that the sanitation and hygiene of food in the aspect of knowledge of personal hygiene showed that the food handler was experienced food processors (88%) and 12% had no experience even though their last education was not linear with their trading profession. In addition, respondents knowledge of individual hygiene shows that out of the nine aspects observed, 33% are in the high category, 11% are moderate and 56% are in the low category. Aspects of environmental sanitation and other support of food sanitation show that the conditions are in the clean and adequate category. All of these aspects can be used as a basic consideration in further counseling about food hygiene and food processing so that it can avoid unpredictable outbreaks.

Basically, education is a structured and systematic pattern that aims to improve human civilization, including biology teaching which is expected to contribute to the improvement of student behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate religious values ​​as an important part in biology lessons. This research aims to know the effect of applying faith and taqwa (IMTAQ) approach to Biology learning in improving meaningful learning, with learning outcomes in the form of conceptual mastery and affective improvement. The research was conducted by using quasi experimental method, which is expected to describe phenomenon, occurrence, and causal relationship as the impact of integritation value of religious on biology subjects in the school of MAN 2, Bandung. In the research focus, it is assumed that teachers have the ability to integrate general science materials with Islamic values. The results showed that the integration of Islamic values ​​through IMTAQ approach can improve the process and the students learning outcomes, significantly. Used of this approach can also improve teacher performance with three reasons; 1) learning time more effective and efficient, 2) learning more focused on analysis of study of general and religious knowledge, and 3) learning activities more controlled. Through this model, the acquisition of learning outcomes has increased the mastery of significant student concepts, as evidenced by the increasing grade of students of class XI IPA from pre-test (36) and post-tests (74) results, with N-Gain 0.58 (medium category). The average post-test score indicates that 80% have reached of KKM (70), whereas affective indicator is 4.24% (high qualification). This study demonstrates that the integration of Islamic values ​​through an approach of faith and taqwa in biology learning can improve the meaningfulness of learning, and similar concepts can be implemented in other subjects and other schools.

Interactions in fish community in an ecosystem can be assessed through food habits analysis. This study aims to assess the trophic structure of fish communities in Cisadea River. Fishes were collected using active and passive fishing gear at six locations representing upstream, midstream, and downstream areas at the dry season (June-November 2012). During the observation, sample was caught of 666 individuals consists of 48 species. A total of 250 individuals were analyzed for their food composition and digestive tract morphology to determine their trophic groups. Based on large group of organisms, fish community in Cisadea River consists three guild is carnivorous, omnivorous and herbivorous fish which dominated by carnivore and omnivore fish. Based on food organism taxon, the fishes were assigned to four groups i.e. insectivore, phy-toplanktivore, crustacivore, and molluscivore, with eight groups of food organisms (phytoplankton, insects, macrophytes, crustaceans, mollusc, fish, protozoa, and rotifers). In the upstream and midstream areas, the primary diet was insects and algae, whereas in the downstream the diet consists of algae, crustaceans, and insects. AbstrakInteraksi yang terjadi pada suatu komunitas ikan dapat dikaji melalui analisis makanan alaminya. Penelitian ini bertu-juan untuk mengkaji struktur trofik komunitas ikan di Sungai Cisadea. Ikan dikoleksi dengan menggunakan alat tang-kap aktif dan pasif di enam lokasi yang mewakili wilayah bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir selama musim kemarau (Juni-November 2012). Selama pengamatan, sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 666 individu yang termasuk dalam 48 spesies. Sebanyak 250 individu dianalisis komposisi makanannya dan morfologi saluran pencernaannya untuk mengetahui ke-lompok trofik pada komunitas ikan tersebut. Berdasarkan golongan besar organismenya, komunitas ikan di Sungai Cisadea terdiri atas tiga kelompok, yaitu karnivora, omnivora, dan herbivora dengan kelompok ikan yang mendominasi adalah ikan omnivora dan karnivora. Berdasarkan takson organisme makanannya, komunitas ikan di Sungai Cisadea dibagi menjadi empat kelompok, yaitu insektivora, fitoplanktivora, krustasivora, dan moluskivora. Kelompok takson organisme makanannya ialah fitoplankton, insekta, makrofita, krustase, moluska, ikan, protozoa, dan rotifer. Di wilayah sungai bagian hulu dan tengah makanan utama ikan terdiri atas insekta dan alga, sedangkan di bagian hilir terdiri atas alga, krustase, dan insekta.
