Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of the learning models on learning achievement viewed from the learning style of the students. The learning models compared were the cooperative learning model of the TGT type by using Cabri 3D, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type, and the direct learning model. The type of the research was a quasi-experimental research. Its population was all of the students in grade VIII of State Junior Secondary Schools of Metro City in academic year 2013/2014. The size of the sample was 278 students consisted of 90 in experimental class 1, 95 in experimental class 2, and 93 in control class. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test on the learning material of polyhedron and questionnaire of learning style. The data was analyzed by using two way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. The conclusions of the research were as follows. (1) The cooperative learning model of the TGT type by using Cabri 3D resulted in a better learning achievement than the cooperative learning model of the TGT type and the direct learning model, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type resulted in a better learning achievement than the direct learning model. (2) The students with the visual learning style had the same learning achievement as those with the kinesthetic learning style, and both of the group had a better learning achievement than those with the auditory learning style. (3) In each category of the learning style, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type by using Cabri 3D resulted in a better learning achievement than the cooperative learning model of the TGT type and the direct learning model, the cooperative learning model of the TGT type resulted in a better learning achievement than the direct learning model. (4) In each of the learning models, the students with the visual learning style had the same learning achievement as those with the kinesthetic learning style, and both of the group had a better learning achievement than those with the auditory learning style.Keywords: TGT , Cabri 3D, Learning Style.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the learning model on students mathematical communication. The learning model that is compared is a reflective learning model with realistic Islamic nuances and direct learning models. The type of research is comparative causal research. The sampling technique with simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques with documentation, questionnaires and tests. The population is all seventh grade students at MTs Al-Khairiyah Natar in the 2015/2016 school year. The sample size is 44 students consisting of 22 students in grade 1 and 22 in the control class 1. The instrument used is a mathematical communication test on quadrilateral learning material. Data were analyzed using t-test. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of reflective learning models with realistic mathematical approaches nuanced in Islam resulting in better mathematical communication skills than direct learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of contextual approaches assisted by Hands On Activity (HoA) on mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is comparative causal research with factorial design 3 × 1. The population of this research is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Semarang. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling. The sample of this research is students of class VIII B and VIII D. The instrument used to collect data is a test of mathematical problem solving ability of learners. Prior to use for data retrieval, the test instrument of mathematical problem solving ability was first tested. Assessment of validity of test instrument contents by 3 validators. Hypothesis test using two way Anova test with unequal cell. The conclusion of this research is that learners who get the application of contextual learning model with Hands on Activity has better problem solving ability than students who are given contextual learning model and conventional learning model, while the application of contextual learning model has better problem solving ability than the participants Students provided a contextual learning model and conventional learning model.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran picture and picture (PaP) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, pengaruh kategori kecerdasan spasial (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan interaksi antara pembelajaran PaP dengan kecerdasan spasial yang terjadi pada hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian quasi experimental dipilih untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian tersebut. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa MTs sebanyak 29 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 31 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi (anava) dua jalan kemudian dilanjutkan uji Sceffe' jika diperlukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran PaP terhadap hasil belajar siswa, terdapat pengaruh kecerdasan spasial terhadap hasil belajar siswa, dan tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran PaP yang diterapkan dan masing-masing kategori kecerdasan spasial terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran PaP bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa khususnya pada materi segiempat dan tingkat kecerdasan spasial mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Namun, belum ditemukan apakah interaksi keduanya mempengaruhi hasil belajar matematika siswa sehingga diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Picture and Picture; Kecerdasan Spasial; Hasil Belajar; Matematika [English]: The research was aimed at examining the effect of picture and picture (PaP) learning on students’ mathematics achievement, the effect of students' spatial intelligence on the achievement, and the interaction between PaP leaning and spatial intelligence toward the achievement. The quasi-experimental was used to achieve the research purposes. The sample was 29 junior high students as experimental group and 31 students as control group. Data analysis employed two paths of variance analysis (anova) and followed by Sceffe test if necessary. The research found that there was effect of PaP learning on the students’ achievement, spatial intelligence had influence on the achievement, and there was no interaction between PaP learning and the level of spatial intelligence toward the students’ achievement. The research concluded that PaP learning can be used to improve students’ achievement in mathematics especially for rectangular topic and the level of spatial intelligence affect students’ mathematics achievement.  However, this research has not found that the interaction of PaP learning and spatial intelligence affect the achievement. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi ajar pengajaran online (e-learning) pada materi bangunan ruang samping datar kelas VIII SMP N 1 Sekincau Lampung Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini adalah: Potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, berbasis kertas mengalir ke komputer berbasis, validasi produk, uji coba produk, revisi setelah uji coba. Media pembelajaran siap disebarluaskan secara online. Hasil penelitian ini adalah website media pembelajaran matematika yang dapat diakses melalui internet dengan alamat Matematika-asik.pe.hu. Berdasarkan tanggapan dan peringkat validator dari Website, hasil yang baik dikategorikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa situs media dengan pendekatan etnomatematik dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran materi untuk membangun ruang sisi datar siswa SMP N 1 Sekincau Lampung Barat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:(1)manakah yang memberikanprestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa yang dikenakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D, TGT, dan pembelajaran langsung; (2) manakah yang mempunyaiprestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan koneksi matematika kategori tinggi, sedang, atau rendah; (3) Pada masing-masing kategori kemampuan koneksi matematika, manakah yang mempunyai prestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa dikenakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D, TGT, dan pembelajaran langsung, dan (4) Pada masing-masing kategori model pembelajaran, manakah yang mempunyai prestasi belajar lebih baik antara siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematika kategori tinggi, sedang, atau rendah.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 3 × 3. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP di Kota Metro Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 278 peserta didik dengan rincian 90 siswa pada kelompok model TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D, 95 siswa pada kelompok model pembelajaran TGT, dan 93 siswa pada kelompok model pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes kemampuan mkoneksi matematika dan tes prestasi belajar. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama.Hasil penelitian ini adalah:1) Model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran TGT dan model pembelajaran langsung, serta model pembelajaran TGT menghasilkan prestasi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. 2) Siswa dengankemampuan koneksi matematis kategori tinggi dan siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori sedang mempunyai prestasi belajar yang sama, sementara keduanyamempunyai prestasi belajar yang lebih baik dibandingkan siswa dengankemampuan koneksi matematis kategori rendah. 3) Pada masing-masing tipe kemampuan koneksi matematis (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah), penerapan model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D menghasilkan prestasi belajar lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran TGT dan model pembelajaran langsung, serta model pembelajaran TGTmenghasilkan prestasi lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. 4) Pada masing-masing model pembelajaran (TGT berbantuan Cabri 3D, TGT,dan langsung), siswa dengankemampuan koneksi matematis kategori tinggi dan siswa dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori sedang mempunyai prestasi belajar yang sama, sementara keduanyamempunyai prestasi belajar yang lebih baik dibandingkan siswa dengankemampuan koneksi matematis kategori rendah.

Abstract

The ability to understand a concept in the learning of mathematics is something that is required by each learner. But in fact show that in the learning process, teaching materials used have not trained learners in doing a discovery and learners less active in the learning process. This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of a didactic design module teaching materials Algebra on Mathematics Subjects for Class VIII Semester 1 Subject material Algebra in SMP Negeri 1 Pakuan Ratu. The teaching materials module with didactic design is a module in the form of a learner's guide which contains information, materials about Algebra, examples of problems as well as exercise questions, in accordance with the problems that natural learners on learning materials, this instructional material is made to petrify participants educated in solving problems on Algebra material. Based on the results of research, Didactic instructional materials developed by researchers deserve to be used according to the validation results of material experts, linguists, education practitioners, media experts, and help learners to learn more independently and comfortable in the learning process as well as learners are very interested in teaching materials (modules) of this didactic design.

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility of media-based learning Blog in learning mathematics on trigonometric subjects. This development research uses 8 stages from 10 stages of borg and gall method that are potential and problem, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, product test, product revision and mass production. Learning media blogs are developed with the help of adobe flash which aims to provide some animation. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Batanghari class X students. The assessment instrument used was questionnaire of feasibility test by media expert, Expert of Material, and Questionnaire of student response. The results of the research are: 1) Based on the validation of material expert judgments obtained an average score of 4.65 is located in the category of "Very Good". Validation of expert media judgment obtained an average score of 4.35 in the category of "Very Good". Validation of the linguists assessment obtained an average score of 4.5 that is in the category of "Very Good". In addition, the results of small-scale test responses of learners obtained a score of 4.23 on the criteria of "Very Good", and while on a large-scale test the learners response to get an average score of 4, 19 is on the criteria of "Good". Thus it can be concluded learning media berbantuan blog is in good category and can be used in learning, especially on Trigonometry material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) Is there any difference between students’ mathematical representation ability who were taught by using the learning model of Project Based Learning with students who were taught by Guided Discovery Learning. (2) Is there any difference in the students' mathematical representation ability based on high, medium, or low learning motivation categories. (3) Is there an interaction between the learning model and the learning motivation toward mathematical representation ability. This research type was quasi experiment. This research was a quasi experimental research with 2x3 factorial design. Instrument used to collect data was test of representation ability and learning motivation questionnaire. The hypothesis testing used two way analysis of variance with unequal cell. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that (1) There is a difference in the students' mathematical representation ability that was taught by using Project Based Learning model with students who were taught by sing Guided Discovery Learning model with sig value. <0.05 i.e. .000 <0.05 (2) There is a difference in the students’mathematical representation ability based on high, medium, or low learning motivation category with sig value. <0.05 ie .017 <0.05 (3) There is an interaction between the learning model and the learning motivation on the mathematical representation ability with the sig value. <0.05 ie .002 <0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok berbantuan perangkat lunak maple, dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran model investigasi kelompok, maupun peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional yang dilakukan oleh peneliti pada peserta didik kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain posttest only control design. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji anava satu jalan dengan sel tak sama dan didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok lebih baik dari model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok berbantuan perangkat lunak maple dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut lebih baik dari model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan terhadap data penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang dikelasnya menerapkan model pembelajaran group investigation berbantuan software maple, siswa yang dikelasnya hanya menerapkan model pembelajaran group investigation, dan siswa yang kelasnya menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional pada pokok pembahasan matriks.
