Abstract

Article intended to find out the most frequent ambiguity that could be found in the sentences and the intended meaning. Data were taken from Kaskus and Facebook web sites, and then tests were given to students who had learned syntax and semantics to know their ability in noticing ambiguous sentences. The results show that there are among 13 sentences or phrases, 12 of them are lexically ambiguous and 1 sentence is structurally ambiguous. From the result, it can be concluded that there are many people making an ambiguous sentence without realizing it.

Abstract

Background: Pulp inflammation can be marked by the increase of prostaglandin E2(PGE2) level compared to normal pulp. The increase of PGE2 may lead to vasodilatation, increase of vascular permeability, pain and bone resorption. Watermelon frost has been well known in Chinese society for pain relief and inflammation in oral cavity and teeth. Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate that watermelon frost can be used to decrease the PGE2 level. Method: 27 samples of pulp tissues used in this in-vitro study, were extirpated from the patients’ teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis referred to clinic of Conservative Dentistry, RSPGM Faculty of Dentistry, USU. Trial materials were applied to 27 samples i.e. watermelon frost as a trial material and commercial watermelon frost and eugenol to observe their effect on PGE2. PGE2 level of each material was detected through ELISA method by measuring and comparing the absorbance reading of the wells of the samples against standards with a micro plate reader at W1 = 650 nm and W2 = 490 nm. Result: The result showed the biggest effect was found in the third group (eugenol), mean 4.6933, followed by the first group (watermelon frost as a trial material), mean 18,1578 then the second group (commercial watermelon frost), mean 82,2689. OneWay ANOVA revealed that there were significant differences among all trial materials (p < 0.001) on PGE2 level. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that watermelon frost can be used to decrease the PGE2 level in inflamed pulp tissue and led to the acceptance of traditional medicine and natural products as an alternative form of dental care.

Abstract

Gigi imatur dengan nekrosis pulpa akibat trauma , karies atau pathosispulpa. Dimana pembentukan dentin terganggu dan perkembangan akarberhenti sehingga terjadi perubahan warna gigi. Mineral trioxideaggregate (MTA) adalah bahan alternatif yang dapat digunakan untukapeksifikasi apeks terbuka karena biokompatibilitasnya, nonmutagenisitas,non-neurotoksisitas, kemampuan regeneratif, dan sifatseal yang baik. Pada kasus ini penggunaan MTA sebagai plug apikal,pada gigi yang imature dengan apeks terbuka merupakan keputusanyang tepat. Tujuan dari laporan kasus ini adalah menjelaskanpenggunaan MTA sebagai apical pluq pada gigi insisivus lateralmaksila dengan diagnosis pulpa nekrosis dengan apeks terbuka dandilanjutkan bleaching internal. Seorang pasien pria 43 tahun yangdatang ke RSGM, Universitas Sumatera Utara dengan keluhan utamagigi yang berubah warna . Pemeriksaan radiografi menunjukkan apeksterbuka untuk gigi #12. Setelah cleaning and shapping dilakukan,kalsium hidroksida ditempatkan sebagai medikamen intracanal. MTAdiletakkan kedalam saluran akar dengan ketebalan 3-4 mmmenggunakan hand pluggers. Obturasi dengan gutta-perchatermoplastik. Penggunaan MTA telah banyak direkomendasikan untukkasus apeks terbuka. Karena memiliki apical seal yang baik,biokompatibilitas dan kemampuan regenerasi jaringan periodontal.Setelah di Follow up tidak adanya keluhan baik secara klinis maupunradiografi. Laporan kasus ini menunjukkan MTA sebagai bahanalternatif untuk apical plug pada metode konvensional apeksifikasi.

Abstract

In this paper, we propose an approach to detect and geotag advertisement billboard in real-time condition. Our approach is using AlexNet’s Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) as a pre-trained neural network with 1000 categories for image classification. To improve the performance of the pre-trained neural network, we retrain the network by adding more advertisement billboard images using inductive transfer learning approach. Then, we fine-tuned the output layer into advertisement billboard related categories. Furthermore, the detected advertisement billboard images will be geotagged by inserting Exif metadata into the image file. Experimental results show that the approach achieves 92.7% training accuracy for advertisement billboard detection, while for overall testing results it will give 71,86% testing accuracy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana feminitas direpresentasikan melalui film Miracle In Cell No. 7. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan paradigma yang bersifat kritis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mendokumentasi adegan-adegan dalam film yang mengandung unsur feminitas. Analisis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan analisis Semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa feminitas tidak hanya identik dengan karakter perempuan, laki-laki juga dapat menjadi seseorang yang memiliki sifat feminin. Selain itu, secara tidak langsung film ini menentang keberadaan budaya patriarki yang terdapat di Korea, dimana laki-laki yang pada umumnya berkuasa di negara Korea, dalam film ini berubah menjadi laki-laki yang dikuasai. Representasi feminitas dalam film ini diperlihatkan melalui penggambaran karakter ayah yang menunjukkan emosinya, seperti perasaan takut dan menangis. Selain itu, feminitas juga ditunjukkan melalui penggambaran karakter ayah yang tertindas, tidak berdaya, dan dikuasai.
