Abstract

The objective of this classroom action research was to identify impact of the implementation of curriculum 2013 on science thematic learning by using school environment media to improve students’ science process skill. Classroom action research design The design of the classroom action research applies cycle model that, consists of planning, action, observation and reflection steps. Research subjects were fourth grade students in one of elementary schools in Magelang. Data analysis technique was quantitative and qualitative descriptive data analysis. Science process skill data of the student were described in percentage and then classified in categories to describe the achievement level of each assessment aspect. Students’ science process skills in cycle I was 84.5% whereas in cycle II was 87.1%, therefore we concluded that the implementation of curriculum 2013 on scientific thematic learning by using school environment media can improve students’ science process skill, in which it increased learning quality in “Peduli terhadap Makhluk Hidup” theme and “Ayo Cintai Lingkungan” subtheme.  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pembelajaran tematik menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan media lingkungan sekolah sehingga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas yang diambil yaitu model siklus, yang pada setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah dasar (SD) di Magelang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Data keterampilan proses dan penguasaan konsep siswa dideskripsikan dalam persentase kemudian diklasifikasikan dalam kategori untuk mengetahui tingkatan keberhasilan setiap aspek penilaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil penilaian keterampilan proses sains siswa pada siklus I adalah 84,5% sedangkan pada siklus II adalah 87,1%. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pembelajaran tematik menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan media lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses siswa, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran khususnya pada tema Peduli terhadap Makhluk Hidup dan subtema Ayo Cintai LingkunganKata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, media lingkungan sekolah, pembelajaran tematik saintifik

Abstract

The need for medical albumin is currently at 91%, which is relatively expensive price of albumin causes many people to switch to a cheap source of albumin of snakehead fish. This led to the exploitation of snakehead fish on a large scale so that the fish populations in natural will experience deterioration. Until now, the snakehead fish has not been cultivated by farmers because the fish is not a commodity featured and high production costs of the feed sector. Meanwhile, the potential for additional material feed nutrients are available quite easily and cheaply from the waste tofu. Utilization of bagasse as a mixture of snakehead fish feed can be an alternative to reduce the cost of the feed without reducing the quality of fish in terms of content snakehead fish albumin. In addition, tofu is used as dietary supplement of snakehead fish is expected to reduce the rate of environmental pollution caused by waste agricultural products. The method was used in this research is experimental. Snakehead fish is reared for 17 days with one control and four treatments of feed that is, commercial feed with a mixture of 20%, 40%, 50% and 70% tofu waste. After 17 days of snakehead fish from each treatment were analyzed its albumin levels. The data analysis using regression and correlation to determine the relationship between the treatments of feed against the observed variables. Results of regression and correlation analysis shows that administration of tofu waste in different concentrations has no effect on the feed exhibited significantly to weight and body length of the fish, the oxygen content, pH, water temperature, weight of the test sample and albumin levels in fish flesh. But the determinant of constant value shows that there is one variable that have relevance to the treatment. Based on Pearson correlation test, it is known that high levels of tofu waste given to the feed associated with increased levels of albumin catfish at each treatment. The highest levels of snakehead fish albumin is 4,835 g/100 g of fish meat on the treatment of 70% tofu waste out on feed, while the lowest levels of albumin is contained in the 2286 control treatment that is 0% tofu waste to the snakehead feed.

Abstract

Ceriops tagal are found at Segara Anakan Cilacap, Baluran National Park and Karimunjawa National Park. Information on the genetic diversity can be used for conservation policy. Genetic variation of C. tagal were analysed by using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD). This study aims to determine the genetic variation in each population and between populations C. tagal based on RAPD markers. The total DNA was extracted with CTAB extraction method. Amplification was performed using 10 primer (OPA-3, OPA-10, OPB-1, OPB-6, OPB-7, OPB-8, OPB-10, OPB-12, OPB-17 and OPB-18).  Amplification includes pradenaturation at 94°C for 5 min, followed by 45 cycles of denaturation at 94°C for 1 min, primer annealing at 37°C for 1 min, and primer elongation on 72°C for 1 min 30 sec, final extension at 72°C for 5 min and ends with holding at 4°C for 1 min. The analysis was done by changing the pattern of fragments to binary data (for bands appear = "1" and for bands do not appear = "0"). It is done using a program GenAlEx 2.1 and NTSYS-PC 6.1. A population that has the highest genetic variation (h) was Segara Anakan (0.308), followed by Baluran (0.295) and Karimunjawa (0.123). Baluran has the highest polymorphism (75.00%), Segara Anakan 69.23%, while Karimunjawa was 30.77%. The results of AMOVA, showed that the percentage of genetic variation within populations is greater (77%) than among populations (23%). The results of PCA analysis showed a similar pattern of genetic distance and UPGMA. Samples of Karimunjawa clustered with samples of the population, SA1 and SA3 likely close to the sample of Karimunjawa and SA2 are likely not one group with another sample of the Segara Anakan. Results of mantel test, the value of r = 0.347 and p = 0.02.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Prophetic leadership training to improve character education in students at MuhammadiyahUniversity of Magelang. Subjects in this study are 22 subjects. The data collected and measured by using a modified propheticleadership scale, observation using anecdotal record, check list methods, and semi-structured interviews.The method in this study is experiment with the one Group Pretest-postest Design. Data analysis using wilcoxon signed rankstest. The comparison of character education on the students before the training (pretest) and after posttest known Sig 0,000value (sig value <0,05) which means hypothesis accepted The result of this study shows that Prophetic leadership training beable to improve the character education to students. The Students character education increased after the training.

Abstract

Science in Elementary School aims to enable students to understand science concepts, process skills, have an interest in studyingthe natural surroundings, the scientific attitude and be able to apply the concepts of science. Submission of science just by generallecturing and examination tend to make students bored and mastery of the science by the students less than the maximum.Submission of science by providing hands on experience to students through the use of KIT is one alternative in science learning.The aim of this research is to know how the impact of science KIT training towards the development of scientific capabilitiesfor elementary school teachers in Magelang. This pre-experimental study using a sample of 14 teachers from 12 primary schoolsin Magelang. Data collection techniques used in this research is through questionnaires, while data analysis using descriptivestatistics of the questionnaire. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that science KIT training can provide apositive impact on the development of the scientific capabilities of the teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of integration of environment-based education in science subjects to environmental awareness of students in Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang. This research uses pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang with the number of 360 students. The samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, that is third and fifth grader students. Twenty students of Class IIIA and nineteen students of Class VB are taken as control group. Twenty students of Class IIIC and eighteen students of Class VA are taken as experimental group. Environmental awareness data was taken using a questionnaire. Hypothesis analysis in this study was conducted using non-parametric test, Mann-Whiteney by SPSS software. Based on the hypothesis test using Mann-Whiteney, it is known that the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) in grade III is 0.004 <0.05 while in grade V is 0.015 <0.05. Can be interpreted that there is a significant influence of integration of environment-based education through science subjects to environmental awareness of students in Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang.
