Abstract

This study aims to describe the ideological construction in the Liberal Islam Network (LIN)’s religious discourses through lexico-grammatical features, namely vocabulary,grammar, and text structure. This was a qualitative study employing the critical discourseanalysis approach. The research data were words, phrases, clauses, sentences, andparagraphs. The data sources were texts from articles, reports, comments, press releases,and rubrics produced and published by LIN through www.islamlib.com. The findingsshow that the lexico-grammatical features are used to construct LIN’s ideology. Vocabularyincludes classification, lexicalization, meaning relations, and metaphors. Grammar includessentence modes, modality, personal pronouns, and passivization. Text structure includesinteractional convention with participant control and text arrangement and sequencing.Interaction convention includes confirmation, topic direction, and formulation. Textarrangement and sequencing use general patterns and development patterns.

Abstract

A complex sentence is a sentence that has two or more clauses. Those clauses are associated with coordination or subordination markers. The complex sentences is used in composing a short strory especially the short story of fantasy. This research uses descriptive qualitatif method with syntactic analysis design. The results of the research was to bescribe complex sentence form. Based on the number of the closes, complex sentences are classsified by six types, namely (1) complex sentences of two clauses, (2) complex sentences of three clauses, (3) complex sentences of four clauses, (4) complex sentences five clauses, (5) complex sentences six clauses, and (6) complex sentences of seven clauses.Kalimat kompleks adalah  suatu kalimat yang memiliki dua klausa atau lebih. Klausa dalam kalimat tersebut dihubungkan dengan pemarkah koordinasi atau subordinasi. Kalimat kompleks digunakan dalam penyusunan karangan, terutama karangan cerita fantasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode penelitian analisis sintaktis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan wujud kalimat kompleks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat enam wujud kalimat kompleks dilihat dari jumlah klausanya, yaitu (1) kalimat kompleks dua klausa, (2) kalimat kompleks tiga klausa, (3) kalimat kompleks empat klausa, (4) kalimat kompleks lima klausa, (5) kalimat kompleks enam klausa, dan (6) kalimat kompleks tujuh klausa.

Abstract

Teaching reading comprehension of short stories needs particular strategy and knowledge of students’ cognitive styles. One of the strategies to teach reading comprehension of short stories is PQ4R integrated with concept mapping. There are two types of students’ cognitive styles, field dependent and field independent. This research is aimed to investigating the effect of PQ4R integrated with concept mapping strategy, the effect of the students’ cognitive styles and the interaction of both on reading comprehension ability of the seventh grade students of Junior High School 3 Malang. It is a quantitative research. Data generated in the form of test scores were analyzed using Ancova test.Mengajarkan membaca pemahaman teks cerpen perlu strategi dan pengetahuan mengenai gaya kognitif siswa. Strategi yang dapat digunakan dalam membaca pemahaman teks cerpen ialah strategi PQ4R berbantuan peta konsep. Gaya kognitif yang dapat dimiliki oleh siswa, yaitu  field dependent dan field independent. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi PQ4R berbantuan peta konsep, pengaruh gaya kognitif, dan interaksi keduanya terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks cerpen siswa SMP Negeri 3 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Data yang dihasilkan berupa skor tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Ancova.

Abstract

This development research can produce a Critical Reading model for argumentation text learning in class X SMA/SMK. The Critical Reading Model has nine stages, reading skimming; Make inquiries; Facts and opinions; Happy alignment; Main idea development framework; Tap refill content; Prevention of spelling errors, inaccurate choice of words, ineffectiveness of sentences, and inaccuracy of paragraph development; Conclude; And verification This development research uses the Dick and Carey procedures. The validation of the products carried out on three aspects, namely (a) the feasibility of the concept of the model, (b) the feasibility of the model steps, and (c) the feasibility of the model on the level of understanding. Meanwhile, field testing was conducted to determine the feasibility and response of learners to the application of the model. Based on validation and field test results, it can be concluded that Critical Reading Model is suitable to be applied in learning to read critical argument text.Penelitian pengembangan ini dilaksanakan untuk menghasilkan model Membaca Kritis dalam pembelajaran teks argumentasi. Model Membaca Kritis memiliki sembilan tahap, yaitu (1) membaca skimming; (2) membuat pertanyaan; (3) mengidentifikasi fakta dan opini; (4) mengidentifikasi keselarasan; (5) mengidentifikasi pengembangan ide pokok; (6) mengidentifikasi ketepatan hubungan isi; (7) mengidentifikasi kesalahan ejaan, ketidaktepatan pilihan kata, dan ketidakefektifan kalimat, dan ketidaktepatan pengembangan paragraf; (8) menyimpulkan; (9) memverifikasi. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Validasi produk yang dilakukan meliputi tiga aspek, yakni (a) kelayakan konsep model, (b) kelayakan langkah-langkah model, dan (c) kelayakan model terhadap tingkat pemahaman. Sementara itu, uji coba produk dilakukan terhadap sembilan tahap model pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan uji produk dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Membaca Kritis layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran membaca kritis teks argumentasi.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce a product of teaching materials to write opinion articles to improve the ability to write opinion articles for students of class XII. In particular, the purpose of this research and development is to develop teaching materials to write opinion articles with Brainstorming method in the class XII students packed in a printed book. To achieve these objectives used the modification of Borg and Gall learning design development. Teaching materials to write opinion articles for students of class XII is a product developed by containing four competencies to write opinion articles. The four competencies are (1) competence in writing facts and opinions, (2) writing reasoning competence, (3) competence of text structure of opinion, and (4) writing text competence and opinion article.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk bahan ajar menulis artikel opini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis artikel opini bagi siswa kelas XII. Secara khusus, tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis  artikel  opini dengan metode Curah Gagasan pada siswa kelas XII yang dikemas dalam buku cetak. Untuk mencapai tujuan  tersebut digunakan modifikasi pengembangan desain pembelajaran Borg dan Gall. Bahan ajar menulis artikel opini untuk siswa kelas XII merupakan produk yang dikembangkan dengan memuat empat kompetensi menulis artikel opini. Keempat kompetensi tersebut adalah (1) kompetensi penulisan fakta dan opini, (2) kompetensi penulisan penalaran, (3) kompetensi penyusunan struktur teks opini, dan (4) kompetensi penulisan teks serta artikel opini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the influence learning model KDP-Media on the ability to write a text explanation of complex class XI SMA based on four aspects, namely (1) the organization of content, (2) development paragraph general statements, (3) development of paragraph series of explanatory, and (4) the formulation of the title. This study uses a quantitative research approach with quasi-experimental research design or quasi experimental. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences scores post-test students experimental class and control class on the organization of the content of the text (p = 0.027), paragraph development general statement (p =0.010), paragraph development series of explanatory (p = 0.021), and the formulation of the title text (p = 0.027).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh model pembelajaran PPK-Media terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi kompleks siswa kelas XI SMA berdasarkan empat aspek, yakni (1) pengorganisasian isi, (2) pengembangan paragraf pernyataan umum, (3) pengembangan paragraf deret penjelas, dan (4) perumusan judul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif  dengan rancangan penelitian eksperimen semu atau quasi eksperimental. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan skor pascates siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol mengenai pengorganisasian isi teks (p = 0,027), pengembangan paragraf pernyataan umum (p = 0,010), pengembangan paragraf deret penjelas (p = 0,021), dan perumusan judul teks (p = 0,027).

Abstract

The focus of this research is local wisdom high school students of class IX, the short story collection classes. Local knowledge, the delivery of local knowledge, and local wisdom motif. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and study analys desciptive. Data such as the students transcripts plus interview and quistionnaire footage. The results of this study, local wisdom is influenced by the environment students, delivery of most use of local knowledge I lyrical, and local knowledge to save cultural motifs.Fokus penelitian ini adalah kearifan lokal siswa kelas IX SMA dalam kumpulan cerpen kelas. Kearifan lokal, penyampaian kearifan lokal, dan motif kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan kajian deskriptif analis. Data berupa tulisan siswa ditambah transkrip rekaman wawancara dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini, kearifan lokal dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan siswa, penyampaian kearifan lokal paling banyak menggunakan aku liris, dan motif kearifan lokal menyelamatkan budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure, strategy, and the interactional functions of conversation that took place during the teaching and learning process of Indonesian for Academic Purposes at the Department of Legal Study, Universitas Wisnuwardhana Malang. This is a mono-site qualitative descriptive study. The findings showed that the classroom conversations contain three types of conversational structures (transaction, turn-taking, and move), three types of conversational strategies (initiation, negotiation, and elicitation), and four conversational functions (declaring, asking, giving commands, and expressing feelings). The use of negotiation strategy in expressing an apology and gratitude is a new phenomenon in a formal conversation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan wujud dan tataan wujud tanggapan kritis dalam teks. Berdasarkan fungsi kalimat dan/atau paragraf dalam teks, wujud tanggapan kritis dapat diklasifikasikan atas wujud tanggapan kritis berupa kritik, saran, ajakan, dan pendapat penulis. Berdasarkan alas yang digunakan dalam teks, tataan wujud tanggapan kritis dapat diklasifikasikan atas tataan wujud tanggapan kritis beralaskan kritik, ajakan, dan pendapat penulis.

Abstract

Abstract: This development research aims (1) to produce instructional material to write a text of report on observations that are feasible in terms of content by covering aspects of identifying and constructing the text of the observation report and (2) testing the effectiveness of teaching materials to write the text of the observation report. The research-development method was adapted from Borg and Gall's model. Product feasibility test results are include 82% content, 82% systematic presentation, 83% language feasibility, and 85% display feasibility. The results of the test of the effectiveness of the product are known p = 0.000 (p <0.01). Thus the product has a significant influence on the learning result of  report on observation text writing.Abstrak: Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar menulis teks laporan hasil observasi yang layak dari segi isi, meliputi aspek mengidentifikasi dan mengonstruksi teks laporan hasil observasi dan (2) menguji keefektifan bahan ajar menulis teks laporan hasil observasi. Metode penelitian pengembangan diadaptasi dari model Borg dan Gall. Hasil uji kelayakan produk meliputi kelayakan isi 82%, kelayakan sistematika penyajian 82%, kelayakan bahasa 83%, dan kelayakan tampilan 85%. Hasil uji keefektifan produk diketahui nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). Dengan demikian, produk memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi.
