Abstract

AbstractThis study discusses the comparison between the existence and the implementation of Islamic Education in Indonesia and Malaysia both fromreligious educational institutions and public educational institutions. The main problem focuses on: what are the issues that covered equality and differences based on the existence and implementation, and also what matters are dominantly and substantially considered as supporting factors for the cause of those two points (existence and implementation). Methodologically, this study uses library research with qualitative approach as sources in writing. The study describes the policy from the two countries toward Islamic Education including their goals and objectives. In addition, this study is also exploring the development of Islamic Education in the two countries based on the historical facts and current situation. The result of this study indicates that Islamic education plays an important role in developing both nations, and as such, it is granted a special position in the national educational laws of both of these states.AbstrakStudi ini membahas perbandingan antara keberadaan dan implementasi Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dan Malaysia baik dari lembaga pendidikan agama maupun lembaga pendidikan umum. Masalah utamanya berfokus pada: isu apasaja yang mencakup persamaan dan perbedaan berdasarkan keberadaan dan implementasi, dan juga hal-hal yang secara dominan dan secara substansial dianggap sebagai faktor penunjang penyebab dua poin tersebut (keberadaan dan implementasi). Secara metodologis, studi ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif sebagai sumber dalam penulisan. Penelitian ini menggambarkan kebijakan dari kedua negara terhadap Pendidikan Islam termasuk tujuan dan sasaran mereka. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi perkembangan Pendidikan Islam di kedua negara berdasarkan fakta sejarah dan situasi saat ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam memegang peran penting dalam mengembangkan kedua negara, dan karena itu diberikan posisi khusus dalam undangundang pendidikan nasional di kedua negara ini.

Abstract

Kebutuhan masyarakat (khususnya masyarakat Indonesia) terhadap konseling Islami dalam aspek-aspek pokok dimaksud merupakan upaya pengukuhan citra diri sebagai manusia muslim Indonesia. Fenomena konseling Islami sebenarnya telah tercermin sejak lama, yakni setua usia pondok pesantren. Para kyai dan ajengan merupakan tokoh-tokoh utama yang menjadi figur sentral tempat bertanya para santri dan masyarakat sekitarnya. Berbagai problema berupa persoalan ekonomi, kegelisahan batin, masalah jodoh, perselisihan dalam keluarga, pendidikan anak, hingga gangguan psikis yang telah parah dihadapkan pada kyai dan ajengan tersebut. Dengan demikian, santri atau masyarakat merasa telah mendapatkan jalan keluar yang memuaskan. Dalam hal ini, jelas bahwa pondok pesantren tidak hanya sebagai lembaga pendidikan agama Islam, tetapi juga berperan sebagai pengayom batin masyarakat.

Abstract

Indonesia dengan dasar negara pancasila berpenduduk mayoritas muslim, tak urung dihadapkan kepada masalah pendidikan tinggi, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan pembangunan. Dalam hal ini, masyarakat muslim Indonesia menyadari betapa seyogyanya reformasi tidak seharusnya lagi hanya dilakukan secara ad hoc dan parsial,  tetapi harus bersifat komprehensif, baik pada tataran konsep maupun penyelenggaraannya; bukan lagi ad hoc dan incremental seperti pada masa silam. Yang terpenting perlu dikembangkan kebijaksanaan makro dan mikro yang menekankan penyiapan anak bangsa dengan seperangkat kemampuan, kecakapan dan motivasi dalam aktualisasi dan institusionalisasi masyarakat madani Indonesia. Karakteristiknya, masyarakat belajar yang tumbuh dari masyarakat, oleh masyarakat dan untuk masyarakat yang menempatkan pendidikan sebagai proses sepanjang hayat (min al-mahdi ila al-lahd atau long life education) dan menjadikan nation and character building inti dan salah satu tujuan pokoknya.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the participation of the regional government of Mandailing Natal District on the development of Islamic education in this area. This is descriptive research with no number at all in describing data. The data are taken from the interview with all stakeholder or the district of Mandailing Natal including the head of district, Regional Secretary of Madailing Natal District, the head of Ministry of Religious Affairs of Madailing Natal and also the treasure of Madailing Natal District. The findings show that Mandailing Natal district allocates budget for developing Islamic education trough advising on religious particularly in advising the Islam religion. Furthermore, Mandiling government gives the land for developing building of The State Collage for Islamic Studies of Madailing Natal. Moreover, advising for Islamic teacher is as well programmed by Mandailing government to increase the capacity and quality of Islamic teacher in this district. However, due to Islamic institution is under authority of the ministry of Religious Affairs and centered from Jakarta, regional government could not allocated more budget to defray all operational need of Islamic education institution. Therefore, it should be find some resolution from regulation and political will of the national government or regional government

Abstract

This research based on interest of researcher about Thought of Nukman Sulaiman and His contribution in Islamic Education. Nukman Sulaiman is a theologian which is not many people did research about his thougt in education field, mean while Nukman Sulaiman is a very productive theologian in deliver paper of research dan active in scientific activity especially in Islamic education in Al Wasliyah in North Sumatera. Based on that reason this research formulate two problem formulation: 1. What is specification Islamic education purpose of Nukman Sulaiman? 2. Describe and analyze Nukman Sulaiman Thought  about Islamic education purpose? As for purpose of this research is: Describe and analyze education purpose of Nukman Sulaiman. As for this research is quantitative in design library research and using character study approach and data analyze technique that used triangulation technique. Result of research analyze study thought of Islamic education Nukman Sulaiman is: Specification education purpose formulated by Nukman Sulaiman is to forming believer and devoted human, knowledgeable, virtous, smart and clever in reaching happiness of the world and the hereafter. Those purpose is suitable with purpose of national education dan meaning content from education purpose in integration education purpose between world science and esthacology.
