Abstract

The limited number of potato seed caused the demand  The demand to be unfulfilled especially in South Sulawesi. The use of pathogen-free seeds is absolutely necessary that can be obtained through tissue culture. This study aims to determine the effect of adding coconut water on the growth of in vitro potato plant cuttings and the most effective type of treatment. This research used Varying Concentration of the coconut water, then measure its effect on potato growth (a high number of leaves and plantlets). This study consisted of 4 treatments: TQ0 (without coconut milk), TQ1 (100 ml/l), TQ2 (150ml/l), and TQ3 (200 ml/l). The results showed that the addition of coconut water on the growth of micro cuttings of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) gave significant effect on the observed parameters, leaf number and plantlets weight. While TQ2 gave the best effect on the growth of in vitro micro cutting of potato.

Abstract

Abstract:This study was a research and development where the students’ worksheet deve-lopment was oriented on scientific approach of Biology subject with valid, prac-tical, and effective criteria. The procedure of students’ worksheet development was based on the development model of Thiangarajan, Semmel and Semmel (4-D) which consisted of 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and dis-seminating. The results revealed that: (1) in general, students’ worksheet which oriented on scientific approach (draft I) was valid. (2) in general, the result of limited trial of draft II has already met the practical criteria. (3) in general, the trial result of draft II has already met the criteria of effectiveness. The observation re-sults during the learning which employed scientific approach were; (a) the stu-dents responds positively towards the use of the worksheet, (b) the students’ lear-ning result has already met the individual and the classical completeness criteria.Abstrak:Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berorientasi pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran biologi dengan kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif. Tujuan tersebut dicapai dengan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Prosedur pengembangannya mengacu pada model pengembangan Thiangarajan, Semmel dan Semmel (4-D) yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan: pendefenisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil uji coba draft I dinyatakan valid; (2) hasil uji coba terbatas draft II memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan; dan (3) hasil uji coba draf II telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan. Hasil pengamatan selama pem-belajaran berorientasi pendekatan saintifik adalah: (a) peserta didik merespon po-sitif penggunaan LKPD; (b) hasil belajar peserta didik memenuhi syarat ketun-tasan individual dan syarat ketuntasan klasikal dengan menggunakan LKPD berorientasi pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran biologi.

Abstract

AbstrakMedia gambar berbasis potensi lokal adalah suatu media pembelajaran yang berisi gambar beranekaragam spesies yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan pengembangan media pembelajaran ini yaitu untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana proses pengembangan media gambar berbasis potensi lokal yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development)  yang mengacu pada model 4-D modifikasi S. Thiagarajan, dkk. Model pengembangan 4-D terdiri atas 4 tahap utama yaitu: Define (Pendefinisian), Design  (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Berdasarkan data uji coba kevalidan, media pembelajaran yang telah direvisi berada pada kategori sangat valid dengan nilai rata-rata semua aspek yaitu 3,6. Sedangkan penilaian untuk hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 78,38%, jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas dalam proses pembelajaran adalah 25 orang atau 86,20% dan 4 orang atau 13,79% peserta didik yang tidak tuntas. Hal ini menandakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif digunkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Respon siswa lebih dari 80% memberikan respon positif terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan  serta berminat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa media gambar berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan memenuhi kategori valid, efektif dan praktis sehingga bisa dikatakan layak untuk digunakan.AbstractLocal based image based media is a learning medium that contains image of a wide variety of species present in the environment. The purpose of developing a valid image based media local potencial practical ans effective. This research includes research and development which refers to the modified 4-D model S. Thiagarajan et al. The 4-D development model consists of the main stage: Define, Design, Develop, and Desseminate.  Based on trial data of validity, revised learning media are in the category is very valid with the average value of all aspects of 3,6 while the assessment for student learning outcomes show an average value of 78,38%, the number of student who complete the learning process is 25 people or 86,20% and 4 people or 13,79% learners are not complete. This indicates that learning media developed effectively used in the learning process. Student response more than 80% give positive response to learning media developed and interested to follow learning. The results obtained can be concluded that the local potential based image media developed meet the category valid, effective and practical so it can be said feasible to use.

Abstract

Plant genetic diversity is an emerging variation in a crop group caused by its genetic factors. Local corn germplasm as a source of plant genes that are able to adapt to the local environment. The purpose of this research is to obtain information on genetic variation of Tana Toraja local maize germ plasm using SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) marker. This research was conducted at Balitsereal Molecular Biology Laboratory, Agricultural Research Agency in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. A total of 4 local maize populations were analyzed by laboratory experimental method with observation with NTSYS pc 2.1 program. The results showed that the average number of alleles was 3.72 alleles per locus and the polymorphism rate of 0.53 with the genetic similarity coefficient was in the range of 0.47 to 0.85. 2 main clusters formed in the genetic similarity coefficient 0.47. Klaster I is Local DallePondan and Local Purple. Klaster II is Local Bebo and Kandora. The genetic distance is in the range of 0.15 to 0.74 with an average genetic distance of 0.46. From the data obtained shows that the 4th germplasm of the population of Tana Toraja Local maize diteleti has a very informative level of genetic diversity. Genetic diversity of local maize germplasm of Tana Toraja, can be used as a source of genes in the assembly of improved varieties in the future.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul biologi berbasis pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang valid, efektif, dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D atau model Thiagarajan yang dimodifikasi menjadi model 3-D, yakni tahap define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), dan develop (pengembangan). Subjek uji coba dari penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Bajeng Barat. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data dibagi atas 3 yaitu instrumen uji kevalidan berupa lembar validasi, instrumen uji kepraktisan berupa angket respon peserta didik, dan instrumen uji keefektifan berupa tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif (mix method). Berdasarkan data uji coba kevalidan modul yang direvisi sebanyak 3 kali, modul memenuhi kategori valid dengan skor rata-rata 3.39, untuk uji coba kepraktisan modul diperoleh nilai rata-rata 3.57 termasuk kategori sangat praktis dan setelah  dilakukan uji coba keefektifan modul  memenuhi kategori efektif untuk digunakan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 80.62, dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas dalam proses pembelajaran adalah 28 orang atau sekitar 87.5 % sedangkan yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 4 orang atau sekitar 12.5%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan masih belum sempurna namun layak untuk digunakan.Abstract:The aims of the research were to develop a valid, effective and practical biology-based Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) module. This research is a research development (Development and Development) which refers to 4-D development model or Thiagarajan model that is modified into 3-D model, ie define, design and develop. The subject of this research is the students of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Bajeng Barat. The research instrument is divided into 3 namely the validity test instrument in the form of validation sheet, the practicality test instrument in the form of a questionnaire of the learners' response and the effectiveness test instrument in the form of learning test. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis (mix method). Based on data of validity test of  3 times revised modules, it shows that the module meets the valid category with the mean score of 3.39, for modality practicality module obtained the mean score of 3.57 which belongs to very practical category and for effectiveness test of the module obtained effective category with the mean score of 80.62, with the total number of students who achieved minimum mastery criterion were 28 people or about 87.5% while 4 of them have not achieved minimum mastery criterion or about 12.5%. This indicates that the module developed is still not perfect, but it is feasible to use.

Abstract

The process of developing this study using the model of Dick & Carey. This study aims to product guiding animals microtechnic illustrative based on guided inquiry is valid, effective, and practical. Student education research subject is Biology 2014 class of fourth semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The instruments used in the form of sheet guiding practical validity. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis humanistik dengan pendekatan active learning di MTs Negeri 1 Bombana; 2) mengetahui hasil pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis humanistik dengan pendekatan active learning di MTs Negeri 1 Bombana, 3) mengetahui kendala yang dihadap oleh siswa dan guru pada pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis humanistik dengan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif (active learning) di MTs Negeri 1 Bombana. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah: pendekatan konstruktivisme, pendekatan saintifik, pendekatan realistik, dan pendekatan pedagogis. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah: Kepala Madrasah, Wakil Kepala Madrasah, dewan guru, dan peserta didik. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan tiga tahap, yaitu: reduksi data, paparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran PAI humanistik dengan pendekatan active learning, harus melalui tiga tahapan yakni: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Untuk mengatasi berbagai kendala yang dihadapi, beberapa upaya yang yang harus dilakukan yakni melengkapi berbagai buku referensi atau buku penunjang pembelajaran, guru diberikan kesempatan untuk mengikuti kegiatan workshop atau pelatihan, paling tidak sesering mungkin bertukar pikiran dengan guru terkait pembelajaran PAI humanistik dengan pendetan active learning. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Pembelajaran PAI humanistik dengan pendekatan active learning, perlu dikembangkan terutama terkait implementasi pola pembelajaran PAI yang humanis; 2) Metode Pembelajaran PAI dengan pendekatan active learning harus lebih variatif agar siswa tidak merasa merima pelajaran dengan metode yang monoton. 3) Hasil pembelajaran PAI humanistik dengan pendekatan active learning, harus terpenuhi tiga ranah pendidikan yakni: ranah kognitif, ranah afektif dan ranah psikomotor. 4) Partisipasi orang tua pada kegiatan proses pembelajaran hendaknya sejalan dengan program pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah terutama dalam pembelajaran PAI agar program pembelajaran tercapai sesuai yang diinginkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis integrasi spiritual Islam melalui pendekatan saintifik yang vali, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembagan ini dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi model penelitian pengembangan  dari Thiagarajan yang dikenal dengan 4-D yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. Data kevalidan perangkat yang dikembangkan  diperoleh melalui penilaian ahli dan praktisi dengan instrument berupa lembar validasi perangkat yang dikembangkan. Data kepraktisan diperoleh dengan instrumen lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Sedangkan data efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran yang sudah dikembangkan  diperoleh dari; observasi kemampuan pengelolaan pembelajaran,  tes hasil  belajar, angket respon peserta didik,  dan observasi sikap spiritual peserta didik. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis integrasi spiritual Islam melalui pendekatan saintifik memiliki nilai kevalidan 3,46 yang berarti sangat valid. Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria  praktis dengan nilai kepraktisan sebesar 0,76. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini seluruhnya berada pada kategori efektif;   kemampuan guru mengelolah pembelajaran sebesar 3,5 kategori sangat baik, ketuntasan belajar (T) peserta didik 86,67%, respon peserta didik terhadap modul yaitu 100% memberi respon positif, respon terhadap LKPD 93% memberi respon  positif, dan sikap spiritual peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran sebesar 2,3 kategori  sangat baik.
