Abstract

This research aims to design a trainer simulator wake height of the water level measurement using microcontroller arduino mega integrated with Human Machine Interface (HMI). This tool is designed to describe a working system of water level elevation measurements as a learning medium HMI. By using a microcontroller arduino mega, all processes in both input and output can be integrated to the HMI using a 7-inch LCD screen.

Abstract

The assessment system generally requires transparency and objectivity to assess student performance in terms of abstraction. Fuzzy logic method has been used as one of the best methods to reduce this uncertainty. Therefore, we have conducted a literature review to examine the application of fuzzy logic in assessing the performance of different students. The Preferred Reporting Items for the Systematics Review and Meta-Analysis Method (PRISMA) were used as the basic method for conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The articles reviewed were 38 articles from 2008 until 2018. All articles were classified based on the author, year of publication, type of journal or conference, sample size, context, data type, fuzzy technique, and basic findings. The results of this review show the positive effects of using fuzzy logic on student performance assessment. Overall, this review provides an appropriate reference for further research by identifying research needs in aspects of student performance assessment.

Abstract

Learning of vocational school learning should be able to prepare students who have qualified skills to fit the demands of the realistic activity of industry. Professional activities within the workplace should be integrated completed the learning process in the classroom, through pedagogical model design that facilitates learning in order to build students who have the ability to work in accordance with the demands from the industry. Development of model design has been done through collaboration models Project-based learning and PEPPER model through a mix method research. This research resulted a pedagogical syntax of learning models tools with characteristics industrial standard, which quantitatively tested in learning of Computer Network, so that the application of this model can improve the presumption of vocational school quality through graduates quality.

Abstract

This article presents a preliminary study which was done through a literature review of various scientific references on the development of human resources through non-formal technological and vocational education. Current issues and problems in developing countries are related to the low quality of human resources in villages due to the low education and skills (technological and vocational skills). The development of non-formal technological and vocational education for village communities becomes an alternative solution, particularly when formal education does not provide solutions. With the concept of life-long learning, non-formal technological and vocational education is based on practical knowledge and skills. Non-formal education allows a learning model which addresses individuals’ learning needs. Thus, it becomes one of solutions to overcome unemployment.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, berpengaruh juga terhadap kemaj uan i novasi media pembel aj aran. Makal ah i ni mengekspl orasi hasi l perencanaan, pembuatan dan implementasi modul virtual pembelajaran dasar teknik digital. Tujuannya adalah untuk menguji validitas produk sehingga memenuhi kelayakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum baru sangat menonjolkan pendekatan saintifik dengan pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik. Perancangan skenario pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan sai ti fik memerlukan hasil riset implementasi di kelas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran elektronika dasar di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Pengembangan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran bercirikan pembelajaran saintifik, mengadopsi pendekatan problem based learning. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode pengungkapan pendapat dan observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data di lakukan dengan menggunakan angket, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menghasilkan RPP berbasis pendekatan saintifik melalui model problem based learning, dan mendapat tanggapan positif dari guru dan peserta didik, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan hard dan soft skill peserta didik .

Abstract

Makalah ini memaparkan hasil pengembangan model evaluasi pembelajaran dari serangkaian dimensi penilaian portofolio, proyek, presentasi proyek dan tes tulis. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada kegiatan praktikum teknik analog melalui model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL). Logika fuzzy merupakan suatu alternatif alat pengambil keputusan yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk mengevaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Keputusan akhir dalam evaluasi PjBL menghasilkan proses evaluasi yang tidak kaku dan objektif karena keputusan akhir dapat ditentukan melalui proses defuzzifikasi yang sepenuhnya dilakukan menggunakan fuzzy logic toolbox.  Model evaluasi berbasis logika fuzzy diharapkan mendapat trend yang baik dan bisa menjadi petunjuk untuk mengembangkan model evaluasi yang diadopsi di sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate a simple, rapid analysis, portable, and inexpensive spectrophotometer. Different from other spectrophotometers, the present instrument consisted of a single white light-emmiting-diode (LED) as a light source, a light sensor, and arduino electronic card as an acquisition system. To maintain a constant light intensity, a common white-color LED emitting a 450-620 nm continous spectrum was employed. Software was written in C++ to control photometer through a USB interface and for data acquistion to the computer. The instrument is designed to be simple and compacted with sizes of 200 x 130 x 150 mm for length, width, and height, respectively. The analysis of the total cost isabout less than 500 USD, while commercially available offers price of more than 10,000 USD. Thus, this makes the present instrument feasible for teaching support media in developing countries. The effectiveness of the present spectrophotometer for analyzing solution concentration (i.e. curcumin) was also demonstrated. Interestingly, the present spectrophotometer is able to measure the concentration of curcumin precisely with an accuracy of more than 90%. Different from commercially available standard UV-visible spectrophotometers that have limitations in the analysis of concentration of less than 50 ppm, the present system can measure the concentration with no limitation since the measurement is based on the LED light being penetrated.
