Abstract

This research focuses on the concept attainment model with demonstration method to science-physics instruction in junior high school. The purpose of this research are to study differences between of science-physics students’ learning activities by using concept attainment model with demonstration method and by direct intruction learning model, and to assess the influence of concept attainment model with demonstration method to student’s science-physics achievement. The kind of research is an experiment by using post-test only control group design. The technique of data collection are observation, documentation, interview, and test. Data analysis technique that used is independent sample T-Test assistance SPSS 16. Result of the study are the student’s learning activities is 0,000 or  0,05, and the result of student’s learning achievement is 0,0005 or  0,05. Based on the analysis of the results, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference of students’ science-physics learning activities between the class by using concept attainment model with demonstration method and direct intruction learning model, and the model is significantly imfluence to the student’s science-physics achievement.

Abstract

This research is development research focused on the teaching material of physics based on Smart Student Physics Magazine (MSPF). The objectives of the research are to study validation, motivation, and students’ achievement by teaching material of physics based on (MSPF) on science learning at junior high school (focused on motion of the object material). Design of development research uses 4-D model. The population of the research is the students of class VIII at SMPN 1 Jenggawah, while the sample is class VIII B. The data collection technique are observation, documentation, test, and interview. The descriptive analysis of validation and motivation used percentage table of validation logic and criteria of students’ learning motivation assessment. The descriptive analysis of students’ physics outcomes used the average score of students learning outcomes. The result of problem formulation showed that fair validation score from experts is 3,99 categorized as valid enough and can be used on learning activity. The average score of students learning motivation is 80,04% and it is categorized on the category of motivated. The students science average achievement on affectiveis 82,76, on psychomotor is 94,92 and on cognitive is 71. It can be concluded that teaching material of physics based on developed (MSPF) is categorized as valid enough. However, it cannot create an outstanding outcomes yet in each domains.

Abstract

Lesson study is a development model for educators through sustainable and  collaborative learning. Lesson study was conducted in three phases, namely the plan, do, see phase, in which these phases were implemented in a structured, cyclical and continuous manner. In this study, the subject of lesson study implementation were four Physics pre- service conducted teaching practice in one of public junior high schools in Bondowoso. Results showed that lesson study implementation enhance these physics pre-service teachers teaching ability from poor to excellent.Keywords: Lesson Study, Pre-service Physics Teacher, Teaching AbilityABSTRAKLesson study merupakan suatu model pengembangan kemampuan mengajar melalui pengkajian pembelajaran secara kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan. Lesson study dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu plan, do, see yang dilaksanakan secara terstruktur, bersiklus dan berkelanjutan. Dalam penelitian ini subjek dari pelaksanaan lesson study adalah empat orang  mahasiswa calon guru fisika yang sedang melaksanakan PPL di salah satu SMP Negeri di Bondowoso. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan lesson study dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru fisika dari kriteria kurang baik menjadi kriteria sangat baik.Kata kunci: Calon guru fisika, Lesson Study, Kemampuan Mengajar

Abstract

The research focused on the influence of PBL to students’ science process skills and students’ physics achievement. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe students’ science process skills the using Problem Based Learning model in learning physics, (2) to examine the effect Problem Based Learning model to students’ physics achievement in learning physics. The type of this research is experiment by using post-test only control desig.  Sample of the research are VIIIE as an experiment class and VIIIB as an control class. The techniques of data collection are observation, test,documentation, interview and  portfolio. The techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis and Independent Sample T-Test by SPSS version 16. The result of the research are (1) average value  students’  science process skills  is 79, (2) students’ physics achievement acquired of analytical results Independent-Sample T-test Sig. (1-tailed) of 0.002.The research can be concluded that (1) the average students’ science process skillsin good criteria, (2) there are effect of problem based learning model to students’ achievement in learning physics.

Abstract

This research is about applying of cooperative learning model, type Number Head Together (NHT), which is combined with experimental method. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of NHT model and the combination toward the student’s habit, knowledge, and creativity. It is included experimental research that was done in SMA Negeri Arjasa. The data accumulation technique used documentation, observation, and test. The analyzing data used T test with SPSS 20. The result of the students habit achieved signification number is about 0,000. Furthermore, the student’s knowledge achieved signification number about 0,012. And the result of student’s creativity was achieved signification number about 0,000. Because the signification number of student’s habit, knowledge, and creativity is less than 0,05; it can be concluded that Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model combined with experimental method influenced to the student’s habit, knowledge and also the student’s creativity of 10th grade students in SMA Negeri Arjasa.

Abstract

The research aims to produce a product media of educational game “Monopoli Fisika Asik (MOSIK)”on science subjects in junior high school. Media of educational game “Monopoli Fisika Asik (MOSIK)” is a medium of learning based educational game is monopoly which had elements of education and can be used in study of fun and interesting. The design development used in this research is the development model’s 4-D according to Thiagarajan. The population of this research were students of class VIII-A at SMPN 1 Kalibaru.Technique to collect the data  were  documentation, observation, questionnaire, and test. Based on the result of the study showed that media educational game “MOSIK” fit for use as a medium of learning science with valid category of 4,02. Student learning interest is very high at 92,1 % with categories of excellent. Student learning activity showed activity very high is 92,95 % and completeness of student learning outcomes at 85.71% with an average post-test 87.57.

Abstract

Cooperative model type STAD with student worksheet is one model that isable to bring up student involvement actively in science lessons. This research aimsare to reviewing the difference of learning outcomes between students who use themodel type STAD with student worksheet and the students who use direct learningmodel in SMP, to describe the students learning activities during use cooperativemodel type STAD with student worksheet,and to describe students learningmotivation after using the cooperative model type STAD with student worksheet.This type of research is an experimental research conducted at SMPN 7 Bondowoso,class VIIA as an experimental class with the number of 29 students and VIIB as acontrol class with the number of 29 students. Source of data derived from theassessment by the observer, post-test, and filling the questionnaire. Based on theresearch that has been conducted, the obtained 1) the result of research is asignificant difference between students who use cooperative model type STAD withstudent worksheet with students who use direct learning model in SMP, 2) theresults of students learning activities at the first meeting by 79.4% and in the secondmeeting amounted to 88,4%. Means the learning activities of students while usingthe STAD model with student worksheet included in the category ofvery active, 3)the results of student learning motivation that is 89,9%. It has been interpreted thatstudents motivation after using the model STAD accompanied student worksheetincluded in the category of very motivated.

Abstract

Sahabat IPA pocketbook is designed carefully to enable students to bring and learn the materials anytime and anywhere due to its practicality. The pocketbook is interesting not only its design but also the contents presented.  Besides, sahabat IPA pocketbook contains selected topics that are related to two fields of study  physics and biology. The theme presented in sahabat IPA pocketbook focuses on a specific theme; the auditory process which is related to the chapter of sense of hearing and sonar system. The theme is integrated with two fields of study including physics and biology covering vibration, wave, sound, and sense of hearing. The  purposes of  this  research  are: to produce a valid pocketbook, to describe the effectiveness of the pocketbook, to describe student’s response towards the use of sahabat IPA pocketbook. The development design implemented in this research was 4-D development model. The researcher employed several techniques to collect data including interview, observation, test, and questionnaire. The results of the research show that the pocketbook is highly valid with 81% of expert validity and 88% of user validity. The results of the data analysis also show that sahabat IPA pocketbook is highly effective with the score of 82,58% achieved. Regarding the third purpose of the research, the students responded the pocketbook positively for every aspect presented on the questionnaire. In short, sahabat IPA pocketbook is a good and appropriate alternative to be used as a learning material to support fun learning.
