Abstract

Kurangnya kreativitas guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran dikelas membuat siswa menjadi jenuh untuk mengikuti pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut guru memerlukan media yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya media boneka tangan yang dikembangkan menjadi boneka tangan dengan dua karakter. Media boneka tangan ini digunakan dalam pembelajaran tema lingkungan siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa kelas II SD. Data yang  dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data ahli media dan data ahli materi dan data hasil uji coba produk. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket dan soal. Pada validasi pertama diperoleh presentase keseluruhan sebesar 76,25%, pada validasi kedua diperoleh presentase sebesar 95%, pada validasi dengan guru kelas diperoleh presentase keseluruhan sebesar 95%. Hasil ujicoba kelompok kecil 1 siswa diperoleh persentase 73,33%, hasil uji coba kelompok kecil 5 siswa diperoleh persentase 72%, Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil 10 siswa diperoleh persentase 80,67%, dan hasil uji coba pada seluruh siswa diperoleh persentase 82,06%. Rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebelum menggunakan media boneka tangan sebesar 55,38 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebelum menggunakan media boneka tangan sebesar 82,86. Hal tersebut menunjukkan media boneka tangan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengembangan ini, guru dapat mengembangkan media boneka tangan menjadi boneka tangan yang memiliki dua karakter sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran bercerita dengan tokoh lebih dari dua karakter.

Abstract

In this research, the researcher developed new innovation in natural sciences learning of elementary school by implementing augmented reality technology. The method that used in this research was research and development method based on Borg and Gall theory which consists often stages: 1) research and information collecting, 2) planning, 3) develop preliminary for more product, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) operational product revision, 8) operational field testing, 9) final product revision, 10) dissemination and implementation. The result of this research is learning media of natural sciences learning in elementary school by utilizing augmented reality technology. Based on the implementation of experiment, it is obtained the data that learning process using augmented reality which is developed can improve the students’ learning achievement.
