Abstract

Variations may occur in the speech community that has two or more languages. Variations of these languages is the diversity of language and reflect the cultural diversity in the area Majenang. Of course, the diversity of language variation contained in Majenang background underlying the occurrence of a Varied language. Variations in language that will be displayed in this study is the language variation that occurs in the realm of social market, a market in which there Majenang. The purpose of this study is to describe the background of the realm of language variation terjadiya social Majenang said. This study is a qualitative approach to social and use the case study method. Collecting data in this study is observation, interview, tapping techniques, and study the documents. The validity of the data used in this study using triangulation 3, the triangulation of sources, methods, and theory.Keywords: Background, Language Variation, Social Sphere, Majenang LATAR BELAKANG VARIASI BAHASA RANAH SOSIAL MASYARAKAT TUTUR PERBATASAN JAWA TENGAH-JAWA BARAT DI MAJENANGAbstrakVariasi bahasa dapat terjadi pada masyarakat tutur yang memiliki dua bahasa atau lebih. Variasi bahasa tersebut merupakan keberagaman bahasa dan mencerminkan keberagaman budaya di daerah Majenang. Tentunya keberagaman variasi bahasa yang terdapat di Majenang mempunyai latar belakang yang melandasi terjadinya suatu variaasi bahasa. Variasi bahasa yang akan dipaparkaan dalam penelitian ini merupakan variasi bahasa yang terjadi dalam ranah sosial yakni pasar, pasar yang terdapat di Majenang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan latar belakang dari terjadiya variasi bahasa ranah sosial masyarakat tutur Majenang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik dan mengggunakan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, teknik sadap, dan studi dokumen. Validitas data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 3 triangulasi, yakni triangulasi sumber, metode, dan teori.Kata Kunci : Latar Belakang, Variasi Bahasa, Ranah Sosial, Majenang

Abstract

The research population was all tenth grade Social students of Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 6 Surakarta. The research method used was qualitative method using descriptive-qualitative approach. The participants of the research were one hundred thirty (130) Social students? works. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were content analysis and in-depth interviewing. Data analyzing used was interactive analysis model. The followings are the conclusions of the research. First, three types of language errors in students? exposition text are sentence error, diction error, and spelling error. Second, the most detected type of error is spelling error in which the use of comma has the highest percentage. Third, the casual factors of language error were as follow: the students know less about writing principles; the students have less motivation to read; the students tend to emphasize the idea rather than writing principle; the students tend to be lazy to do editing before submitting their works; the class condition is not supportive; and the students are demanded to write structurally correct. Fourth, some efforts done to minimize language error: teachers give clarification immediately when they notice language error; cross-reading among students before submitting their works; and more writing activities in class.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in a drama script. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the subject of research is drama Opera Kecoa by N. Riantiarno. Data sources are obtained from places and events, informants, drama script, and documents. Data collection using document analysis techniques. As one form of literary work, Opera Kecoa drama script contains character education values. The values of character education in this drama script are shown through characterizations and the flow of events in each round. Based on the results of the analysis found ten character education values contained in the Oera Kecoa drama script, these values include: religious, social care, tolerance, hard work, discipline, democracy, patriotic, love peace, friendly, independent, creative, and responsibility . By reason of the values of these characters, the Opera Kecoa drama script, can be used as a medium of learning in the college literature.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menemukan simbolisme dan wujud nilai emansipasi yang terdapat pada tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam kisah pewayangan, khususnya Mahabarata. Sebagai bentuk kontruksi sosial, emansipasi memunculkan pemahaman baru pada kaum perempuan terkait dengan peran dan posisinya dalam ranah domestik maupun publik. Munculnya anggapan perempuan harus mampu tampil di depan publik mulai disetujui semua kalangan, namun di sisi lain mulai tidak diimbangi dengan pemenuhan tugas dalam ranah domestiknya. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi banyaknya pemahaman dan praktik yang keliru terkait makna peran dan kebebasan di kalangan perempuan, di mana semuanya terjadi dalam rangka mengusung persamaan hak, sebagai prinsip dasar dari adanya emansipasi. Fenomena ini berimplikasi pada munculnya kesenjangan antara ambisi untuk dapat totalitas berperan di ruang publik dan pemenuhan kewajiban personalnya di ranah domestik. Kajian berikut bertujuan untuk dapat menemukan nilai-nilai ideal yang berkaitan dengan peranan kaum perempuan, khususnya yang terkandung di dalam sastra Jawa klasik. Hasil dari kajian merupakan perbandingan antara makna emansipasi perempuan yang saat ini dianut di masyarakat, dengan konsep peranan perempuan yang terjabarkan dalam kisah Mahabarata. This paper aims to find the symbolism and emancipation value form found in female characters in puppet stories, especially Mahabharata. As a form of social construction, emancipation creates a new understanding for women in relation to their roles and positions in the domestic and public sphere. The emergence of women's assumption must be able to appear in public began to be approved by all circles, but on the other hand began not matched by the fulfillment of duties in the domestic realm. This is due to the many misunderstandings and misconceptions related to the meaning of roles and freedom among women, where everything happens in order to promote equality, as a basic principle of emancipation. This phenomenon has implications for the emergence of the gap between ambition to be able to play a role in the public sphere and fulfillment of personal obligations in the domestic sphere. The following study aims to find the ideal values related to the role of women, especially those contained in classical Javanese literature. The result of the study is a comparison between the meanings of women's emancipation that is currently embraced in society, with the concept of the role of women in the Mahabharata story.
